Chapter 1 - 1. Invitation

The day the forgotten god returned, the heavens remained silent.

No prophecy was announced. No ancient bell rang. No divine army descended.

Instead, somewhere among mortals, inside a company known as Lan.Corp, another ordinary day began.

The employees moved through the building with their usual urgency. Researchers examined formulas, engineers worked on advanced prototypes, and scientists discussed countless projects hidden behind layers of security.

To them, it was only another day of work.

They did not know that the man who owned this company was not merely a businessman.

He was something far older.

"Where is he?"

A woman's voice interrupted the receptionist's work.

The woman standing before the desk appeared to be in her twenties. Her emerald-blue eyes carried an unusual depth, as if countless years of memories were hidden within them.

The receptionist, a young woman with red hair, quickly stood up.

"Mrs. Nina, I don't know where the CEO is."

"Nina will do."

Nina sighed softly.

Jennifer, the receptionist and also the personal secretary of the CEO, lowered her head.

"Sorry, Nina."

Nina looked around the office once more. The longer she waited, the more impatient she became.

Finally, she turned around and walked away.

She entered her private office, closed the door, and immediately took out her phone.

The call connected after a few seconds.

A calm male voice with a British accent answered.

"Love, sorry for disturbing you, but you called for a meeting?"

Nina froze.

"A meeting?"

The man's silence confirmed something.

Curiosity filled her expression.

Without another word, Nina walked into the washroom and locked the door.

She closed her eyes.

For a moment, the atmosphere changed.

When her eyes opened again, they were no longer ordinary.

They burned with a beautiful blue-green light.

A powerful blue aura surrounded her body, causing the air around her to tremble.

"Gathom."

[Skill: Gathom]

[Type: Teleportation]

[Ability: Allows the user to instantly teleport to any location they imagine.]

The next moment, Nina disappeared.

Far away from Lan.Corp, beyond the boundaries of the mortal world, a man stood alone.

His right arm was covered by a dark metallic gauntlet covered in ancient symbols.

This was not ordinary armor.

It was the divine weapon known as Infinite Stratos.

[Weapon: Infinite Stratos]

[Type: Defense and Offense]

[Ability: Protects the user and prevents them from releasing their complete destructive force.]

The man stared into the distance calmly.

Until a familiar presence appeared.

He turned.

Nina stood before him.

For a moment, the powerful being known as Lancester said nothing.

His expression softened.

The woman he loved walked forward and kissed his cheek.

She stepped back.

"Can I come?"

Lancester immediately understood what she meant.

"Nina, you need to take care of the company—"

He stopped.

The moment he saw her expression, he knew he had made a mistake.

Her eyes narrowed.

"You want me to run the company while you enjoy yourself?"

She crossed her arms.

"Never in a trillion years."

Lancester sighed.

There was no winning against her.

"Fine. You can come."

He smiled.

"After all, you are Mrs. Lancester."

Inside his room, his wardrobe opened.

With a snap of his fingers, a set of armor appeared.

The armor was made from Celestial Tears, a material said to exist beyond the limits of creation itself.

A silver chest plate formed around him.

He opened his left hand.

A lightning staff appeared.

The weapon released small sparks of divine energy.

Lancester looked at his reflection.

For a moment, he simply stared.

"You are handsome."

Nina's voice came from behind him.

He turned.

And even after countless years, he was still surprised.

Nina wore a blue and white trumpet dress that perfectly matched her glowing emerald-blue eyes.

Her beauty was not ordinary.

Even compared to his elder sister, Demitress, the Goddess of Beauty and Love, Nina possessed a presence that was uniquely her own.

"Let's get going."

Lancester tried hiding his emotions.

Nina noticed.

She placed her hands on her hips and looked disappointed.

He walked toward her.

"Beautiful goddess of speed and time..."

He stretched out his hand.

"Let's go."

A smile appeared on Nina's face.

She took his hand tightly.

Lancester raised his staff toward the empty space ahead.

Blue essence gathered at its tip.

The surrounding air distorted.

A portal appeared.

Its edges were blue, while its center shone pure white.

Without hesitation, the two stepped through.

On the other side was a world unlike the mortal realm.

Ancient trees stretched toward the sky.

Flowers of countless colors covered the land.

The energy flowing through the atmosphere was so dense that even breathing felt different.

At the center of this divine land stood a gigantic castle.

It was surrounded by a powerful energy barrier.

A place where only gods could enter.

A place where forgotten memories waited.

A place where the past would finally return.

And standing before it was the man who had disappeared for decades.

The God of Lightning and Calamities.

Nike.

The forgotten twin of the heavens.

Lancester had returned.
