Chapter 1 - Prologue

In the distant past, the city of Ether was a veritable utopia, where residents lived in harmony with one another. Their lives characterized by an abundance of kindness, generosity, and compassion. The inhabitants of this idyllic city were known for their benevolence and the concept of strangers was virtually nonexistent, as everyone felt a deep sense of community and connection with their neighbors. Ether City was aptly referred to as the "City of Peace," a place where tranquility and serenity reigned supreme.

However, this peaceful existence was disrupted by the arrival of a venerable elderly man from the eastern realms—who traveled extensively to reach Ether City with a singular purpose: to manipulate its inhabitants and sow the seeds of discord. His malevolent influence had a profound impact on the city, causing its residents to forget the very essence of peace and kindness that had once defined them. As time passed, the people of Ether City became increasingly individualistic—prioritizing their own survival above all else even if it meant resorting to nefarious means such as robbery and violence against their own neighbors.

The once thriving city underwent a drastic transformation, devolving into a metropolis marked by rampant selfishness, bloodshed, and an utter lack of forgiveness. The inhabitants of Ether City became embroiled in a rigid caste system with their social status determined solely by the color of their eyes. This draconian hierarchy was characterized by a stark disparity between the privileged and the underprivileged.

Individuals with brown eyes were relegated to the lowest rung of society, forced into servitude and treated as inferior beings. Upon reaching the age of 18, they were compelled to serve those in positions of power, a fate that would remain unchanged for the duration of their lives. This oppressive system perpetuated a cycle of subjugation, with those born with brown eyes destined to live in perpetual bondage.

In stark contrast, individuals blessed with blue eyes were afforded a life of luxury and privilege. They had unfettered access to education, allowing them to pursue their passions and interests without restriction. They were also permitted to marry multiple times, accumulating wealth and material possessions with ease. However, not all blue-eyed individuals succumbed to the corrupting influence of their power, with some opting to defy the status quo and forge their own paths.

Those born with purple eyes were regarded as exceptional beings, endowed with extraordinary talents and abilities. Many believed that individuals with purple eyes possessed the unique capacity to break the curse that had befallen Ether City, rendering them the object of envy and scrutiny.

Individuals with green eyes, on the other hand, were exceedingly rare, with only a 3% chance of being born with this distinctive trait. Despite their scarcity, green-eyed individuals were not afforded any specific privileges or status, their existence merely a curiosity in the eyes of the city's inhabitants.

However, there existed a fourth and far more ominous eye color, one that inspired dread and terror in the hearts of Ether City's residents: the color red. It was whispered that making direct eye contact with an individual possessing red eyes would result in certain death, a fate worse than any other. This aura of fear surrounding red-eyed individuals only served to further exacerbate the city's atmosphere of mistrust and hostility.

The downfall of Ether City was attributed to the white old man's malevolent influence, which had brought about a curse upon the city. According to legend, this curse would be passed down through six generations of the old man's lineage, culminating in the birth of a child who would unleash unspeakable destruction upon the city, annihilating its inhabitants and reducing its structures to rubble.

As the sixth generation of the white old man's lineage approached, the people of Ether City became increasingly convinced that the cursed child had already been born. Fueled by fear and desperation, they embarked on a perilous quest to identify and eliminate the red-eyed individual, driven by the hope of averting the impending catastrophe that threatened to destroy their city. In this treacherous world, survival depended on one's ability to navigate the complex web of alliances, rivalries, and ancient prophecies that governed the lives of Ether City's inhabitants.
