Chapter 12: Acceptance

"No... I will be the one to go see Mito-sama," said Hiruzen as he stood up from his seat, determined to meet Uzumaki Mito in person.

Jiraiya and Orochimaru followed his sensei to meet Mito sama, while Danzo decided not to meet her otherwise using Nine Tails she might noticed something is wrong with him.

Meanwhile, inside the Senju Residence...

Poof!

After the smoke cleared, Uzumaki Raiken appeared alongside Uzumaki Kenshiro and Uzumaki Hiroki.

"Hello, Mito-sama," greeted Raiken politely.

Kenshiro and Hiroki also greeted her respectfully.

Mito eyes turned moist upon seeing undeniable proof that some members of her clan had managed to survive. She quickly wiped her tears and asked the most pressing question on her mind.

"Are you the new Uzukage?" asked Mito.

"Yes, Mito-sama," replied Raiken, before pointing to the two men beside him. "This is Kenshiro, and this is Hiroki."

Mito gave them a slow nod.

"Come inside my house first. I have many questions to ask you," said Mito to Raiken and his group.

"Okay," Raiken replied, then turned to Kenshiro and Hiroki, signaling them to follow him inside.

She then looked at her granddaughter, "Stay here for a while, I wanted to talk something regarding Uzumaki Clan."

Tsunade nodded, knowing her grandmother wanted to be alone with her clan.

Once they entered, Mito offered them seats around a low table. She then served them tea and a few traditional snacks.

"Tell me, how many people survived?" asked Mito after everyone had taken their seats and begun to eat.

"The number of survivors is 563. Out of that, three-sixths are children, two-sixths are adult women, and the remaining one-sixth are adult men," Raiken replied. "More than 80% of our people died. We are the last survivors."

"How did you guys manage to escape from Uzushiogakure?" Mito asked, leaning forward slightly.

Raiken paused for a moment before replying, remembering that Jiraiya already knew how they escaped using the reverse summoning contract.

"When we were surrounded, Kenshiro here used the Reverse Summoning Jutsu," answered Raiken.

"Reverse Summoning Jutsu?" Mito muttered in surprise. "Brilliant... I didn't know that technique could save you all at the last minute."

A brief silence settled over the room.

"Mito-sama, actually, we came here because we need to speak with you about our suspicions toward Konoha," said Raiken suddenly, breaking the silence.

Mito tensed, then slowly nodded.

"During our last internal meeting, we discovered some inconsistencies regarding Konoha. We actually sent two groups requesting reinforcements. The first was dispatched when we detected enemy forces about 100 kilometers from Uzushiogakure. The second was sent when the enemies reached the coastline. We managed to defend our country for an entire day before the barrier broke," Raiken explained.

Mito breathed heavily, digesting the weight of the information she just received.

"Now, let's consider the logic about Konoha. We, a tiny island nation, detected enemies approaching from 100 kilometers away. But Konoha—with its vast land, extensive network, and fertile territory—claims they didn't notice a coordinated attack on their ally?" Raiken continued.

The room fell silent again.

"Mito-sama," Raiken said, his voice firm, "please look into the Hokage or someone close to him. If the Hokage himself wasn't directly responsible, someone within his circle may have had a hand in the destruction of Uzushiogakure."

Mito let out a heavy sigh and nodded. "I understand. I will look into it."

"I'm glad. Before we leave Konoha, I'd like to meet my sister, Kushina," said Raiken.

"Where will you live now?" asked Mito.

"The frogs have allowed us to temporarily stay in their dimension," Raiken answered.

Hiroki and Kenshiro tensed up, they didn't know that the frog had left them stay there but remembering this might be a way for Konoha to accept their condition to become part of Konoha villagers, so they stay silent.

"How about living here in Konoha?" Mito offered.

Raiken glanced at his two closest confidants. They returned his gaze before nodding in agreement.

"It would be dangerous for us, unless you can guarantee a few things," Raiken stated.

"What kind of guarantee do you need?" Mito asked, intrigued.

"There are three things we wish to ask of you," said Raiken. But before he could explain further, a knock at the door interrupted the conversation, announcing the arrival of the Hokage.

"It looks like someone is here," Raiken said calmly. "If you agree to our terms, we will share the conditions under which we're willing to settle here. I hope you can help persuade the Hokage to accept them."

Mito nodded firmly. "Okay. For the sake of my clan and as long as it doesn't endanger the village—I will agree."

---3 Conditions---

"Mito-sama," greeted the Hiruzen the Hokage.

"Come inside, Hiruzen," said Mito.

Hiruzen entered the Senju Residence accompanied by Jiraiya, Orochimaru, and Tsunade, who had been waiting outside. Upon learning that he was visiting her grandmother, Tsunade decided to come inside as well.

Hiruzen was visibly surprised to see three red-haired individuals already inside the Senju Residence. At a glance, he could tell they were survivors of the Uzumaki Clan. He feel a bit happy seeing them alive.

"This is the Uzukage from the Uzumaki Clan," Mito introduced Raiken to Hiruzen. Then she looked at Raiken and gestured toward Hiruzen. "Uzukage, this is Hiruzen Sarutobi, the Hokage of Konohagakure. The other two here are Orochimaru and Jiraiya, his disciples."

Hiruzen, upon hearing this, immediately apologized and spoke with a remorseful tone.

"I am truly sorry. Our reinforcements arrived too late. By the time we got there, the war was already over," Hiruzen said apologetically.

"It's all right, Hokage. Our people are still alive," said Raiken calmly. "The purpose of our visit is to inform Mito-sama about the current condition of the Uzumaki survivors."

"I've already heard from Jiraiya about your escape from Uzushiogakure," said Hiruzen. "As the Hokage of Konoha, I would like to formally offer your people a place to stay here."

Mito eyes widened slightly, she had just made the same offer to Raiken earlier.

Raiken and his group maintained a calm, unreadable expression. Then Raiken replied,

"The Toad has granted us permanent land in Mount Myoboku. The place is quiet, safe, and well-suited for us. It's currently the best option for our people," he said.

Hiruzen was taken aback by the response.

"Konoha and Uzushiogakure have long been allies. As Hokage, I still wish to extend the invitation for the Uzumaki Clan to reside in Konoha," said Hiruzen earnestly.

Raiken looked slightly hesitant before responding.

"We are willing to become citizens of Konoha, but only under three conditions. If Konoha cannot agree to these, then we will remain in Mount Myoboku," Raiken stated firmly.

Hearing this, Hiruzen paused for a moment, clearly deep in thought. Then he asked,

"What are the three conditions?"

He knew well that the Uzumaki Clan excelled in fuinjutsu—sealing techniques. Having them as allies would greatly enhance Konoha strategic and combat capabilities. He needed them as a Konoha Shinobi.
