After much longer than Roku thought, Kushina was still talking. He finally couldn't take it, Kushina had been going on and on for a while about Naruto. The woman had a whole diary dedicated to him, she had documented how long he slept, the amount of yawns he had, and more stupid stuff. The kid wasn't even a week old!
Roku understood it was probably a trauma response from losing Minato but he had to interrupt. "Kushina enough about this unimportant stuff, i want to tell you something Kushina-sama"
Kushina looked at him in shock, she was appalled that he would call such things unimportant!
Roku smiled inwardly as he looked at Kushina's appalled expression. He didn't know if it was healthy to bottle up her emotions and distract herself by obsessing over naruto but at least he knew naruto would have a much happier childhood.
Then Kushina realized what he said and got even angrier, "I told you to stop with the Sama stuff! It's ONEE SAN!!"
Roku apologized and started to laugh, "Onee-San, I'm gonna leave the village tonight"
The smile from him calling her Onee-san disappeared instantly. "What no what, is something wrong? Is it because of danzo? What did he do? I'll beat him to a pulp!"
Roku laughed even harder, "Don't worry I am not going rogue, just looking for someone."
Kushina sighed in relief, "Oh thank god, I was so worried. But who are you looking for?"
Roku's smile thinned, "I'm sorry but it's a secret, I didn't even tell Fugaku or Shisu. They only agreed to let me go after I promised to have my ravens send messages!"
Kushina glared at him, but after looking at the apologetic look of his face she couldn't stay mad. "Uh fine, but you have to message me more than you message Fugaku and tell me something even they don't know ! I can then mock him about how you like me better"
Roku laughed at her childish nature, he was glad she could still be so playful. "Sure I promise".
Roku then hesitated before continuing seriously , "Okay fine but you have to promise to keep it a secret."
Kushina nodded eagerly, Roku then spoke. "I told them I am leaving for half a year, but if i find the person i am looking for it will be at least 2 years"
Kushina sat up shocked and yelled, "Absolutely Not!". But then the sound of a baby cry rang out. Kushina ran over and picked him up and started to soothe him.
Roku chuckled before being stopped by Kushina's glare, "It's your loudness that woke him up so get over here and help me!"
As he walked over laughing harder, she had blamed him know damn sure it was her yelling. Kushina handed him the baby, as Roku looked down on the innocent boy his eyes were drawn toward the seal on his stomach. Roku held Naruto in one arm and poked his cheeks with the other.
As he was poking him , Kushina broke the silence. "Now you see why was telling you so much about him"
He smiled and handed the baby back to her, "He's almost as cute as i was when was his age"
Kushina rolled her eyes, "Your crazy naruto is a 100 no 1000 times cuter than you were"
Roku laughed and leaned against the side, "I'm sure your right"
Kushina glared at him before whispering so she didn't disturb naruto. "Whats this about you leaving for 2 years !"
Roku frowned before sighing, "I'm sorry but if i find her then I'll need to stay outside and train-"
Kushina interrupted him, "You can train in the village"
Roku shook his head, "It secret place specific training"
Kushina glared at him but knew she couldn't convince him
Roku then turned around and started to walk away. If I do leave, find them and plan to stay out that long I will send a message to you about what I need from you".
Kushina wanted to stop him but didn't, "Send me a message tonight too, so that before you leave so i can watch you set off"
Roku nodded and before he left he whispered something so quietly that Kushina almost didn't hear. "Thanks for being such a help after my mom died, your like my second mother"
As Roku closed the door Kushina began to cry tears of happiness, but she held them in and wiped her face.
That night at the Uchiha Compound
Construction had slowed down that night, Shisui and Fugaku were waiting near the entrance.
Just then Roku and the Masked Pakura appeared, they walked slowly over and stopped right in front of the two.
Roku waved and smiled, "Yo only you guys came? This is one shitty send off."
Fugaku scoffed, "Had you told me more about this trip maybe i could have given you a better one"
Roku laughed sheepishly, he turned to Shisui and ignored Fugaku. "So I'm setting off"
Shisui's smile faded, Shisui walked closer and gave him a hug. "Don't do anything dangerous"
Roku hugged him back and whispered so only he could hear, "You too, I've already seen you die once"
Shisui smiled softly and nodded. Fugaku wanted to say something so he just sighed and watched him leave.
Village Gates
At the village gates, Kushina and Naruto were waiting.
Shisui and Pakura appeared in front of them, Kushina glanced at Pakura in confusion. "Whose this?"
Before Pakura could answer Roku interrupted, "She's my side piece"
The two of them looked at him in confusion, "Oh yea that's a term you don't know. A side piece a girl that you fuck on the side, while you are dating another girl"
The three of them stayed silent before Pakura drew a Kunai and attacked Roku. "YOU WHAT! HOW DARE YOU!! I'll GUT YOU"
Roku dodged the Kuani and smiled hard, "Ok fine if you really want you can be one of my main wives"
But for some reason that was beyond Roku, Pakura's expression didn't get better. Before Pakura could kill him they were broken up by the sound of Kushina's laughter.
Kushina smiled and smacked Roku, on the back of the head and turned serious. "Roku don't make such jokes, cheating isn't"
Roku smiled turn miscevis, "Its not a joke, i plan to have a big haram"
The two women looked at him in annoyance before ignoring him, Kushina turned to Pakura and introduced herself. "Hi I am Kushina, how did you two meet?"
Pakura smiled and shook her hand, "Hi i am Pakura, i am a rouge ninja from the sand"
Kushina's eyes widened and she stepped back before glancing at Roku. "Don't worry Onee-San I'm the one who saved her, she is totally loyal"
Kushina sighed and gave Pakura a one armed hug, "If Roku trusts you I do too. Nice to meet you, please take care of Roku while you're gone."
Pakura sat their surprised and then melted into the hug, "Thank you i will"
Roku smiled on the side, happy that Kushina liked Pakura. "Good that you like her, i would hate for you to dislike one of my future girlfriends"
Pakura blushed furiously and glared at him, "I would never!".
Roku smiled teasingly, "You'll break eventually"
Kushina laughed on the side.
