Zoro's POV
Reiko and I are sitting at the bar, I don't know what number I'm on. I feel Reiko tug on my sleeve, "C'mon, we need to get you back before you collapse." she says. I let her lift me up and put my arm around her shoulder.
Sometime later, my fogginess fades when I hear an explosion, "Huh?" I ask feeling more conscious. Reiko also looked in the direction of it. "I wonder what happened.." she says and we resume walking but at a quicker pace. Once I am more conscious when the next explosions happen I take my arm off Reiko. "We still need to get you to your ship." She says. I nod, "Yeah, they probably know what's happening." I say and she leads me to the dock. I see the Sunny and point, "See? I knew where we were going the whole time. You didn't have to come with me." I say. She raises her eyebrow "Really? You think so?" She says, obviously not believing that for a second. "You remind me of Nami. Are all women this way?" I say as I walk up to the deck confidently with her behind. "Mhm. No, just the ones kind enough to help you lost ass." she says and I snort.
"Whatever, the others aren't here yet..." I say and squint and I see Usopp, Sanji, Chopper and Franky running down the deck with expressions of confusion, panic or both, "Zoro! Do you know what's happening?" Usopps asks when they get here. "No. I got here a while ago." I say. "He means 5 minutes." Reiko says flatly. The others notice her, Sanji swoons, Chopper looks confused, still slightly scared by the explosions, Usopp terrified, Franky.. SUPER. "Who are you my radiant beautiful mademoiselle?" Sanji asks. She blushes slightly, "Reiko.. nice to meet you." she says and I feel annoyed, "Piss off cook, shes out of your league." I say feeling annoyed. He glares at me "WHAT DID YOU SAY MOSSHEAD?" he says. "I said, piss. Off. Shes out of your league, like pretty much all women." I say and he gets really angry at that "OUT OF MY LEAGUE? AT LEAST I HAVE ONE" He says. As I put my hands on my swords, getting ready to fight him. I hear something and when I look, its Luffy, followed by Nami and Brook. Nami is pinching her nose as she asses the situation and the others watch exasperated. "Is this normal?" Reiko asks Usopp, deeply amused "Unfortunately yeah.." he says with a sigh "ZORO!" Luffy says seeing me and runs over "Robin is looking for you!" I blink, "Why is she looking for me? I'm here." I say, "Because of me. Your welcome by the way." Reiko says to me smugly. "Who are you?" Luffy asks, tilting his head when he sees Reiko, "Reiko. Nice to meet you all." she says, "Thank you, truly from the bottom of my heart." Nami says. "The mosshead wouldn't have made it back and we would be searching for hours without your help." she says and Reiko smiles. My stomach does something, "Goddamn it. Those drinks weren't a good idea... But shit, her smile is pretty.." I shake my head, What is wrong with me? I really did have too much to drink.
"So what happened?" I ask getting serous. Nami gets serious again, "its.. complicated. I don't know the whole thing but I was attacked, this guy and a few robots that were with him were trying to capture me for some reason, but I got away.." she says, The others process this with serious expressions, "We should leave when Robin gets back," Chopper says and the other agree.
With that, Nami goes to call Robin and tell her to come back and Luffy turns to Reiko, "Your Zoro's friend right?" he asks. "Yeah, I sparred with him and helped him find his way back." she says, "That level of Zoro handling is beyond us," Usopp says with a snort. I glare at him, but meanwhile Luffy continues "Join my crew!" he says. Reiko blinks, surprised like everyone else, but I guess he was bound to ask eventually.
"Sure." she says and the others fall back "WHATT?!? THAT QUICK?" Luffy leaps into the air, grinning "YAY! NEW NAKAMA!" he says. Nami returns and sees the chaos, "Whats happening?" She asks confused "Luffy recruited a new member." Usopp explains. "I was gone FIVE MINUTES." she says "FIVE MINUTES AND WE HAVE A NEW CREW MATE?" she shouts then turns to Reiko. "No offense to you, your amazing Reiko. Glad to have you" She says and Reiko smiles back. My stomach is doing something again. Nami takes a deep breath and after a bit we get serious, "I told Robin and shes on her way." she says "Til then, lets get ready to leave once she gets here," she says and soon we split off to begin our preparations. Franky excitedly begins leading Reiko around and Nami gives out orders to everyone. I settle by the mast and open a sake, my thoughts drifting back to Reiko occasionally despite my best efforts.
