Chapter 1 – The Betrayal of the God of Balance
The heavens burned.
Kael, the God of Balance, stood at the peak of the divine spire, his silver eyes watching as the skies split open with the fury of gods. For centuries he had maintained the fragile harmony between light and darkness, life and death, order and chaos. Mortals prayed to him for fairness, for justice, for peace.
But gods do not love balance. They crave dominance.
"Kael," thundered the God of Flames, his wings igniting the sky. "Your time as judge ends tonight."
Around him, the other gods descended—beings of storm, shadow, and blood. Once his companions, now united against him.
Kael's heart did not stir with fear, only sorrow. "So this is how it is… envy cloaked as righteousness."
The Goddess of Stars sneered. "You stood between us and eternity. Without you, the cosmos bends to our will."
Their weapons glowed—spears of lightning, blades of fire, chains woven from darkness itself. Kael raised no weapon. He was Balance, not War.
But when the first strike fell, the heavens trembled.
Kael fought. His power was vast: light and shadow surged together in harmony, creating barriers that shattered storms, waves of force that repelled flame. For every strike he endured, he returned a hundredfold.
Yet they were many. And he was one.
Blades pierced his flesh. Chains bound his wings. His divine essence cracked, spilling silver light across the void.
Kneeling, Kael bled starlight onto the divine spire. His voice echoed across eternity:
"You think this is my end… but Balance is eternal. Where shadow falls, light shall rise. Where gods betray, a new dawn shall awaken."
The Goddess of Stars whispered the final command. "Banish him. Let his divinity scatter."
Their combined power struck. Kael's body shattered into dust, his soul cast adrift through the endless void.
But even as darkness swallowed him, he smiled faintly.
Somewhere, beyond the veil of this dying realm, a new world awaited.
And there… his story would begin again.
