Roku finished explaining to Pakura. "So that's basically what happened"
Pakura glanced at the sleeping woman and child, her eyes softened. "Let me hold the baby for you"
Roku smiled at her and nodded, "Here"
As Pakura looked down at the sleeping baby she smiled. She even changed her tree jumping posture to make the ride smoother for the baby.
As Roku smiled at Pakura's motherly love she glanced down at the women in his arms. She wasn't ugly but just looking at her made him angry.
As her shirt rolled up a little he could see countless scars cover her body and even noticed how malnourished she was. It was a miracle she could even live through childbirth, much less live long enough for Karin to remember her.
A Random Cave
Roku laughed at the Uzumaki women wolfing down food. She even began to choke on it, forcing him to pat her back until she recovered. He took the bowl from her hands before she could finish.
She looked at him and a frightened expression appeared, "I'm sorry I'll eat better, please"
Roku's expression softened and he rubbed her head, "No you're fine, you just can't eat too much or too fast, you could get a stomach ache."
Her eyes showed relief and then widened when he held the spoon to her mouth. "I'll feed you okay"
Her eyes widened and she blushed, but she was too meek to disobey. As Roku continued to slowly feed her he glanced at Pakura.
She was staring at him from the corner of her eye, her face showing clear annoyance.
Roku smiled at her, "What? Pakura, are you jealous?"
Pakura's face turned angry but before she could respond Kaho interrupted her. She got up and kneeled on the ground, "I'm so sorry Pakura-sama, Please dont-"
Pakura's eyes widened before rushing to comfort her, "No, No its fine, im not mad"
Roku also sat there in surprise, he turned serious. "Kaho it's fine we were just jokes"
She calmed down slightly and looked up at Pakura for confirmation. Pakura took the girl into her arms and petted her hair. "Shh, it's okay, don't worry".
Kaho looked at Roku, she sniffed and wiped her tears. "I am sorry for being so sensitive."
Roku looked at her face and turned serious, he took Kaho from Pakura's arm and sat her on his lap. He went in to give her a kiss on the forehead but he stopped when she started to shiver again
Kaho got startled and spoke up, "I'm sorry, please i wont be ungrateful just don't"
Roku stops her by putting his finger to her lips and petting her hair, "Shh it's fine don't worry, you haven't done anything wrong."
Every moment that he got to know her better he got angrier and angrier. Kushina had mentioned the name Kaho Uzumaki before, but in her memories she was an arrogant and headstrong girl who would beat up anyone that was rude to her.
To see this woman broken beyond repair just made him so angry that if he hadn't already awakened it he would obtain the Mangekyou.
That night
The cave was quiet with the sound of soft sleeping, but Pakura and Roku were woken up by the sound of whimpering and yelling.
They looked over to see Kaho having a horrible nightmare. The two jumped up and woke her.
She looked at them in complete and utter fear, Roku gently placed her into his lap and began to comfort her. She slowly began to recover and quiet down.
He turned to Pakura, "Hey give us some room to talk in private please"
Pakura looked at the two of them, before nodding and leaving. "I'll guard outside the save just have a clone call me in when its time"
Roku nodded before turning back to Kaho, he held her closer and began to question her. "I know I'll be asking a lot but could you please tell me what's wrong?"
She looked at him in fear and confusion. "What do you mean?"
Roku sighed but continued, "Tell me what the grass guys did to you"
Her eyes widened and she started to shiver, "Please no- don't. Don't make me"
She began to cry like a child, and Roku's expression hardened even further. He knew it would be hard to get it out but just asking, causing this was a little much.
It took a dozen minutes of comforting and assuring before he could even get her to calm down. Roku looked into the woman's eye and decided to change his approach.
He held her and smiled comfortingly, "Could you please at least tell me why you don't want to tell me?"
Based on her response Roku could narrow down her feelings and help her further. She hesitated before whispering as quietly as as she could, "I don't want you to be disgusted"
Roku's eyes widened, a response like that was one of the worst ones. He held her close and began to assure her. "Shh. It's okay, I would never do that please."
She looked at him before hesitating and slowly shook her head. Roku sighed and talked to her, "Okay to try and convince you, let me tell you a little about my self"
Then he told her his entire life stories, all his hard and happy moments. About his mom's accomplishments and her death, how he saved Pakura, and even how he saved Kushina's life.
As he finished looking at her he broke the comfortable silence. "Do you trust me now?"
She looked at him in confusion before she remembered. After remembering what started this conversation she began to tremble again. But after looking at the comforting look in his eyes and doing breathing exercises stopped trembling.
She looked up at him and couldn't meet his eyes. "I'm not worth anything"
Roku turned serious and forced her face to look at him. "Don't be dumb yes you are!"
She shook her head and began to cry, "I'm such a Slut! i don't even know Karin's father! I am trash"
Roku's eyes widened before brushing her head, "What do you mean it's fine, you're perfect. Tell me what happened"
She began to cry harder, "The ninja got bored and they said they needed another blood pack. Then they- they"
Roku's eyes hardened in pure hatred, now it all made sense. The grass ninja didn't just treat her like a disposable healing item, they even raped her. That's why she felt so insecure, she felt unclean and even scared that he would be disgusted and abandon her back to their.
But before he couldn't even begin to comfort her she interrupted him. "I know, I'll leave, but Karin's not dirty like me! Just- just keep her please!"
Roku's eye turned blood red and a Mangekyou appeared, he realized she only told him because she was afraid he would get mad and hurt Karin and her. So she cut her loses and tried to at least save Karin
But before she could wallow in more self disgust he stopped her. "Never say you're disgusting again!"
She looked at him in confusion, "But I- I am a-"
Roku glared at her and gritted his teeth, "Their the disgusting one not you, it's not your fault that grass ninja are scum. And it's definitely not gonna make me look down on you"
As she began to stammer and look at him in shock and wariness, he stabbed his arm, "squelch!".
Kaho looked on in shock and went silent before screaming. "AHH! Here bite me!! It'll heal you!"
Roku shoved her arm away from him face, "NO! You will never heal like that EVER!"
Kaho looked at him in shock and began to cry, Roku turn serious, "Kaho look at me now!"
She hesitated before staring into his eyes, "I have 2 new rules, First you and Karin can never let someone be healed like that again. Secondly you may NEVER say anything about you being unworthy or disgusting again!"
She looked at him in surprise, but Roku continued. "Every time one of those rules is broken i will stab myself"
She gasped in shock, "No Roku-sama you can't I'm not worthy-"
Roku's expression turned dark and he picked up his kunai again "Squelch!".
She turned silent and was too afraid to dissuade him. Roku felt bad for scaring her but it was the only way for him to show he wasn't disgusted.
He spoke up again, "I now see you even more awesome, for you to go through so much and still be alive is more than amazing!"
She looked at him with hope and shock before crying into his chest, "Thank- Thank you. Oh my god, I am so sorry."
She began to repeat thanking him and crying from happiness and cause him getting hurt until she passed out from exhaustion. Roku looked down at her peaceful face and sighed.
He summoned a clone and called Pakura back in. As she entered Roku softly spoke up before she could interrupt. "She's asleep stay quiet"
Pakura glanced at Kaho and her red puffy eyes and nodded. But then she noticed the blood and turned shocked.
Roku sighed and explained, "She was in a bad state of mind and i need something drastic to get her out"
She sat down and thought about what to say, but Roku interrupted her. "It's none of your business, go to sleep. If you want to know more ask her yourself"
Pakura's eyes widened in surprise, she then noticed his eyes. He had his Mangekyou out and had a desire to kill in his eyes! Even though she knew it wasn't directed at her she still felt fear.
But she just nodded and stayed silent.
