Chapter 1 - Eclipse Domain...

Percy gave a soft sigh as he raised his metallic sword, his steps were light but heavy as he dashed toward one of the thousands of abominations roaming the Forgotten Shore.

His sword followed through as it broke through the chinks of the Scavengers armour before burrowing itself deep into its flesh. The creature let out a horrific roar as his body twisted and turned.

Percy clicked his tongue with a bit of hesitation, if the creature continued roaring, it might attract the more fearsome creatures laying in the Godforsaken Shore.

With that in mind he removed one of his hands from his hilt and started channeling essence to it. Within a split second a small tenebrous sphere appeared in his hand.

"Room" Percy whispered to himself.

Before anyone could process anything a black shadowy domain extended throughout the corridor he was in and continued to expand outward until it consumed the expanse he was in.

Moments passed without any sound emanating from the room. The little light that the outskirts harboured seemed to skirt around the domain.

After a moment the domain ceased to exist as Percy banged the creature's head on the ground and removed his sword from his head.

[Prey Slaughtered….. You have slain the Awakened Beast, Carapace Scavenger.]

[You have received 2 Shadow Fragments]

The Spell resounded in his mind continuously as Percy licked his dry and crusted lips.

'I'm so close…. I can see it.' He whispered with a hint of madness in his voice.

He looked at the fallen beast before summoning his runes.

Percy looked at his runes as an awkward smile settled on his face.

While his First Nightmare was hellish, he had been able to reap astounding benefits, given the chance he would do it again.

In this world, money, influence, and people didn't matter. The only thing that was absolute was personal strength, as long as you were strong no one would be able to control you.

If you didn't have enough strength, you would be hapless against the strong, forever being their marionettes. So given the chance, he'd do it again.

His First Nightmare was not what people would call good. But in the end, he survived….. That had to be worth something.

He went through that hell only to arrive in another one.

But he was the heir of death, the monarch of shadows, and the Forgotten Shore would not break him.

He wondered if others had been sent to these Shores other than him and Caster. There were a few people who were interesting to say the least.

Percy looked at his body which bore a few grievous wounds here and there. "I might never get used to this flaw." He muttered between moments and quickly placed pieces of the slain creature into a cotton bag and made his way back to the outskirts.

"Live by the outskirts, die by the outskirts." He said with an uncomfortable chuckle.

"..."

Percy arrived in front of a rugged and unstable shack and entered inside. It was quite modest with a single bed and a small hearth in the middle.

He took the pure white bag from his shoulder and placed it on the ground.

"Dinners here little Elephant." Percy said with a cheer in his voice as a mature voice permated through the room.

"I am starving! I swear if you haven't brought enough food I might actually put eyeliner on your face, broody pants."

Saying that, a figure stepped into the light. She had chestnut hair which fell to her shoulders and a jovial smile plastered on her face.

She was quite plump, her muscles were still defined though it hid beneath a few pieces of fat.

"You have to go out once in a while, just because I'm here doesn't mean you can lazy around." Percy chided with a smile as he streched on the bed.

"Why do you care what I do?" She asked with a smirk while she roasted the food over the hearth.

"Well first of all, you have an amazing figure and I don't want that to go to waste. You understand, right Effie?" He said as he turned to face her.
