Chapter 21 - Mission Complete

Two days later Alara was finally waking up from her fatigue. The repeated drainage and restoration of her energy and body had taken a massive toll on her body and unlike Alrin who was accustomed to such things she was not so the second she relaxed the toll instantly caught up to her.

Opening her eyes Alara looked around the room and saw Alrin sitting nearby in cultivation and only when she started to get out of bed did his eyes open.

"You're awake, how are you feeling?" He asked getting up to walk to her side.

"Tired how long was I out for?" She said sitting up. Her body still felt a bit fatigued but other than that she was healthy.

"Two days."

"I guess I over did it more than I thought."

"Why don't you rest some more I'll tell the others you're awake?"

"If you're that worried help me up." She said holding out her hand.

Doing as she said Alrin helped her up but as soon as she stood up she almost fell over only to be caught by him.

"Hehe I guess I'm a bit more tired than I thought."

"If you don't want to rest more let me make you something to eat to restore your energy."

"Then I grant you the right to escort me down."

"What?"

"I'm saying you can carry me down to the kitchen or do you not want to?" She said looking deeply at him.

Hearing her talk Alrin felt a change with her but he did not know if it was for the better or worse.

"I won't hurt you, you said you trust me right?" She added seeing he was still hesitant.

Hearing that he could only do as she said as he began to carry her down to the kitchen. As Alrin held her Alara had a large smile on her face. She had only watched the last part of his tribulation but that was enough for her to know Alrin needed more love so she planned on giving it to him.

"If you ever need someone to listen I'll be here." She said quietly to which Alrin did not reply.

As he took a step outside the room Edward was also leaving his room planning on going outside to train. He took a step out and made eye contact with Alrin. He saw him holding Alara who had a smile on her face and simply nodded his head before heading back into his room. In the end no one said anything and Alrin proceeded to the kitchen.

Pulling out the chair he put Alara down and pushed her in, "I'll have something ready soon."

"I'm looking forward to it make a lot."

Hearing that Alrin pulled out one of the most valuable meats he had hunted the meat of a wyrm. It was a lower levels one which is why he was able to kill it when it underestimated him. Normally he saved it for after a battle because it boosted his already great recovery but since he had left the Circle of Sen Beasts he had not had a reason to eat it. Yet from now on although he did not realize it he would do his best to take care of Alara.

"How did you manage to hunt a wyrm?" Alara asked?

"It underestimated me and ate me alive. Although it was tougher on the inside it was not so strong that I could not cut through."

"Hehe I can only picture its face when it realized you were tougher."

"Well it was still close its stomach acid was slightly faster than my healing and by the time I escaped a good amount of my body was dissolved down to the bone." He spoke as he was cutting the pieces of meat into steaks. While he was doing this Alara suddenly appeared and hugged him from behind. She still needed more rest but pushing herself a bit wouldn't hurt.

"You've been through a lot."

"I'm still alive so its fine."

"Don't be fine with suffering when you are suffering with anything come to me for help I will always be available for you."

"…"

"Promise me."

"Fine but I want you to do the same."

"I'll happily go to you but since I'm me it probably won't happen." She said arrogantly.

"You say that but didn't I already save you?"

Hearing that Alara let go of him and pouted, "I still had my trump card." She said returning to her seat.

Not long later after Alara had finished eating Vera and Rex returned after helping in the town.

"Alaraaa! You're up." Vera said running over to hug her.

"ViVi I'm glad to see you're ok." She said hugging her back.

"So does this mean we can leave now?" Rex said interrupting the happy reunion.

"How are you feeling now?" Vera asked letting go of Alara completely ignoring Rex.

"A lot better now that I ate I can leave whenever."

"Then we will leave in the early morning."

"What about the town?" Alara asked.

"It will be fine the formation is gone and other disciples from the sect are here to help clean up." Vera explained.

"That's good. Since no one is doing anything does anyone wanna spar? I feel like moving my body after sleeping for days." She asked to which Vera and Rex turned to Alrin.

"Alrin you got this you have the regeneration to survive." Rex said before he quickly left.

"I agree have fun Alrin." Vera said quickly following Rex out. This was because despite the fact Vera enjoyed battle Alara was her exception after the last time she fought her.

"Hehe looks like its just us again come on." She said walking outside.

Minutes later Alrin was on the ground out of breath while Alara seemed to be enjoying herself. In the early stages of his cultivation Alrin simply had no effective ways to deal with someone as versatile as Alara. Every time he attacked her the force of his attacks was dispersed by her petals and although individual petals would not do much damage to him when she made a giant club with them and hit him it still did damage.

"Thanks I feel better after moving around." She said holding her hand out to him.

"Well at least one of us is feeling better." He said having been unable to do anything.

"Come on be happy or should I get more poison you were quite happy and talkative then." She teased him.

"Funny you can keep sparring by yourself out here." He said heading back inside.

"Come on I was just joking don't leave." She said following him with a smile.

Their last day here in this small town came to an end and they finally left early the next morning ready to completely relax in the sect.

Although they had left they were not left with feelings of joy. A total of about 200 people had died from the demon beasts going wild and Vera had told them they Csepel was not the original target. They had a done a great thing preventing the rise of an immortal fiend but they had also figured out someone had set this up as for why they could not be sure.

Things may not have gone as expected but the mission was finally complete.
