Chapter 6 - Power

The eyes Kai were staring into were sparkly, the color wasn't even one single color, it was as if he was looking into a cave full of all kinds of crystals being beautifully illuminated by the moon shining just perfectly above the cave. She had a royal blue primary color and her underside was a violet color, and she had vibrant red around her eyes, she was certainly a sight to behold, scales looked smooth as silk, and her body was slender, if she was a looker now, she'd definitely be one as an adult dragon, and Kai, felt like he understood true beauty for the first time in his life, and the fact she was the princess too only added to it, his heart pounded hard inside his chest from his nerves screaming to hide and he did, hiding back behind Karill, covering a small blush.

"My parents are not here right now, they are currently busy with some tasks elsewhere, so until they return home, I am the current acting queen, and before we do anything else, we should meet the elders, they are waiting waiting for you, especially our seer." She said, with a wave of her talon she turned around and led the trio further into the castle. It wasn't long until they reached the meeting room.

Once Kai entered, the older dragons all looked right at him. One was pure black, with 2 jagged horns on his head, this was Larson, another was pure white, white as snow with a tail spike and a small spike where each bone in her wings ended, this was Jackyl. The third had no horns or spikes but had a primary color of a dark maroon red but his underside was more of a proper red, this was Khalis, the fourth had a green primary color and a aquamarine blue for her underside, this was Liro.

"Jackyl, Larson, Khalis, Liro." Greeted the princess. "Moon." They returned. "So is this the one of ancient blood?" Jackyl asked, she walked around him, poking him in a few places, grabbing his tail and his paws, knocking on some of his joints, making sure to analyze him completely. "Yes, he seems to be the one." She stated with a nod. "Can someone please explain what the hell is going on? I ask my parents they give no answer and tell me to wait, this seems as good a time as any!" Kai exclaimed, growing very impatient.

"Very well." Jackyl, the white one, stated. She lit the coals in the middle of the room and started to chant something in an unknown language Kai for unknown reasons could understand. "Take this fire and utilize it as the projection to show us that of which is known, and show us what is to come, show us the vision of current relevance." The flames turned purple and a figure stood in the flame, wearing a black cloak. Her skin was pure, free of any blemish or scratch, her hair was a nice blonde color, her eyes were not visible due to her hood.

The figure had a creepy- eerie, vibe about her. "This, young dragon, is a powerful dark witch known as Valeena, her ultimate goal is to find you and steal your power, and turn your being itself into power, ultimately killing you and destroying your soul, your soul would not be able to go wherever it is supposed to until the day she dies." Khalis explained. "Power? What power?! I don't even have an element!" Kai countered, annoyed. "Actually you do, as a matter of fact you have an elemental in you, three of them, judging by the runes on your necklace there, it's wind, fire, and ice; the necklace was there to inhibit your powers until-." "INHIBIT MY POWERS?!" Kai almost screamed, enraged by this news.

All this time he thought he was powerless, one of the rare few dragons who didn't have an element only to find out his parents has been locking them away and not even telling him about it in the first place. "How long were you two, my own parents planning on keeping this from me?! You could've at least told me when I was younger! Instead of leaving me to think I was helpless!!!" He yelled at his parents. "Calm down so-" Rhazi started, backing up a little, Kai's aura, his anger was becomming suffocating, horns of flame appeared on his head and a chilling mist filled the room although only at floor level.

"CALM DOWN?! HOW THE FUCK DO YOU EXPECT ME TO CALM DOWN WHEN FROM THE VERY BEGINNING I COULD'VE BEEN TRAINING, PREPARING TO FIGHT OFF THIS WORTHLESS WITCH!! BUT YOU WERE TOO SCARED TO LET YOUR OWN SON—WHO I ASSUME IS SUPPOSED TO BE THE ONE TO FIGHT HER OFF—PREPARE!" He screamed, growing angrier and angrier as he spoke.

"AND I-" he continued but was cut off as suddenly a massive bolt of lightning came down through the roof striking him, but it didn't just flash in and out, it stayed, he was groaning and screaming in pain from the strike. His anger had gotten far too strong, overwhelmed him and his abilities, the anger it caused some of his power to activate, and such an abrupt forceful uncontrolled activation of dormant power was agonizing.

In the meantime, the witch noticed that the sky had suddenly darkened and she grinned. "The child is stronger than I'd anticipated! This is perfect! With his power I'll certainly become powerful as a goddess, and none will ever be able to stand against me!" She snickered before full on cackling, heading towards where she first sensed the boy. She knew, of course, that he would no longer be there, but she could use anything he may have left behind such as fur to be able to find him with ease. She already had an idea as to where he'd gone, she could even sense so, but she wanted to be completely certain was tossing one of her crystals in her hand as she moved with swift precision, each step deliberate, keeping an eye out for rare ingredients, most likely floral, she doubted she'd find any rare fauna around the area.
