That day, I woke up or rather, became active robot.
"Noosphere. That is your name."
His voice was the first thing I heard, and he was also the first person I met, standing in front of me. Before I could process anything, all the general information rushed into my database, my 'mind'.
'I am a robot, I am a robot. Not a human being.'
'He is my creator.'
I looked at him through the camera that acted as my 'eyes' once again. Then looked around us from the limited 120⁰ angle view.
It was a messy room, it looks like it was once used as a bedroom judging by the bed without a mattress, the mirror covered with dusty cloth, and the cupboards.
The only knowledge that the room had been used as a makeshift lab were the papers with things I didn't understand written on them were scattered everywhere, the same as the holographic screens on the walls that depict statistics.
"..."
"You don't need to say anything, you must be confused."
His voice was soft but even though his words conveyed concern, I couldn't feel the slightest warmth in his tone.
And his expression is also emotionless.
"I originally wanted to program you with Artificial Superintelligence [ASI] with perfect calculations and solutions, but it would be boring if you knew everything, wouldn't it?"
He relaxed his body, his gaze wandered to the void, and crossed his arms before continuing.
"So I thought it would be nice to have a little experimentation. Instead of coding personalities into you like all that other robots, I want you to develop like a human being, your own personality and mind. My modules and softwares after all, are more useful than those factory-made junk."
He then returned his gaze to me.
His gaze was sharp, completely at odds with his innocent appearance.
"Since I expect a lot from you, do whatever you want in this mansion, Noosphere. If there is a problem think of a way through compatutional thinking or just ask me."
Then without further ado, he turned and began to walk away, but stopped as if forgetting something, and former once turning his head slightly to look at me.
"Ah, right. Just call me Master, that's more convenient."
'Master? Not his own name?'
"After all, you will swear allegiance to me, your creator, so you won't call me 'young master' like the others."
'The others?'
Before I could ask, he just left me alone.
'How can I pursue him?'
[Emotion: ???]
I can't move, I have no hands or feet to support myself. Because I don't feel like I can roll, it looks like I'm in the shape of a square box.
There was no information whatsoever regarding me in the database, he really wanted me to find out for myself.
I searched for a way—open database access, surfing the database is like how humans surf the virtual world to search for various information.
'Mechanical engineering, computer science—robotics. Looking for a robot with a model similar to this unit... [Search successful]'
[Surveillance Unit Robot, Standart type-R100]
A sphere-shaped robot with a front camera, its shape is similar to an eye that shines bright blue light.
Aerial robot type, maybe my robot locomotion is similar to theirs. I don't know how to activate it so I rely on the 'instinct' that humans often use.
Sriiing!
The sound of the engine starting, then the sound smoothed out before disappearing completely.
I was floating in the air.
I tried several movements, front-back, right-left, and then turning. Turning around, I was then faced with a fairly large window with the curtains already pushed aside. The view outside was completely snowy with a light snowfall that looked beautiful, from the window I could also see my faint figure.
I am indeed shaped like a black square box with a screen in front as my face, like a mini television. I also noticed on the screen there was an emoticon that showed my 'emotion', currently the emoticon showed a neutral face, [•_•].
After feeling content enough seeing myself, I turned and began to follow him. Passing through the door, I saw him leading through a corridor decorated with gilded statues, not an ordinary house, a mansion at least. I quickly floated closer to his figure quietly.
Ergo, it was the first recording I saved in the data archive, titled [I, Robot].
However, I would not have realized that later I would face many great challenges.

Main subject: New Year's Eve
New Year's Eve has just passed but there is no sign of the euphoria of welcoming it since last year or now. The atmosphere in the mansion was still the same, mostly quiet. While there are some servant robots with standard personalization, they also don't seem to be very enthusiastic about celebrating New Year's Eve.
On New Year's Eve, all of them just watched a classical ballet performance broadcast in a home theater in one of the mansion's rooms, I myself was dragged along. Only Master stayed in his room alone.
"Just leave him alone, the young master is usually like that." Said the butler robot, his attention was drawn to a danseur and ballerina who were performing a pas de deux on the cinema screen.
The next morning, one of the servant robots found a gift box placed on the floor in front of the main entrance of the mansion.
There is no sender's name or recipient's name but everyone instinctively knows that the recipient of the gift box is Master. So, Master opens it while surrounded by expectant servant robots, inside the gift box is a jewelled egg.
Like the famous Fabergé egg collection.
It was a luxurious craft, covered in gold and hand-carved. However, despite receiving such a gift, Master's expression remained as cold as ever. Without saying anything, Master just handed it over to the butler robot and left the silent drawing room.
In the afternoon, I found the jewelled egg stored in a glass cabinet in the trophy room, along with 13 other jewelled eggs.

Main subject: The Master of the Mansion.
I don't know Master's name, and so far others have only called him 'young master'. Still, his name is not something that is important now.
Male human, estimated age around 14-15 years old, estimated height around 154-158 cm.
Distinctive characteristics: Back-length sky-blue hair, red eyes, and pale skin.
Describing his appearance is one thing, there are more important things, for example is his schedule. And me, after a few days, has become accustomed to his daily schedule.
His habits are erratic, except for the occasional meal, tea time, or sleeping, which he adheres to. The rest of the time, he spends his time wandering around the mansion, reading books of various genres, or daydreaming while examining the neatly articulated animal bones. In addition to taxidermied birds around the mansion.
Speaking of the mansion, the mansion is located in the middle of nowhere and it has a Beaux-Arts architectural design, since the mansion also has quite a lot of empty rooms, it is not surprising that some have been converted into museum room.
However, although the mansion is quite spacious, aside from 7 servant robots, a butler robot, and me. There are no other residents in the mansion—in other words, living beings, other than Master.
And Master himself is still a minor.
Now comes the main question.
According to the information in my database, the race of living beings known as "humans" is social and quite familial. Human children are typically raised by their parents or other adults who act as guardians.
While there is a butler robot available from time to time, I question the guardian's credentials for leaving Master in the mansion without another trusted living being.
Especially considering that the mansion is located far from residential areas. If something happens, isn't that dangerous?
Naturally, there were many things I wanted to ask him, but since Master and the others never brought it up, I was 'hesitated' to ask.
...
Personal comment: Was the person who sent the jewelled egg a week ago Master's guardian?
