Synopsis
When Izuku Midoriya falls into one of the old traps of the perished Boogeyman, he knows that his work is not done yet - and so does One for All. Bleeding out admists ruins, the sentient being of OFA decides to transfer it's power to the next holder but not via DNA transfer. Rather by tracing back to it's roots - to the Shigaraki bloodline. To the shock of the Vestiges, the only descendant of the bloodline does indeed exist - and OFA is passed on. But the Vestiges wake up to a site that neither of them expected - a scorched city turned to a battlefield, people dying around every corner and a 13 year old girl, the very last surviving Shigaraki fighting to live. She chose to forget her old Japanese name, in favor of a new one - Beth Ashton.

Chapter 1 - Prologue

Izuku's PoV

I lied on a cold pavement, flames surrounding the ruins of a mansion. After the death of All for One, my bloody father I focused my efforts on bringing down the extensive network he built over the years. The data he kept in this house were about me - his plans for me and my mother. While he never got to finish them, Garaki still remained out there. The threat of his plans remained very much real, with the Doctor alive.

I glanced through bleary eyes at the USB disk that I managed to recover. I should've known better that AFO always had plans above plans in case of an emergency. That damn bastard was still a thorn in everyone's sides even after his death - in fact he died laughing, with blood dripping down his torn black suit. That's also when he revealed the fact that we were related.

Our mission is not done, yet - I've heard the wispy voice of OFA

I know - I responded while coughing up some blood

It's sentient being was in fact, the Vestige of stockpile Quirk combined with AFO's immense power. It was set free when the Boogeyman died - with time, it was able to recover a shell of it's old silhouette though keeping that form was very taxing. Because the original Vestige forgot it's old name after being locked up due AFO's Quirk (and it's influence), me and the Vestiges refered to it as One for All/OFA.

What do you propose, OFA? - Yoichi asked

I never told you, Ninth or anyone but I can trace back OFA's bloodline or rather the blood of it's holders. To be more specific, I can sense if a bloodline has died out. For example Nana's bloodline died out when Tomura was killed, I felt a part of OFA fading away. That signed that Shimura family was gone.

We don't have a lot of time, so cut the chase, please - Banjo jumped in

In the meantime, I started crawling towards the exit, leaving behind a wide trail of blood. I felt like my whole body was on fire, my stomach being ignited from pain. A bit of crimson dripped down my chin onto the soothed floor.

So when I discovered it, I began a little investigation of my own. And down the very core of the stockpile, the three parts of OFA are still shining. To be more specific, Banjo's bloodline survived though under a different surname. And out there, the very last Shigaraki is walking the earth. The Shigaraki bloodline somehow managed to survive - and the interesting fact is that the branch doesn't come from AFO's side. It's from Yoichi's side. The third being the Ninth, as the All for One's son.

So you propose we pass onto the Fifth's living descendant? - Hikage asked, while Yoichi was going through existential crisis from the fact that he had a child

Sadly, that I cannot do that. Daigoro's only living descendant is a newborn and that would be a death sentence for the baby. However Firsts descendant is a teenager, and the only option remaining for the transfer. The only other thing I know is that she's a woman. We don't need her to fight, just hold the Quirk for enough time until Ninth recovers from his wounds. When the transfer is completed only half of the Vestiges will remain with you, Ninth. I cannot move past the core so I won't disappear. Once the DNA transfer is done, that's when you'll lose the remaining Vestiges. But the choice is yours.

It's up to you, Ninth - Nana shimmered in with a grim expression

I don't want that for her - Yoichi lamented from his seat

It's a very risky gamble - Second noted bluntly - The girl might be a Villain or a completely unprepared teenager

Especially if you die. The Vestige of yours might take a while to be formed - OFA reminded me

...

Only while I'm healing from my injuries. And under conditions, that she'll want to take it back, I'll get OFA back willingly - I decided firmly -"If she decides to be the Tenth, then fine. I'll train her to be my successor. In case of my death, tell her that if she doesn't want to be OFA's wielder, she can always pass the Quirk to someone else"

The choice was made, by me - I could only hope that the girl had a good heart. I didn't want to expect nothing more.

Alright, everyone in the Void - hold tight and buckle up. I'm starting the transfer - OFA announced in it's usual wispy deneamour

Survive this, kiddo. I don't want for you to join us, the Vestiges any time soon - Banjo said gruffly -„Plus Eight would be devastated"

Good luck, Ninth. You're gonna need it - Nana added

I lost my consciousness when the sirens of the ambulance caught my ear, and multiple people came in running to the ruins of the mansion.

Blackness of the Void flooded the Vestige Realm. OFA reached out and a small golden spark lighted up the darkness - soon it was followed by few others sparks.

Blue - the Second, Kudo

Orange - the Fifth, Banjo

White - the First, Yoichi

Toxic Green - the Forth, Hikage

The sparks left the big golden one and started following the smaller one, already coloured silver. The darkness slowly started retreating from the Void leaving the throne room without few of it's previous members.

The wispy golden mixed with bronze silhouette of OFA stared at the scene with a contrasting feelings. The Vestige had puffy golden hair with messy bangs, bright emerald green eyes and an athletic posture. He was wearing the same clothes when he died - oversized right t - shirt, baggy jeans and worn out black shoes.

It was for the best, OFA reminded himself. The Tenth, although still not a full fledged holder but nonetheless a wielder would need a guidance. OFA as a Quirk was eager to be used, so during the Ninth's recovery, the girl would need to properly manage the Quirk's flow.

Besides, she would get the stronger version of the Ninth's stockpile. Yes, that would certainly require some tutoring and necessary guidance.

OFA continued to watch as the last remaining sparks of the Vestiges left Izuku's mindscape. They followed a small tunnel that OFA opened up - in case of the Ninth's death, other Vestiges would be forced to follow the tunnel and get to the Tenth.

Even though in that case, she would never get the chance to use the stockpile's full potential. It would be forever lost.

The Seventh, The Third, The Sixth and the incomplete Vestige of the Eight remained along with OFA's.

It was a bit saddening to see them go but more important things were at stake.
