And when death finds me,
it will find nothing to take
only a body that
once pretended to live.
My soul will have rotted long before
eaten away by my own despair.
My heart will not beat in fear,
for it has been weary for so long
that even death will pity it
and in that final moment,
there will be no cry,
only the cruel truth that
I had already been dead
while life still demanded I breathe

Second person/
I wanted to change the world too, I wanted my name to be known enough that I'd be taught in schools. I feared, and still do, of my name being forgotten. I might not be able to change the life of generations to come, but I decided to help the people around me as much as I can. I offer my money to beggars and the homeless, I try to make children on the bus laugh, I give up my seat whenever I can, I give compliments to strangers and I try to cheer up people who have lost the light. In the end it's all worthwhile. I may not invent time travel, but I have had close friends tell me they don't know where they'd be if I wasn't there for them, or if they'd even be alive. So for all that matters, I have changed the world, I have saved people, even if it's just one.
I was a Hero, even though it was only me who knew that.
