Arthur walked for 20 minutes until he finally met a fork in the maze. His mouth was starting to grow dry. Though he wasn't fatigued in the slightest. He kept his grip tight on the moonlight blade. The absence of the obsidian blade didn't bother him all too much in the end. In fact, he was almost joyous at the fact he had regained the relic. Although the obsidian blade was much stronger, it was also much heavier. And greatly affected his maneuverability. The lighter blade would be better at dispatching a threat quicker.
He looked down both paths. But there was nothing down each of them. He had already tried to pierce the wall of stone. But there was a barrier, that made it simply unbreakable.
'What kind of mage made this thing? Beneath the palace no less. And it seems a little too convenient that the entire floor of the palace just got destroyed.'
He sighed and went down the left path, neither really had any advantage, as least any that was in sight. So he simply picked randomly. Though, he couldn't help but feel unsettled by the sheer scale of the Labyrinth. It simply seemed like an impossibility that monsters had taken hold of it. So what was scarier? The possibility that there could be monsters? Or the fact that there are none. He couldn't decide. But he decided to be wary of the sound of his own footsteps. He carried himself carefully and gracefully across the stone floor of the Labyrinth.
He didn't activate the augmentation. As he would rather not attract anything to his position. If there was anything. If all of his companions fell down here, then it would be a great possibility that his enemies were as well. He had also noticed Thanatos slip out of his shadow while he was in the palace. So there was no hope of relying on him for help if they met a beast the same caliber as the jade serpent. Though he had a few ideas.
'Meeting some enemies wouldn't exactly be bad. If I was able to…steal the ability of that serpent somehow. Than who knows what I might be able to take from other monsters. Though. I have no clue of how to use it. Because this damn system refuses to let me peak inside my status window.'
