The moment Cassandra saw Lucas, joy flashed openly across her face.
Then, almost immediately, she forced herself to look annoyed instead.
"Hmph. Do you have any idea how long I've been waiting for you? You only just arrived."
"I had to go through a bunch of examinations with the Healers at the camp," Lucas explained helplessly. "Madam Pomfrey forced me to stay there overnight."
Before he could say anything else, Cassandra had already grabbed his hand.
"Come on! I'm taking you to meet my parents!"
Her expression betrayed none of the cold elegance she normally maintained at Hogwarts. Right now, she looked genuinely happy.
Lucas was dragged all the way across the estate grounds by Cassandra while servants and house-elves quietly stared in shock from a distance.
Very quickly, he met Cassandra's parents.
Her father, Knox Greengrass.
Her mother, Elena Greengrass.
The moment they saw Lucas, both greeted him with overwhelming warmth.
After all, because of this boy, their precious daughter had returned home safely.
And ever since coming back, Cassandra had smiled more than she ever had before.
Mr. and Mrs. Greengrass's first impression of Lucas was exceptionally good.
Although his clothes were old, they were spotless and neat. His slightly messy black hair somehow matched his naturally gentle temperament perfectly.
Most importantly—
His smile.
It was astonishingly clean and sincere.
After learning everything this child had endured over the past six months, both of them felt genuine heartache the moment they saw him smiling so naturally.
A boy who had suffered through that much and still retained such warmth…
That could no longer simply be described as strength.
And on top of that, Lucas had even protected Cassandra from the Killing Curse with his own body.
If the curse had not accidentally struck the iron cauldron behind him instead, he would already be dead.
To willingly throw himself in front of a Killing Curse for someone else—
That kind of character was enough to move almost anyone.
That evening, Lucas shared a lavish dinner with the Greengrass family.
During the meal, his actor-level social skills combined with his absurdly enhanced charm stat activated once again.
By the end of dinner, everyone in the Greengrass household already adored him completely.
Even Kafi the house-elf became so emotional several times that the poor elf nearly cried into the soup.
And so, Lucas officially settled into the Greengrass estate.
Later that night, after saying goodnight to Cassandra, he finally returned to his room and closed the door behind him.
The moment he looked around the bedroom, however, his expression turned strange.
This room…
It looked exactly like the bedroom he had seen earlier in the prophecy involving Nagini.
Lucas slowly sat down at the desk.
Then he casually picked up a small ordinary pebble nearby and began working on it.
Black mist silently emerged from his body before condensing into an incredibly thin carving blade.
Under Lucas's precise control, the Obscurus transformed into something sharper than steel itself.
Stone fragments scattered across the desk as he carved carefully.
Before long, only a tiny smooth stone ring remained.
Lucas then carefully drilled a small hole through part of the ring.
Finally, he took out the Philosopher's Stone and lightly tapped the carved stone.
The dull material instantly transformed into pure gold.
A smile appeared on Lucas's face.
Then he raised his wand.
"Undetectable Extension Charm."
The spell sank directly into the tiny opening within the golden ring.
Gold possessed extremely high magical compatibility, so enchanting it was remarkably easy.
Inside the ring's tiny hollow center, the internal space rapidly expanded.
Normally, casting an Undetectable Extension Charm on something this small would be extraordinarily difficult.
But Lucas possessed both a max-level charm and an absurd magical foundation.
For him, the hardest step became the easiest.
Only after ensuring the internal space was large enough to comfortably contain Nagini did Lucas stop.
Next, he attached the storage space directly to the ring itself.
A faint shimmer passed across the surface.
Then the ring vanished completely from sight.
Even the tiny golden section containing the expanded space disappeared entirely.
Lucas looked delighted.
"Maybe I should make a few more of these in the future."
After all, almost nobody could cast an Undetectable Extension Charm onto an object as small as a ring while expanding the internal space this dramatically.
That was why magical storage rings simply did not exist on the market.
Then another thought appeared in his mind.
What if he made one for Cassandra?
She would probably love it.
"Hsss… Nagini, I prepared a new home for you. Come out."
Nagini slowly crawled out from the pocket of Lucas's old coat.
Lucas stretched out his hand, revealing the invisible ring once more.
The tiny golden section hidden within the ring emitted a soft glow.
Ripples spread through the air like water.
A curtain of light appeared before the ring.
Nagini slithered directly through it.
Her enormous body disappeared completely the moment she passed through the glowing surface.
Lucas immediately sensed her presence within the expanded space inside the ring.
Satisfied, he nodded slowly.
Everything matched the prophecy perfectly.
If he had never seen that vision before, he never would have thought of creating a home for Nagini inside the ring.
But because he saw the prophecy…
He had unknowingly contributed to fulfilling it himself.
Perhaps this ring truly was the key object that altered one of Nagini's countless possible fates.
After finishing with Nagini, Lucas returned to the desk and immediately began making another storage ring.
This one was intended for Cassandra.
Compared to the first attempt, the process felt much easier now.
The black mist carving blade moved steadily across the remaining stone while Lucas carefully shaped the outline of a ring.
He did not make the design overly complicated.
Instead, he simply modeled it loosely after the One Ring from The Lord of the Rings.
Lucas had always thought that ring looked incredibly elegant.
And honestly…
The craftsmanship was excellent too.
After a long while, Lucas finally picked up the finished stone ring and nodded with satisfaction.
The size should be perfect.
After all, earlier that day, while Cassandra dragged him around to meet her parents, he had secretly measured her finger size by touch.
Lucas took out the Philosopher's Stone once more.
With a light tap—
The stone ring transformed into gold instantly.
He spent a long time polishing every detail carefully before engraving Cassandra's name along the inner surface.
Then he created another tiny hollow section at the top.
Finally, Lucas cast the Undetectable Extension Charm once again.
The storage ring was complete.
And just like his own ring, the internal space had been expanded to nearly five cubic meters.
More than enough space for Cassandra to store countless things.
