Synopsis
In a gleaming city of chrome towers and synthetic smiles, where corporations script the news and "heroes" are manufactured in labs, one man emerges from the shadows—not to be celebrated, but to be feared. Vanta was never meant to survive. A discarded experiment from the Syndicate’s secret program, he was designed to be a weapon, erased before he ever lived. But when the streets whisper of missing children, black-market augmentations, and a system that protects only the powerful, Vanta answers the call no real hero dares to hear. Hunted by the media, marked as a terrorist, and haunted by a past he can’t remember, Vanta wages a silent war in the underworld of Sector 9. His only allies: the darkness itself—and the growing unrest in the people below the neon sky. But as he tears at the edges of a broken society, he begins to uncover a chilling truth: the fake heroes aren’t the worst of it. There are others—forgotten experiments, quiet rebels, corrupted icons—scattered across the world, each with powers forged in secrecy and stories buried deep. Vanta's fight is just the beginning. Because this is not a tale of one savior. This is the rise of many. And the birth of a new kind of universe.

Chapter 1 - Prologue: The Rise and Fall of True Heroes

More than a hundred years ago, the world was still a place where ordinary people lived freely—happy, unmanipulated, and hopeful. But everything began to change the day a mysterious alien spaceship crash-landed on Earth, carrying with it remnants of a long-extinct civilization and technology unlike anything humanity had ever seen.

At first, humanity rejoiced. The long-sought proof of alien life had finally arrived. The U.S. government swiftly took control of the wreckage and moved it to the most secure facility in the country. Top scientists from around the globe were summoned to investigate its secrets.

For ten long years, they studied the alien materials, especially a strange glowing vial later identified as a type of alien medicine. When they finally cracked its formula, celebrations erupted within the facility. But fate had other plans. A lab mouse accidentally shattered the vial, releasing its contents into the air.

At first, panic. Then… a miracle.

Over the following weeks, pollution levels across the planet mysteriously dropped. Air became pure. Illnesses diminished. The Earth, once suffocating under human damage, began to heal. The scientists traced this sudden environmental shift to the dispersed alien medicine—eventually naming it Syndicate.

But the true consequences of Syndicate would not be environmental—they would be human.

Soon, people began to manifest powers. Superhuman abilities, once the stuff of comic books, became real. These individuals were hailed as heroes. Some used their powers to protect others, becoming symbols of hope and justice. Others turned to crime or self-interest, and the heroes rose to stop them. The world watched in awe as a new era of superpowered individuals reshaped society.

Yet with popularity came danger.

Governments grew uneasy. These new heroes were loved by the people—too loved. A single word from a beloved hero could sway elections or topple regimes. Fearing their influence, world powers began investigating the source of these abilities. Their search led them back to Syndicate.

One government abducted a young hero who had recently developed her powers, using her as a test subject. After a year of brutal experimentation, they synthesized an artificial version of Syndicate—one that could grant powers on command.

They went public with it.

Power-hungry politicians and corporate elites lined up to buy doses. Artificial heroes were born—controlled, branded, and broadcasted. Governments purchased the media and reshaped the narrative. Their heroes were promoted and worshipped, even if they never lifted a finger to help anyone. True heroes—those who had once saved lives—were smeared, mocked, and forced into retirement.

Some still tried. They braved the hate and manipulation, clinging to their purpose. But all they received was scorn. The media twisted their every act, and eventually, the people turned against them too.

The age of real heroes ended.

In their place rose puppets—artificial champions who followed orders, sold products, and smiled for cameras. Anyone who opposed the government or exposed the truth was labeled a traitor and imprisoned. Families of dissenters were targeted, silenced, or destroyed. Over time, no one dared rise.

And yet… in the quiet corners of the world, in the hearts of ordinary people… a spark still burns.

A whisper remains:

What if someone stood up again? What if a true hero returned—not for glory, but to save?
