Chapter 38 - — Knights of Death

About an hour after Arthur and the emperors little chat. Revan was sitting alone in a room. Her head was pounding, she could feel visions running through her head, mixing with reality. Though she couldn't discern any of them. It felt as if she was being swallowed hole by an abyss of endless knowledge. Infinite opportunity to be understood, yet incomprehensible by her feeble mind. Though she could discern a few things. Like a one armed man fighting an army. Another armored man standing alone in a desert. And a few more things she didn't exactly care about. But once she was taken out of her trance. She found her hand writing a message in pen. It read…

'To the north far across the sea lies the fisher king, where he protects the centerpiece of holiness, waiting in patience for one of his kin. Beneath the graveyard of kings, lies the sleeping servant of the stars. Waiting for his master to reclaim his legacy. And the one that waits above the stars, waiting oh so gracefully for her lover. Are these supposed to be directions? At least they're slightly discernible.'

Revan slouched her head back on the couch and let out a deep breath as she pocketed the paper. Suddenly, the window seemed to glow a bit, as an ethereal white Fox, bathed in the light of the sun, hopped down onto the floor. Transforming into a regal woman with pale skin and white hair.

"We should leave. Now."

Revan sighed and looked at Aria. A bit annoyed.

"What are you saying…? We only got here a few hours ago. If father was planning on leaving, we'd have left already."

"Don't be stubborn. Can't you just trust my judgment?"

Revan stood up and straightened out her dress.

"Alright. So why must we leave? I haven't even been able to talk to Arthur properly yet. He seems to be avoiding me…"

She crossed her arms as Aria stood a few steps forward.

"There's a storm coming."

Revan was going to speak. But paused. The expression on her face slowly turned grim.

"How?"

"I'm not sure. But the storm isn't natural, if it was, it'd simply pass over the land of the sun."

Aria paused.

"There are guests in the castle. We must leave."

Aria grabbed Revan by the wrist and tugged towards the window.

"No! Why is your first instinct to run? If the palace is in danger, than I will help defend it."

As Aria let out a sigh. The wall smashed open, both Arthur and Lancelot were flung out of it. And looked towards the pair.

Lancelot smiled.

"Woah. Who's this beauty?"

Arthur grit his teeth and stood up.

"Focus, Lancelot."

'Damnit. Why now?!'

Arthur screamed at himself in his mind.

An undead behemoth, an amalgamation of bones and skulls trudged through the door. Arthur and Lancelot stood up. While Revan summoned a bow of fire.
