"Descendant?! What? Wait! Huh?" Kai recoiled in absolute confusion to the words that had just been spoken to him. "Yes my descendant, from what I've seen over the years after my passing is that you are the only one of my bloodline to have been born with the ancient blood. Which means, you are a true ancient blooded dragon since I myself had been directly descendant of the ancient ones, well, before they all perished anyways, after that it'd just been a simple matter of, selecting a dragon, and imbuing them with the power at least before they hatch, those who are in the know believe it is the gods' way of trying to protect this world." Rameer explained as he looked around, the realm beginning to shimmer and crack apart. "Looks like our time here is done, you seem to be waking up, I may see you soon. Either through memories or directly. There is no time for any proper questions, not this time anyways. Good luck boy, the world is counting on you. Do not fall victim to her wicked ways." He warned before vanishing as the realm fully broke apart and fell away, leaving Kai in a white void for but a moment before he startled awake.
"you're finally awake." A voice said, making him jump before he found a pair of sparkling eyes watching him. "Oh sh-" he cut himself off, quickly bowing. She giggled at his embarrassment. "No need for formalities, at least not right now. Apologies for startling you, I just came to check up on you since you were sleeping for a day, to be honest I checked on ya every few hours, making sure there were no adverse effects, well, after those living in the castle walls itself were calmed of course." She grinned before laughing, "That was certainly a mess to take care of, you ahould've seen the guards' faces! It was priceless!."
"That bolt, what happened? And those guards, are they okay?" Kai would ask the question burning at the forefront of his mind. "They're fine, a little bruising and minor sprains, a bit shaken up, might be terrified of thunder and lightning for a bit, nothing serious." The princess answered with another giggle, she seemed moreless entertained by the whole ordeal than anything else. Only just now did Kai realize she was lying down this entire time, facing him, looking rather surprisingly amused.
He was curious as to why she was so amused but didn't question, she's royalty, she can do as she pleases. She herself was rather intrigued by this innocent little dragon that pretty much showed up at their doorstep. Wished to learn more about him, whether through interaction or observations. "Not much happens around here. It gets sooo boring, and my father not listening to anything I say also tends to get annoying.
I tell him we should hunt down that witch before any danger befalls us, but does he listen? Though I get why, she's too powerful, between you and me our army would be more than enough the take her out, but he refuses to listen. 'We'd lose too many lives' he says, though he doesn't seem concerned with that when going to war against other threats.
With you though, she can be defeated, and he'd have no say about it, because it was an elder's vision, granted you need training, lots of training by the looks of it. Of course training with our strongest guards, the elders, or even me won't give you all the strength you will need to control your abilities without them flaring up out of nowhere and control and doing more harm to yourself and others than anything else, though that may be incorrect.
I suspect our elders are stronger than they let on." She'd explained, getting to the point after realizing she was about to rant about her frustrations, she seemed prone to getting distracted with other thoughts and yapping out everything on her mind.
"What do you suggest then?" Kai asked her. "First you train with our guards, after that I will train you personally, see where your powers lie on the surface and what you can do with them, the training with my top guards and warriors will be to gain strategy and strength as well as build up your speed and maneuverability.
Your parents decided it better to give you space, considering you might not he so pleased with them after your discovery so they chose to let you stay in the castle while they live in the town since you'r be safest here, of course they intend to check on you rather often, like, every day often." Moon explained, trying to get everything out in a timely manner, "now let's get to the dining hall, I'm sure you're pretty hungry." She stated.
The castle building was nothing like village houses, made of ice crystal, a kind of object that can be quite dense and has the same kind of texture as smooth marble, not only that but it also can't melt and it's tougher than diamond, humans would find it very valuable for both what it takes to make it, and the way it looks, this kind of thing was accomplished by multiple dragons using their different elements to essentially sculpt out the building and to create it, one of them of course being a highly powerful dragon with the ice element.
Moon got up and headed out the door, Kai, who was desperately trying to keep his stomach from growling so as not to embarrass himself, followed after her, he hadn't eaten in a whole day after all. As Moon pushed open the double doors the loud buzzing of those gathered in the dining room for breakfast---consisting of guards, special guests, and those living in the castle itself---seemed to end abruptly as Moon walked in with her head held high, her stance showing pride, slight intimidation and determination, majestic. Kai however, was the complete opposite, shy, nervous, sheepish, keeping his head down and his wings pressed tightly against his body, as if he'd been caught doing something he shouldn't and knew it was bad. Hundreds of eyes watched them, some gawking, some curious, others exciteable with whispers going around the room. "Is that the one?" One asked, "Look at him. Is that small fry really the one we're supposed to put our hope in?" Another whispered. "Look at him, he's nothing like our princess, he looks so small and insecure. There's no way he's supposed to kill that witch." Said another. No matter how hard he tried to avoid listening, his attempt only made overhearing easier. While some knew some of what was going on thanks to rumors. But the ones that didn't had worse things to say.
"Who does this guy think he is? Standing so close to the princess. Has he no shame?" Another whisper. "Does this little brat think he's gonna get something out of her, or her parents?" Another. "Is he responsible for that bolt a moon ago? He's far too dangerous. Why is he not in shackles, at least? I saw a bunch of guards in the infermary earlier." And so on and so forth. "He's probably a servant her father hired while he's away, look at the boy, our princess is far more majestic than that boy." The dragonling slowed a bit as he glanced around. "What are you idiots gawking at? A performance? There's nothing to see here, this isn't some sort of act for you to watch. Get back to whatever it is you were doing." Moon demanded, seeming irritated. "Don't mind the whispers or rumors. Some might not like the idea of some stranger getting special privileges, while others are merely cautious of you." She informed in a sweet tone before snickering and whispering in his ear.
"Others are infatuated and think they have a chance to get with the beautiful princess, between you and me my family has tried to set up little dates for me a few times so he could arrange them as marriages in the future when I'm of age but every single time the guy that tried to make a move on me, well, let's just say they each either went half insane, or will have half their fertility rate in the future, so they gave up after the las5 one nearely fell all the way from above the clouds to the ground." Her eyes glowed a moment so he'd understand how she caused at least the last one, making Kai snicker to himself.
"Some idiots don't understand how relations work." "I've never understood the stupid beauty things, or trying to use accessories or whatever else to look better. Really though you're either good looking or you aren't, if you add things in attempt to look better you just make yourself look weird." He said, relaxing a little bit especially with the normal chatter resuming but a bit quieter rather than blasting out one's eardrums.
"Since there is usually a large crowd here I've devised a system to ensure all get food if they wish to have it rather than get it themselves, we've sort of copied humans in a few ways they do things from cooking all assortments of dishes to food distribution." She continued as she stopped at a table, letting him take a seat before taking one herself across from him, judging by the design of the table---more like a crystallized pedestal in the shape of a table---and the seats, this was one where the more important ones in the castle sat, guests invited by the royal family, elders, and the royal family of the region or other royal families that may be visiting. "Some dragons like cooked food and dishes, others prefer the raw stuff. While cooked food and dishes don't have as much nutrients for a dragon, they just like the taste."
