Gigi's POV [5:35PM (Right when Nami got away)]
I watched as Nami turned a corner and disappeared. I quickly ducked the robot's sword and focused back on my opponents. You would think that for being robots with mechanical limbs, they would be slow, but it was quite the opposite. The robot swung with full velocity, similar to a beginner, however they swung with precision, precision that would cut a girl cleanly in half. I couldn't let them touch me while at the same time fighting it.
I also had to keep an eye out for the man and keep him from escaping. I I blocked another swing and chased the man as he tried to get away. The robot gave chase to me and the man turned and tried to shoot me but I blocked and continued my pursuit.
My sword, Kingslayer is special. Yes, it's a legendary sword but also, it has a combat AI, or a genius tactician ghost, inside of it and since the moment I pulled it out of the stone in the Sky Castle courtyard, its been helping me subtly, giving me warning when I don't catch something with my haki. It also helps me in these scenarios too. Its part of the reason I'm so good at my job as a bounty hunter. Me and the AI/combat ghost have gotten close, it happens after several years of working together and battles. I've come to name it Artigo.
Artigo gives me a mental map of the streets for me to use in this scenario so I quickly determine a dead end that I can corner him while also keeping the robot busy for a short enough time for me to capture him. I chase him down the path Artigo suggests and the man doesn't realize because it seems like a pursuit but soon we reach the dead end and I can see his panic. I go faster and before he can react, I'm behind him, sword at his throat. The robot finally breaks through the wall and arrives from the little detour I put it through. It seems its master at sword point and pauses, waiting for orders.
"What do you want from Nami?" I ask the man. "I'll die before I tell you!" he growls back. I hold him tighter, making it so he can feel my cold sword. "That would work if I was a superhero. Unfortunately, I'm just a killer who gets paid so start talking. I have zero problem killing you." I tell him coldly. He tenses, sensing how serious I am but doesn't change, "Like hell I will. I'm one too. If you kill me, Iron Man will finish the job. I'm the only thing holding it from killing you." he says. Shit, he is right about that. "Here's the deal," he says, "You let me go, i'll have Iron Man back off." He says. "Your in no position to negotiate." I tell him, "But you know its the only way out without getting hurt." he says, smug and confident.
"Artigo, what do i do?" I ask it, "In your position, the best I could say is tell him to have it back off, let him go and then make a run for it. He's not gonna keep his word most certainly." Artigo tells me. I nod mentally, "Tell it to back off." I tell the man, loosening my hold. "Iron Man, don't attack." He tells it. He looks at me and I let him go, he quickly goes back to it.
Once a safe distance, the man pulls out his pistol and smirks. I raise my sword, "You think I would let you get away after that?" He asks, pointing his gun at me. "No, not really." I answer. He smirks, "Smart girl" he says. I charge toward him, he opens fire, shooting, I dodge and weave through his bullets. The Iron Man advances and cuts me off from reaching him, i block its attack. I try to circle and get around it but it doesnt let me. The man is laughing like hes the villain of the story, oh i really hope i get to take this guy out. The robot doesnt let me pass and advances, cornering me. "Shit!" I think as I see the wall not to far back. I quickly dash to the other wall and run across it fast and land past the robot. It brings its swords down as it turns, destroying the ground, but I jump, the man is shooting me again as he retreats. I give chase. "Not again!" i think to myself, feeling frustrated. i've had enough of this cat and mouse. I sprint to catch him and soon right behind him. He's not getting away that easily! Artigo predicts his route for me so I take a detour and then cut in front of him. He freezes, surprised and adapts quickly. He pulls out his gun and backs into a wall. "Stay back!" he says. I ignore him and continue to approach. He shoots me and I dodge. Then in one motion, I leap at him and slash. He collapses and I sheath Kingslayer as I stand. Then, suddenly, the alley wall at the far end exploded. The heavy robot lunged through the dust, its two swords already in a terrifying, synchronized windmill. "Shit," I think to myself and quickly move out of the way. The robot advances and I block its first sword, Damn, it's strong. I dodge the second one and feel the wall not far away. Its cornered me! The robot's advance doesn't slow and Artigo feeds me evasive vectors that I try to keep up with, blocking the first sword but I know I'm cornered and its stronger. The robot knows this too as when I block, it goes for a horizontal strike with the other and I slam into the wall, Artigo tries to compensate for me as I lose consciousness. God it hurts. I feel myself slump against the wall. Everything hurts and my brain is overloaded with information and.. and it all fades to darkness.
