As the morning came, Roku glanced at Kaho's sleeping form and smiled, as he looked down at the women he began to think. At first he had saved the two because Kaho and her daughter were very important to his plans. But now he didn't care about his plan that much, he just felt bad for the two.
Just then he heard Pakura stirring, he glanced up and his smile turned worried. He had been in a bad mood last night and had been too harsh to Pakura. He sighed before forming some seals and grabbing Kaho's head.
Pakura noticed this and raised an eyebrow, "What's that for?".
Roku glanced at her before he sighed, "Just a Medical Jutsu to keep her asleep, we need to talk"
Pakura raised an eyebrow, "Why?"
Roku sighed and began to talk, "I'm sorry for being rude last night, i was in a bad mood"
A smile grew on Pakura's face and she began to laugh, "Don't worry it wasn't a big deal"
Roku face turned solemn, "No it is a problem, Its not okay for me to take my anger out on you"
Pakura laughed again, "Your so confusing"
Roku raised a brow, "What do you mean?"
Pakura smiled annoyedly, "Half the time your an annoying idiot who flirts with any woman you see and the other half you act so serious and solemn like you have the world on your shoulders"
Roku smiled before sighing, "I guess I am kind of two different people, my body is the dumb 14 year old and the soul is a man that has seen the death of everyone he loves"
He stared at Pakura before activating his Mangekyou, "The future of this world is dark, my body may be 14 but my soul has seen the years to come and the pain it will bring"
Pakura's smile disappeared and a contemplative expression crossed her face, "So your what? So you're saying you aren't technically 14? Just because you have seen the future doesn't mean you have lived it."
Roku smiled, "Age is a construct when you involve the supernatural. Is me seeing my own future and getting those memories count as aging? Or does it depend on my body's age? And if so, what if my body stops aging at 14?"
Pakura raised a brow, "You're sure this isn't an excuse to try and convince me that you're a Man? Because no matter what you a kid I am not gonna date you"
Roku laughed, "Nah it's not, I am just thinking about what I am."
He looked at the ceiling of the cave and sighed, "I have always been told that I was too mature for my age, and I guess my knowledge is making it worse."
Flashback
In a pure white room there were two "people" staring at each other, well you couldn't really call them people. But one was at least humanoid, the "Man" on the right was just a male shaped construct of shifting shadow and light while the "Being" on the left..
Yes "Being" was the right word, God could also be used but its form just seemed too abstract to fit into the class of God.
The "Being" was incomprehensible, it was as if they existed but didn't at the same time. The only thing one could make out was a sense of grandeur.
The "Man" and the "Being" stood silently before the "Being" spoke. "Hello kid"
Just hearing the words felt painful and comforting at the same time, the words weren't in any language he knew but he just understood them.
The "Man" looked around before questioning, "What are you? Who am I? Where is this?"
As the "Being" began to smile, or well whatever a smile was for this "Being" he explained. "You my friend are in a domain between universes, you are here after your death to help me"
The "Man" turned confused, "Death? Why can't I remember my life? Help You? What could I even do?"
The "Being" sighed before explaining, "Your soul had already partially gone through the river of reincarnation before i could take you"
The "Man" interrupted, "River of death?"
The "Being" smiled, "Don't interrupted, don't worry i will explain it all"
The "Man" nodded before the "Being" continued, "The river of death is the easiest way to explain it, It erases a person memories and then their personality before continuing the cycle of reincarnation"
A normal person should have felt scared at having his memories wiped but for some reason he didn't, he only felt annoyed. The "Being" continued, "The river starts with your most important memories before going on to the lesser ones. I was able to get you out in time to maintain some of your memories."
The "Man" nodded, "But the only memories you should have are unimportant ones like a TV show you watched or the recipe of some food. Not memories that were important to you"
The "Man" wanted to interrupt but didn't have the chance, the "Being" noticed and didn't even need him to say it. "It starts with the more important memories to try and loosen the tether between your soul and personality."
This just created more questions in the "Mans" mind, the "Being" laughed before continuing. "The connection between a soul and its personality is very strong. Only the river of death can remove it without damaging the soul. And even then it doesn't always work perfectly "
It continued, "Some people like you can even reincarnate with a semblance of a personality, and yes that's while I saved you. You're special, you're the only person that i have ever seen that even losing all your major memories you kept your personality completely tethered."
The man interrupted, "What do you want from me?"
The being began to laugh furiously, "See that's what makes you special!!"
The "Man" looked confused at the god like being laughing like a idiotic child. The "Being" laughed even harder before explaining, "You even called me an idiot in your mind! Ha ha, even if you were the first to keep your personality, having such an interesting one is so awesome!"
The "Man" turned defensive before yelling, "Don't read my mind!".
The "Being" almost started laughing again but stopped themself, "See! For you to be able to feel my strength and still treat me like this is just insane! Its as if you don't feel any awe"
The "Man" answer, "Why would i feel awe for such a stupid god, you may be stronger but your still and idiot"
The "Being" turned solemn before it appeared in front of the "Man" and began to force him to the ground with all its strength. The "Man" collapsed under the weight of the uncontrolled power, unimaginable pain shot through his soul. He started up at the "Being" in pure anger.
The "Being" stopped and began to laugh again, "See even while you are feeling such pain you still were so arrogant and didn't feel fear!"
The "Man" got up and still glared at the being, the "Being" stopped laughing and smiled. "Sorry, sorry it's just so interesting! I have never seen someone like you!"
The "Man" stopped glaring and sighed, "What do you want from me?"
The being smiled even further and a teasing tone entered its voice. "It's a secret!"
The "Man" started to walk around the white room. The "Being" looked on in confusion and questioned him. "What are you doing?"
The "Man" responded, "Nothing just seeing what this room is."
The "Being" smiled proudly, "This is the domain I created, it's awesome right!"
The "Man" looked back and began to shake his head. "Are you really God?"
The " Being" began to nod, "Yep the one and only, but I am not any of those gods you humans worship. But you should still worship me since i am so much better than you humans"
The "Man" sighed before smacking his forehead.
