The days passed by faster than anyone expected. Before Jacob even realized it, an entire week had already gone by since Damon's trauma had resurfaced that night inside his bedroom.
Surprisingly, everything had become calm afterward.
Not perfectly peaceful, no. The Lunar Fury Pack still carried its usual strictness and tension, and the heavy atmosphere that had always surrounded the pack house had not completely disappeared. But compared to before, things were different now.
The change was subtle, almost difficult to notice at first, yet every member of the pack could feel it.
Damon had changed.
He was still terrifying. His mere presence was enough to make wolves lower their heads in submission whenever he passed by. The cold authority in his eyes had not disappeared, nor had the dangerous aura surrounding him. But somehow, it no longer felt suffocating.
The pack members could finally breathe when he was around.
