Chapter 9 - CHAPTER EIGHT

Jayden's P.O.V✓✓

I'm Jayden Luther, a werewolf, and I attend Chrisvilland High School with my brother, Bryan Luther. Let's skip the introduction. I've been absent from school due to some pack duties with Bryan and our father.

As I strolled to school, I took in the sights. The students were on their way home as I walked to the parking lot. That's when I saw her - a girl with long black hair and gold strands, waiting for her ride. She glanced at her phone every few seconds.

I walked towards her with my hands in my pocket. "Hey," I said, and she turned, her sparkling black iris locking onto mine. A glint of surprise etched on her beautiful face.

A good catch for my brother, I thought, smiling. "You are waiting for your ride?" I asked.

"…yea…yeah," she stuttered.

"You shouldn't stay under the sun; you might get a sunburn," I told her.

"Oh yeah… that's true…" she replied.

She's a new student and a human - a beautiful human…

A Lamborghini stopped behind her, and she turned. Her innocent, surprised expression turned into an angry one. Whoa, she's fierce!

"Your ride," I said behind her.

The door opened, and two identical guys came out. They were twin werewolves, and their aura could rival Bryan's. They were Alphas, strong ones.

What's the relationship between this human girl and these werewolves? Is she their little sister?

"Like seriously!" She sneered, her voice fierce and laced with anger.

She clenched her fists and closed her eyes, trying to calm herself.

"We are really sorry," one of the twins with a friendly demeanor spoke, while the other stared at me like he wanted to devour me.

God, I didn't mess with your little sis, why the death stare?

"We will surely make up for our mistakes," the friendly twin spoke again.

"I just want to go home," the girl said, entering the car. She sounded exhausted.

The other twin finally tore his gaze away from me and looked at his brother. "Let's go," he said, entering the car. The other twin followed, and they drove off.

I stood there, my mind reeling about that stare. Swear, for real, I got a creep. Goodness, what was that?

Anna's P.O.V✓✓

The car was silent till we got home. I was thinking about earlier; I don't get angry easily. What was that?

I could feel the anger surging through my veins; that was weird.

I got down from the car and was about to enter the house when I heard Mac's voice. "Anna, are you okay?" he asked, and I turned to him with a smile.

"I am definitely okay, that was just a mood swing earlier," I said, and he nodded.

"You don't need to pretend. Just come to the training room and pour out your anger on us," Max spoke up, giving a smirk.

I rolled my eyes and went inside.

"Welcome, princess," Ms. Evelyn bowed.

"How are you, Ms. Evelyn?" I asked as I walked up the stairs.

"I'm fine. I hope your first day at school isn't stressful at all," she replied.

"Yeah, it's not," I said, irony lacing my voice. Those stares stressed the hell out of me.

I entered my room and flopped on my bed. "I need a nap," I whispered, closing my eyes slowly.

Unknown place ★

An old woman sat in a meditating pose, crossing her legs inward with her eyes closed. A lady with red hair stood in front of her - none other than Kai.

The old woman muttered some incoherent words as dark energy circulated around her. Suddenly, her eyes snapped open, and she panted heavily.

"Agnes," Kai squatted beside her.

"She's alive, but there is a force protecting her," Agnes said.

"Alexander's daughter is alive," Kai smiled, standing up.

"No one must know about this, Agnes," Kai warned and disappeared.

Agnes breathed a sigh of relief; she almost died confirming if Alexander's daughter was alive. The force was powerful.

"The Werewolf empire will rise soon," she said, laughing hysterically.
