"JJXX, what on earth are you drawing? Gojo just died like that?! His character has been completely ruined, hasn't it?!"
This incredulous complaint came from a young Chinese man named Kurogane Eigo, who was reading the Jujutsu Kaisen manga in his room.
A recent college graduate searching for a job, he had been flipping through the manga for a bit of relaxation—only to suffer a devastating emotional blow.
Yes, just like countless ordinary readers, he had become another victim of the man known as "JJXX."
As a longtime ACG fan, Kurogane Eigo had admired many characters. Among them, Gojo Satoru, who shared a similar name with him and enjoyed immense popularity, was one of his favorites.
After all, who wouldn't admire a handsome, powerful, sharp-tongued, yet exceptionally reliable 2D character? The fact that such a near-perfect character had his portrayal ruined in the manga was truly disheartening.
After the shock, Kurogane Eigo let out a sigh and slowly accepted reality.
Well… the downfall of a 2D character wasn't exactly rare. He should have been used to it by now.
He soon stopped paying attention to Jujutsu Kaisen and switched to the latest episode of Detective Conan instead.
This long-running "retirement insurance" series by Gosho Aoyama was another work he could never abandon.
However, halfway through the episode, he found it unbearable to watch the brainless original segments unrelated to the main storyline. Suppressing the urge to cough up blood, he closed the page.
If one were to talk about the flaws of Detective Conan, there were many.
The characters were gradually being ruined, the reasoning was becoming increasingly illogical, and not to mention the heavily unbalanced conflict between the red and black factions…
"Old Gin, you're really pitiful…"
Suddenly, a spark of imagination flashed through Kurogane Eigo's mind—a dream crossover.
If it were Gojo Satoru, whose character hadn't yet been ruined, appearing in the world of Detective Conan, could he become a highly popular character there as well?
Another white-haired character joining the Organization… wouldn't that threaten Gin's position in the underworld?
Kurogane Eigo shook his head, snapping himself out of the unrealistic daydream.
Mentally exhausted from being disappointed by both series, he decided to lie down and take a nap.

Before Kurogane Eigo could even question whether he was dreaming, his vision went black, and he lost consciousness.
When he woke up again, he found himself in a dark space, with a glowing sphere-like system floating before him.
Amid the system's constant mechanical chatter, he gradually understood the situation:
This system had been born from the collective imagination of readers.
It selected a popular character from one manga world, bound them to a host from Earth, and had the host roleplay that character.
The special twist? That character would then be placed into another manga world.
Kurogane Eigo had been chosen to roleplay Gojo Satoru, and he would be sent into the world of Detective Conan.
As long as he didn't violate Gojo Satoru's core personality, he could act freely in that world.
Moreover, in a parallel world where Jujutsu Kaisen didn't exist, his actions would be serialized in the Detective Conan manga as if he were an original character.
If he fulfilled two conditions, he could sign a contract with the Space-Time Administration and receive tremendous rewards:
First: Gain 100,000 impression points from both the Black faction and the Red faction. In other words, he needed to interact with characters from both sides in Detective Conan.
Second: Reach one billion popularity points. That is, the character "Gojo Satoru" must gain one billion fans in the parallel world's Detective Conan manga.
"One billion fans?!"
"Yes."
"Hey—don't say that so casually!"
"Ten small goals. Easy. Come on, I believe in you."
The glowing sphere smiled earnestly, as if even giving him a thumbs-up.
"Don't worry. Time flows differently between the two worlds. Even if the manga ends, it doesn't matter—you'll eventually reach the day you complete your goal. By then, you'll become a valued member of the Space-Time Administration, with endless benefits and everything you could want!"
After listening to the system's grand promises, Kurogane Eigo reflected on his life.
With no parents and few attachments in his original world, he decided he might as well take a gamble.
He accepted the offer—to roleplay as Gojo Satoru.
The system emitted a burst of light. Clusters of light transformed into particles and entered his mind.
In an instant, Kurogane Eigo received all the memories of Gojo Satoru—the head of the Gojo Clan, the strongest sorcerer in the Jujutsu world, a man who stood at the pinnacle yet still retained a kind heart—up until the moment he was killed by Ryomen Sukuna.
Rather than absorbing memories, it felt more like witnessing an entire lifetime in a single instant.
His own memories and personality remained intact, but with these new memories, he found it far easier to embody Gojo Satoru.
"System, I can move freely after transmigrating, right?"
"As long as you don't act too out of character, that's fine."
"In the Detective Conan manga where I appear… will all my scenes be drawn? I mean, even Gojo has to go to the bathroom, right…?"
"No. Only scenes relevant to the plot will be shown."
"…Alright. I understand."
After thinking for a moment, Kurogane Eigo came up with a plan.
He would have Gojo Satoru become a police officer—or perhaps join the FBI—and then find a way to infiltrate the Organization.
That way, he could interact with both the Red and Black factions at the same time.
As for poor Gin… well, he'd just have to struggle alone within the Organization.
[ Do you wish to transmigrate now? ]
Kurogane Eigo selected Yes.
Instantly, his consciousness blurred.
He vaguely felt a profound transformation occurring within his body—his soul seemed to truly merge with Gojo Satoru's.
And thus, his journey of roleplay… was about to begin in another world.
