Hello reader, I am the author—well, the dao, really.
Thank you for being willing to read my beginner story. As you follow along, I hope to grow as a writer and make things more fun.

Now that we're acquainted, let's introduce the world, our MC, and the basics of the cultivation system.

Meet Zhen Tianxiu. On Earth, he was born with a mental defect that restricted his brainwaves.

{Immortal Realm Basics}
Time for a quick cultivation lesson (and maybe a secret or two… just between us—don't tell the author).
Here's the Immortal Realm. A paradise for cultivation, a haven of ages. Here, one can become immortal, a god, a demon, or even a demon god. The possibilities are endless.
There's no single path in pursuit of the dao.
To progress, one absorbs the energy of nature, stealing it from the heavens—granting mystical abilities.
A tiny spoiler: the Immortal Realm is located in the [locked info] sky.

Ahem… Cultivation is not easy. You must climb the six stages, called the Ascendant Ladder.
Each realm brings real transformation and the right to pursue the dao.
The six stages:
Body Refining Realm → Soul Refining Realm → Foundation Establishment → Core Formation Realm → Nine Gates → Divine Bridge → Ascension Realm → Immortal Lord

{Immortal Realm Lore}
Now that you know the basics, here's a bit of background.
The Immortal Realm is said to have formed at the dawn of the universe—a small floating island that grew to become its own world.
It became a haven for ancient beings fleeing war in the [locked info]. The first nine groups to arrive each claimed a portion of the land and formed clans.
After a war that lasted 500,000 years, nine original clans remained, each establishing their own faction.
The nine clans:
The only two human clans: Tianxiu Clan and Huangtien Clan.
The other seven descend from ancient beasts that also fled to the Immortal Realm:
Clan Heitian (Black Qilin Clan)
Clan Longyan (Dragon Flame Clan)
Clan Xuheng (Void Phoenix Clan)
Clan Shengmu (Life Kirin Clan)
Clan Wuheng (Abyssal Serpent Clan)

Despite the ominous origins, the Immortal Realm is in a golden era that will last six billion years.
Remember: Immortal Lord is the last on the Ascension Ladder.
Realm Hierarchy
What makes this realm special is its division into four higher realms, known as the Dao Passage Realm:

Reaching each stage greatly increases your potential and brings you closer to proving your dao.
As of now, the Immortal Emperor Realm is the highest reached. Later stages haven't been attained in this cycle.
The current ruler is Immortal Emperor Tianjin, lord of the Immortal Court.
