"What happened?!" Beta Kulas rushed in, the door almost broke down, followed closely by Gamma Nilo, both of them tense and alert.
"We heard his wolf—" Kulas stopped mid-sentence as his eyes scanned the room. "Where is he?"
Jacob didn't answer immediately. He was still staring at the veranda, his mind struggling to catch up with everything that had just happened.
The cold wind still slipped through the open space, brushing against his skin as if Damon's presence still lingered there. His chest felt tight, his breathing uneven after what had happened only moments ago.
"He…" Jacob finally exhaled, his voice quiet and strained. "He went for a run."
Kulas frowned immediately, clearly dissatisfied with the answer.
"He just transformed and ran out?" he asked, stepping closer toward Jacob. His sharp eyes quickly scanned him from head to toe, searching for any signs of injury.
"Did he hurt you?" he asked with worries.
