Chapter 1 - The Stars Beyond Her Eyes

Long ago, many moons ago, in an age forgotten by nowadays mortals, there was a goddess named Xephe.

in those ancient times, five gods ruled along side Xephe they were responsible for balancing the world.Together they were known as the Gods of Order, guardians of harmony between the divine and the mortal realms.

Xephe resided upon the moon in the night kingdom in the silver palace where the night sky stretched endlessly beyond anyone's gaze. Beside her stood her husband khxilen, king of the night kingdom.

Though not a god himself, Hkxilen possessed a power that could pierce through thin air and his duty was as heavy as that of the gods.Together, he and Xephe protected the balance of the world and guarded the sacred barrier that separated the mortal realm from the horrors of the underworld.

Xephe was an altruistic and compassionate being, she loved the people of the mortal world deeply.Their fragile lives fascinated her, their hoped and struggles filling her with compassion.Among the gods she was known by her secondary title—

The Goddess of All Loving

Hkxilen, however, was very aloof and indifferent— he saw mortals differently. To him, they were fleeting lives—tiny sparks that flickered briefly before vanishing into darkness.

Still,he fulfilled his duty.

For the sake of Xephe.

The other four gods each held dominion over a piece of the world's balance.

There was Pfhyro, the god of amber fire. His endless crimson flames burned eternally, maintaining the ring of balance of life and destruction across the world.

Next was Hymbra, the goddess of all flowing waters.Every river, ocean, and drop of rain answered to her command— for she was responsible for keeping the waters flowing and calm.

Naikai, the goddess of abundance and trickery, Watched closely over the hearts of mortals.Wise and observant, she ensured that darkness never grew too strong within human souls—thought her playful nature often made her methods unpredictable.

And finally Cosmolixus, the god of the cosmos.Unlike the others, he rarely left his post. From the vast edge of the barrier,he guarded the universe itself, watching for intruders from beyond with his arrow—mighty, looking marking his prey's roughly.

In peaceful times, the gods would gather within the silver palace to share tea and laughter beneath the endless night sky. They spoke of distant constellations, wandering comets, and the quit lives of mortals below.

Cosmolixus rarely attended.

His duty kept him far from such gatherings.

Everything was peaceful, the gods were on ease the people were happy. However, one quiet night while watching the endless void, Cosmolixus something strange.

 The barrier shimmered.

At first it was faint—so faint that it could have been mistaken for a passing ripple of light.

Then he saw it clearly.

A crack.

Thin and jagged, crawling slowly across the barrier like a fracture glass.

Cosmolixus stepped closer.

The moment he approached—

The barrier exploded.

A violent shockwave erupted outward, nearly killing him.

Before anyone could understand what had happened, the nightmare began.

5 demon kings emerged from the underworld, followed by the countless monstrous creatures pouring into the mortal realm.

War consumed the world.

Entire cities fell into ruins.Mortals, drowned in dark magic, turning against each other, others fleeing in terror as chaos spread across the lands.

Harmony shattered.

And the gods could not stop it.

Faced with the destruction of everything they had sworn to protect, the five gods made a terrible decision.

A forbidden ritual.

If performed. The ritual would destroy the invading demons and restore the balance of the world.

But the gods themselves would perish.

Their souls would scatter across time, waiting to be reborn in a distant future among the chosen children of the mortal world.

It was the ink way to save humanity.

When Hkxilen learned of Xephe's decision, terror gripped his heart.

He rushed to her side, his voice trembling with desperation.

'' Xephe…please,'' he begged. ''don't do this.''

His hands shook as he held her.

'' I cannot lose you. Not like this. You are everything to me… the only light in this cursed universe.''

He lowered his voice, pleading.

''Let's leave this world behind.Run away with me. Somewhere no one will even find us.''

Xephe smiles gently.

Tears shimmered in her eyes like distant stars.

"My love," she whispered softly, "no matter how many stars fade and are born again… my love for you will always remain."

She looked down toward the fragile world below.

"These mortals… they deserve hope. They deserve a future."

Her voice trembled.

"They cannot protect themselves the way we can."

She stepped back slowly.

"So I must complete my final duty."

She placed a hand over his heart.

"And when I am gone… I will become a star in the sky. I will watch over you."

Her voice softened to a whisper.

"And one day… I will find my way back to you."

Hkxilen could only stare in horror as she rose into the sky.

"No…!"

His voice shattered with grief.

"Xephe—DON'T LEAVE ME!"

The ritual had already begun.

And the stars themselves were about to fall.

The ritual circle burned with celestial light.

High in the sky,the five gods stood within an ancient formation Their voices echoed through the heavens as they spoke words in a language no mortal had ever heard.

Power gathered around them.

Streams of divine energy rose from their bodies, spiraling together into a single sphere of blinding light.

It grew larger.

Brighter.

More powerful than the stars themselves.

Far below them, the mortal world trembled.

Hkxilen burst through the palace gates.

His heart pounded violently in his chest as he saw the sky above the moon glowing with impossible light.

"No… no…"

He leapt into the air, racing toward the ritual circle.

Wind tore against him as he flew, desperation burning through every thought in his mind.

"XEPHE!"

His voice echoed through the heavens.

"COME BACK DOWN!"

Within the circle, Xephe heard him.

For a moment, she turned.

Their eyes met across the blinding light.

She did not speak.

She only smiled.

A quiet, gentle smile—the same one she had given him the day they first met in the lunar academy.

Hkxilen reached the barrier of the ritual circle.

Without hesitation he tried to force his way through.

The moment his hand touched the edge of the magic—

A violent surge of power erupted outward.

The force struck him like a thunderbolt.

He was thrown backward, crashing onto the cold surface.

The power of the five gods was beyond anything he could overcome.

Above him, the ritual reached its peak.

The sphere of light had grown into something monstrous—an orb of divine mana so powerful it seemed capable of destroying entire worlds.

Its brilliance rivaled the white sun itself.

The gods spoke their final words.

And then—

The heavens erupted.

A catastrophic wave of energy exploded across the cosmos.

The invading demon kings were obliterated instantly, their armies erased in a storm of celestial fire.

The war ended in a single moment.

Silence fell over the universe.

When Hkxilen finally opened his eyes again, his head throbbed with pain.

The sky had gone quiet.

The terrible light was gone.

Slowly, he forced himself to stand.

"Xephe…?"

His voice was weak.

Then he saw her.

She lay not far away.

Relief flooded his chest.

He stumbled toward her as fast as he could.

"Xephe…!"

But as he reached her side, his heart froze.

Her body was glowing faintly.

Tiny fragments of light were drifting away from her skin like dust made of stars.

Her form was beginning to fade.

"Hkxilen…" she whispered softly.

Her voice was fragile now, like the final note of a fading song.

He dropped to his knees beside her.

"No… no, Xephe… please…"

His hands trembled as he reached for her.

"I can't live in a world where you don't exist."

She smiled gently at him.

"Silly…"

Her fingers slowly lifted, brushing against his cheek.

"I'm not disappearing completely."

Her body shimmered as more stardust drifted into the night sky.

"Only my form will vanish."

She looked upward, toward the endless stars.

"I promised you… didn't I?"

Her eyes softened.

"One day, in a distant future, I will be reborn among the mortals."

She looked back at him.

"And when that day comes…"

Her voice became softer.

"You will find me again."

Tears streamed down Hkxilen's face.

"Xephe…"

He held her hand tightly as her fingers slowly dissolved into light.

"I will become a star," she whispered.

"Watching over you until that day arrives."

Her fading hand reached toward his face, gently wiping away his tears.

"Until then… live."

The last of her body dissolved into countless tiny lights.

They drifted upward into the sky, scattering among the stars.

Within seconds—

She was gone.

The king of the Night Kingdom remained kneeling alone on the mortal realm's ground.

The silence of the universe pressed heavily around him.

His hands still held the empty space where she had once been.

"Xephe…"

His voice broke as he looked toward the sky.

"I will wait for you."

His fingers slowly curled into fists.

"No matter how many years pass."

His voice trembled with quiet determination.

"No matter how many lifetimes."

Above him, a new star began to shine.

Brighter than the rest.

And somewhere far in the future…

the story that was forbidden by the laws of the world would begin again.
