Arthur slammed his head against the floor in an attempt to make him pass out. The only time he was begging for his body to be taken over. He needed that power, in that moment. The flame was slowly dying down. But Arthur's new regenerative ability could do nothing if its user was burned to death. As it was much weaker than that dreadful snakes. Arthur kept bashing his head, the pain was a bit unbearable. Blood flowing from his head as he smashed his own head in.
As Lancelot finished dueling with the skeletal horse. He dashed towards Arthur.
"What the hell are you doing?! Get up, Arthur!"
Arthur had dealt the final pin in the needle. And he had managed to give himself enough concussive force to make him pass out in an instant. Arthur sighed as he felt himself slipping into an endless ocean. But it quickly passed as his eyes opened. A sound started to ring through his head. The irritating sound of an alarm clock.
Cole sat on his bed. Slamming down on the power button on his digital clock and running his hand through his hair. He yawned and scratched his stomach before standing.
'Geez. These dreams are starting to get rough…'
Cole rummaged through his closet for a fresh pair of work clothes and eyed his computer in the computer.
'Yeah, well, I quit for a reason…just couldn't make a living off that damned game anymore. Especially her…'
As Cole got dressed. His thoughts stopped momentarily.
'What was her name again? God, my head hurts, why can't I remember? She pisses me off every damn day…'
He got dressed and head out into the street. Walking to his bus stop. He received a text on his phone. Oddly enough, he didn't recognize the name, or rather, he just couldn't make it out. It was like a blurry line of text running across the screen.
'Am I losing my eyesight or something?'
He looked to the person next to him on the bus stop. And oddly enough. He couldn't make out their face. Like a blurred line was running over it. He knew the old man. He had talked to them several times before work…had he? Arthur held his aching head and stood up. The bus arrived at the stop. But for some reason. He didn't quite feel like going. He just sat there. As the bus left. Everything felt empty.
The streets were quiet. There wasn't a person in sight anymore. Except for one person. There was a man standing in the street. Cloaked fully. With one hand sticking out. He looked at Arthur.
"Is this what the depths of your mind look like? How terribly sad. What world is this? An unfamiliar place, curious. Very, curious. Perhaps it's time I teach you a lesson. Child."
The man summoned a blade in his hands. Cole stood up. As his body started to change. He could feel a familiar pain in his muscles, his whole body, reforming into one he had only known for 2 years. Arthur stood in front of the man. Glimpsing him as a blade pulsing blue light was held in front of him.
"You will inherit the stars one day. Child. So now, you must learn."
