Chapter 15: Visit

---The New Living Places---

After the founding of Konoha, many people chose the village as their new home, most of them were civilians. Meanwhile, various clans were invited by Konoha to become part of the village.

Since the Senju Clan was the one that initiated almost everything from forming the village, inviting others, and constructing its systems, there was a clear power imbalance between the Senju and the Uchiha Clans. The civilians and several other clans naturally chose to support the Senju over the Uchiha.

To ease the growing tension, Hashirama proposed that members of the Senju Clan abandon their family names and integrate as ordinary civilians. Even Tobirama, who was typically cautious and prone to arguing with Hashirama, did not object—showing how serious the situation was. Hashirama's suggestion proved effective, once the Senju blended in with the civilian population, the hostility between the Senju and Uchiha decreased noticeably.

To understand how dire things were at the time, consider this: Tobirama agreeing without protest was extremely rare. Normally, even in front of Hashirama, he would argue until the end. But when Hashirama suggested dropping the clan name, Tobirama didn't even voice a single objection.

The physical proof of that tense period still exists today. There's an empty plot of land beside the Senju compound that no one has claimed. Originally, Madara acquired that plot of land, located near the newly constructed Senju compound—in the hopes of bringing both clans closer. However, due to lingering distrust and renewed conflict at the time, the Uchiha chose not to build a new house there. The land, roughly twice the size of a football field, was left untouched.

Even decades later, the land remains vacant. And since it technically belongs to the Uchiha Clan, Hiruzen never brought it up in his meeting.

Now, the newly arrived Uzumaki Clan has chosen to stay at the Senju Residence. Only a few individuals, fewer than ten people still carry the Senju name, they are the elders of the clan and the rest have fully integrated into civilian life.

Though it's a bit crowded at the moment, it's only temporary. To manage the overflow, Raiken even set up a tent outside the main house to provide additional space for his people.

He learned about the empty plot beside the Senju Residence while planning to construct a new home for the Uzumaki Clan.

---Meeting---

"That land belongs to the Uchiha Clan," said Senju Naraki, one of the elders.

"I'd like to build a new house on that plot," Raiken said, voicing his wish. "It's an empty space right in the center of Konoha."

Naraki paused for a moment in thought before offering a suggestion. "You could try speaking with the Uchiha. If possible, purchase that land from them. Even though the Senju and Uchiha have a long history of conflict, things are different when it comes to the Uzumaki Clan."

"You're right," Raiken agreed with a nod.

"But I doubt it'll be easy," Naraki added with a concerned tone. "The Uchiha have never sold any part of their land—not to merchants, not even to the Hokage."

[Rebel Rob donated 1,000 stars for the Uzumaki to acquire that land.]

[Miguel Razo donated 1,000 stars and suggested the Uzumaki Clan steal the land instead.]

Seeing the flood of comments and donations made Raiken smirk. His tactic was working—by setting a high donation threshold, wealthy viewers didn't hesitate to spend large sums just to have their messages read in real-time.

"Thank you, Naraki-sama," said Raiken politely. "I'll discuss this with the rest of the clan first."

"It's fine," Naraki replied with a smile.

Fifteen minutes later, Raiken had gathered the newly appointed council of elders inside Uzumaki Clan—ten in total.

"Our migration to Konoha has been successful," Raiken began, "but there's something important we need to address."

"What is it, Clan Leader?" one elder asked.

"How many widows and marriageable women do we currently have?" Raiken asked.

"Approximately 113 widows," Arata replied. "And about 75 women of marriageable age who haven't been married yet."

"And how many unmarried men above 18?" Raiken continued.

"Forty-seven," Arata answered.

"Do we know if they already have partners?"

"I'm not sure," Arata admitted.

Raiken looked around at the other elders. "As I mentioned before, I plan to propose an alliance with the Uchiha Clan—by arranging marriages between our clans. Does anyone oppose this?"

No one raised a hand. They had already discussed this plan back in Mount Myoboku, and after weighing the pros and cons, the elders accepted it again without protest.

Meanwhile, the livestream exploded with reactions.

[Viewer Matt clapped enthusiastically and donated 1,000 stars.]

[Eugene, shocked, claimed to have farted loudly before donating 1,000 stars.]

[Jay Vincence subscribed immediately, praising Raiken for "daring to disrupt the plotline."]

---Visit to the Uchiha Clan---

That evening, Raiken, along with Arata, Hiroki, and Kenshiro, visited the Uchiha compound.

Their arrival stirred up a buzz. The Uchiha elders quickly gathered to meet with the Uzumaki delegation—seven elders and their clan leader among them.

The Uchiha Clan Leader, Uchiha Hikaku, was a and old man from the Warring States era—one of the rare few still alive from that time. He was the grandfather of Uchiha Mikoto and had raised her after the tragic death of her parents one year ago on a mission with Uchiha Kagami. Their bodies were never recovered, and Danzo claimed the enemy had stolen them.

The losses had weighed heavily on Hikaku, but he had remained strong for his granddaughter, who had just turned fifteen last year.

Now, facing Raiken and his companions, Hikaku looked at them with curiosity.

"Greetings, Clan Leader Uchiha Hikaku," Raiken said respectfully. "I'm Raiken, the new leader of the Uzumaki Clan. We've come to speak with the Uchiha Clan."

The Uchiha elders remained quiet, letting their leader respond.

"Before we begin, Raiken—how old are you?" Hikaku asked, studying him.

"I'm sixteen," Raiken answered honestly.

"Oh, so young... and already a clan leader," Hikaku said with genuine surprise. "My granddaughter is the same age."

"Thank you," Raiken replied with a polite smile. "To be honest, I didn't seek this position. I was... kindly forced into it by our previous Uzukage."

"Forced?" murmured a few of the Uchiha elders, intrigued.

"Hiroki, would you explain?" Raiken asked.

"Certainly." Hiroki stepped forward and briefly recounted what Raiken had done to protect and lead the Uzumaki people to safety.

The room fell silent. The expressions of the Uchiha elders shifted to ones of respect.

"So you're the reason your clan survived?" Hikaku asked.

Raiken didn't answer directly. Instead, he offered a humble nod and changed the subject.

"Actually, the reason we came... is to ask for your help," Raiken said.

The room tensed. Help? The Uzumaki had the support of the Senju and the Hokage—what could they possibly need from the Uchiha?
