Gigi's POV [After Dinner]
Soon dinner ends and I admit, that was some of the best food I've ever had. Sanji fainted when I told him that, it was funny in a cute way. It was so good, I "poison tested" Nami's food, though I have a feeling she knew and let me anyway. See? This is why I like her. Yes. I'll admit it. I don't know if I've been too obvious or if she thinks its part of the act but she's just rolling with it. I love it, of course. I think she gave up when I took over her room earlier though but since then, I've been fantasizing about her being submissive to me since dinner... 10 minutes ago. God I'm hopeless aren't I?
Once all the food is settled and the festivities have ended for today, I head to Nami- I mean MY new room. I grab some of the blankets from the extra room and settle on the floor. As much as I would love to be in that bed, I need to keep some professionalism. We're just friends. Sigh, I wish that I could have her, but I guess I'll play the long game. Nami is definitely worth it. 'are you going to fantasize about her all night?' Artigo asks me. I glance at the sword, at close distance to grab at anytime. 'can't you help me? Your supposed to be super smart or wise.' I retort. 'your hopeless and you know it. Not much for me to say right now except to keep your panties' It tells me. 'thanks.' I tell it sarcastically. Artigo does help me in his own way I guess by going through my performance earlier and analyzing it with me. God, he is so.. judgmental? No, he knows me better than my mother. Critical? Yeah, that feels right. He criticizes me brutally, and while I know the truth to his words, I am still a little sore about losing I guess.
I glance up when I hear the door open and I see Nami stumble in looking ready for bed. She glances at me and looks surprised briefly. "What? Want me to sleep with you too princess?" I ask sarcastically, raising a brow. A part of me hoped she would invite me up but she doesn't offer, "No. I'm fine thank you very much" she says settling into bed. She turns toward me, "Don't get any ideas." she says. "Wouldn't dream of it princess." I respond and she smiles softly at me. God, I could melt with that smile, "You sure you don't want to sleep in a bed?" she asks. I glance at her, "I'm ok. Really, don't worry about me. I'm here to protect you." I tell her despite what my heart(and my back too) most definitely wants, to get in that bed. "Ok" She says and turns away.
I lay in the dark for a while longer and I eventually here Nami's quiet breathing as she falls asleep. God, she's so cute. I want her so badly.
As I lay there, sleepless Artigo goes with me through some stuff in the meantime, 'can we get to the interesting part?" I ask. 'bounties. Yes, I guess we will. Monkey D Luffy- 3 billion post Wano. Ronoa Zoro- 1.1 billion...' I listen and take it all in. They are strong, 'Now, your crush, Nami-366 million' Artigo says. 'In case you were interested, the price that the shadowy employer of yours paid is double then that tripled of Nami's current bounty.' I internally nod. 'anyone who pays that high for a job and that precise a number means they want no chance of being outbid and were intentional. I guess I can only speculate. Search for any relatives of hers, maybe it's her father or some guardian angel.' I tell Artigo. 'On it!' it tells me. Moments later it brings up the files of her adopted mother, Bellemere, her sister Nojiko, and some other townsfolk. I read them all and I feel bad reading about her past, I kinda want her to open up but I usually dig into who my clients are a little bit. I guess its fine. I read through and by the end, I can feel tears in my eyes. It's such a tragic story, it makes me want to hold her and never let her go. If I had any doubt about my decision about joining before, I had none now. Luffy saved her. He cared more than any person before. That's someone I'll follow.
'Are you crying Gigi?" Artigo asks, 'No I wasnt.' I say but I know he knows i'm lying. 'i'm a very factual being.. but even I admit, her story breaks my metaphorical heart.' I laugh internally, 'wow. So will you support me now?' i ask. 'she does deserve someone like you.' Artigo says. I blush internally, 'HOWEVER... You need to be able to protect her. I say it objectively from looking at today. We have ways to go. I'll begin setting our training schedule up.' Artigo says. I sigh tiredly, 'I knew there was a but coming. Asshole.'I tell him. He chuckles, 'You know it's true.' I don't say anything, not affirming nor denying that. 'Will you go to sleep now?' Artigo asks after a comfortable pause. 'no. We have more to cover right? I want to know about Reina and Reiko.' I say, not wanting to sleep. 'Affirmative. Searching now,' Artigo tells me and after a bit pulls up some stuff
Voidsteel Reiko, a revolutionary unit leader. She is typically reconnaissance and the back end tactician and has led 27 successful revolutions against the government. She is a genius, I'll admit that and also pretty. No wonder. Zoro's got good taste. Well, that and she's a hell of a swordswoman, 3.47 billion bounty and only living apprentice of the legendary swordsman assassin, Immortal Hawk. She definitely didn't mention that to Zoro but I'll keep an eye on her.
As for Reina, well, her story checks out but God-fucking-damn, she is a MONSTER.
'Queen of Heaven' Fitz D Reina. That tells you everything when there's a D. Grandfather was some big navigator, 3rd navigator for Roger and the night navigator after the first died. One hell of a guy, Fitz Flint with some crazy bounty of 5.4 billion. However compared to his granddaughter now, even he would cower. At 6 fucking billion point 01, Reina has gone head to head with MIHAWK. Yes, MIHAWK. Declared world's STRONGEST swordsWOMAN. We have the world's strongest swordswoman on this ship. She is literally across the hall.
Yeah no, I look like a pile of shit compared to that with my measly 1.7 billion. Yeah, I definitely need to get on that training regime Artigo's working on.
I promise, I won't let you down Nami. I will protect you no matter what. Nobody will hurt you again as long as you breathe and I have something to do about it.
