Anna's P.O.V ✓
A loud bang woke me up, and I stirred from my sleep.
What the heck was that noise?
Still in my nightshirt, I walked downstairs, seeing everywhere dark, and pondered, "What's going on?"
I located the switch and turned on the light.
Then, I was met with a surprise: "Happy birthday!!!!!!!!" Everyone was gathered there - my mom, Max and Mac, Ms. Helen, and Ms. Evelyn.
"Happy birthday, my dearie Anna," my mom hugged me.
"Thank you, Mum," I whispered, hugging her back.
They began to sing a birthday song, and I couldn't help but feel a mix of emotions: happiness, surprise, and a bit of embarrassment.
A party was thrown, and I was filled with joy and happiness.
I spoke with Linda and Grandma Lily, who greeted me over the phone.
My mom introduced me to her twin sister, Aunt Vera, and her daughter, Ria, who is my cousin.
The difference between Auntie Vera and my mom was striking - my mom had black hair, while Auntie Vera's hair was brown.
This was a great surprise because I never knew my mom had a sister or that I had a cousin.
I talked with Ria, and we all had a merry time.
They gave me gifts, and even hard-faced Max gave me a gift. His gift was the biggest, and I wondered what could be inside.
The party ended, and everyone left. My mom asked me a strange question earlier: "Did you notice anything strange about yourself?" I thought it was weird, but my answer was a simple "no."
I went into my room and looked at the gifts on my bed.
I unwrapped them, and my eyes widened in surprise.
Ria gave me a beautiful hair slide, Auntie Vera gave me a mirror, Ms. Evelyn gave me a necklace, Ms. Helen gave me a bracelet, Mac gave me a chain with a crescent pendant, and Max gave me a painting of myself with a frame around it.
"Wow," I mouthed, "it's beautiful." I admired the painting, and I couldn't believe that hard-faced Max would give me such a precious gift.
I smiled, looked into the mirror, and suddenly, my hair and eyes turned gold. I gasped, "What's going on?" "Am I hallucinating?" My hair shone brightly, and I moved back in fear.
"What's happening to me?" I thought, "I have to tell Mom." I wore a hood and went to my mom's room.
"Mom," I called as I entered.
"Annie!!" she exclaimed, standing up from the couch.
"Are you okay, honey?" she asked, holding my hands.
"No, Mom," I stuttered, removing the hood. "Something is happening to me. My hair and eyes changed to this." I said, "What's happening, Mom? I'm scared."
My mom whispered, "Alexander, Adriana, it's time."
"Mum," I called, feeling a bit confused.
"You don't have to be afraid," she told me, sitting down on the couch.
"Have a seat," she ordered, and I sat down.
"Mum, is there something you're hiding? Am I sick? Because I f****** don't understand what's going on with me," I half-yelled, my emotions filled with confusion and fear.
My mom heaved a sigh. "Annabelle," she called my name fully for the first time.
I stared at her, and she took a box beside her. She opened it, revealing a gold locket, and held up the chain.
"What's this?" I asked her.
"Take," she commanded, giving me the locket. My gold eyes and hair turned to black instantly as my hand touched the locket.
My eyes widened, and I looked at my mom. "M-m-m-mum," I stammered.
"It's alright, Annie," she said.
"Mum, can you tell me what's going on?" I cried.
"Do you trust me, Annie?" she asked.
"Of course, Mum, I trust you," I answered.
"Okay," she said. "Do you believe witches, demons, werewolves, and the likes existed?"
"Mum, they're all folklores," I replied. "Who still follows traditional beliefs?"
"What's happening, Mom?" I cried in frustration, and she held my hand.
"Ann, I'm a witch," she blurted.
I stared into her eyes for some seconds before bursting into laughter.
"This is hilarious," I said. "Anyone can say that mum"
"No......" She whispered
"Those folklores are true , Annie they are real." My mum said
"I'm a witch, your Aunt Vera, Ria, Ms Helen and Ms Evelyn are witches while Mac and Max are werewolves." My mum explained.
"Mum, you don't have to say all this to make me feel better, I know that I am just imagining things" I told her Mum,
"No you are not imagining, its real, I can see it" my mum said and I stared at her
"mum" I muttered
"listen up Anna " she held my hands
" I am not your mother" she blurt
" what are you saying" I asked, holding her hand.
" I am not your mother Anna, you parent are dead , I am just your mum best friend " she said and I froze...
