Soon break time had arrived and Aria quickly escaped the classroom to run an errand. Where is the medical office?
Aria had something bugging her since the previous day and she needed to find out.
Arriving at the medical office, she found it empty. Perfect, now where can I find a weigh scale? Looking around briefly, she found a normal weigh scale in the corner of the room. It was an electronic scale that was made of a metal plate with a glass screen at the top.
Aria looked around before stepping on the scale. Last time I weighed myself, I was 162 pounds. Please don't be high! Aria pleaded as she watched the screen bring up a number.
< 324 lbs >
Aria's jaw dropped as she jumped off the scale. Dammit that's double what my weight used to be. Aria was extremely annoyed with her Atomic Density skill and the effect it had on her.
A light chuckle was heard behind her, Aria whipped around to look for the source. Not seeing anyone, she relaxed a little.
Feeling like it may have been a fluke the first time, Aria stepped on the scale again. She was met with the same result, and she silently cursed in response.
Eric whistled as he glanced over Aria's shoulder, "never took you for a heavyweight."
Aria's embarrassment was at an all time high and her face became as red as a rose. She covered her face with her hands. He saw, didn't he?
Eric however was having the time of his life, laughing away.
"Why did you follow me!" Aria hissed after getting off the scale.
Eric finally regained his composure, "the way you bolted out of class was suspicious, so I came to find you out of curiosity." He shrugged.
"By the way, how does a Celestial bloodline make you that physically dense? It doesn't really fit with your bloodline." Eric asked her. He still could tell that Aria was still keeping secrets and he was dying to find out.
Aria didn't know how to explain this one, "Uh, I'm not sure either, it is a new ability I just developed."
Eric knew she was lying but decided he would leave it alone for now.
A bell rung indicating that the next classes were starting again. The two of them walked back to the classroom together. Before entering the door, Aria asked Eric for a request.
"Can you please not tell anyone about my weight?" She asked in an uncharacteristically shy voice.
"Haha sure, I have no reason to reveal it to others. It also makes for perfect blackmail." He said before opening the classroom door and entering. Aria was left in the doorway, speechless at his response.
.....
Once lunch had arrived, Aria headed to the the cafeteria to grab food for her and Maya. A certain person decided to tag along.
"Eric, may I know why you are following me?" Aria asked without even looking at him as she walked.
"Things are always fun when you are around, so I'm here to relieve my boredom." He said calmly while walking beside her.
Knowing she wasn't going to persuade him to leave, she left it alone. Maybe he will leave when he is bored then.
After grabbing two meals to go, Aria along with Eric went towards the library. On the way there though, a girl tried to trip her by sticking their foot out in front of Aria.
After increasing her stats and learning from her first day of school, Aria saw the pathetic attempt coming. Wanting for the girl to learn her lesson, Aria decided to "accidentally" step on her foot.
Forgetting about her recent weight increase, Aria stepped on the girls foot with all her body weight. After Aria's foot made contact, a loud crack echoed throughout the hallway.
The girl who's foot just broke, screamed out in pain. Another girl ran over to help out her friend, "what happened?!"
"Sorry, but don't get in my way in the future." Aria genuinely felt bad about hurting her however the girl deserved it for trying to cause her harm first. Aria continued walking, not looking back at the commotion behind her.
Eric still beside Aria had a slight smile on his face. "See, never boring."
Aria glared at him, but softened her gaze when she realized he meant no harm. It's kind of nice having someone around to hang out with. She would never dare to admit that to anyone though.
The two soon arrived at the library and entered the large wooden doors. Maya sat at a desk nearby where she was reading a book. Seeing them enter, she got up to meet them.
"Hi Maya, I brought lunch!" Aria gleefully said holding up the bag of food.
"Thank you. It seems we have a guest as well," Maya said as she acknowledged Eric.
"Yeah, hope you don't mind. You can forget he is here if you would like." Aria said with a slight smirk on her face.
"I don't think that's possible, I'm hard to ignore." He responded casually.
Aria rolled her eyes as the three sat down at a table nearby.
"So what combat classes do you both take? Everyone is required to take a least one right?" Aria asked them.
"I take a martial arts course for Taekwondo. It fits well with my ability and it's quiet since there isn't many students taking it." Maya responded before she took a bite of her side salad.
"What about you Eric?" Aria asked him with curiosity.
"Eh I don't take any combat classes, let's call it a special exception." He responded to her question.
"Well that's not fair, how come?" Aria questioned further.
"I don't need to prove my combat ability to anyone, that's why." With such a cryptic answer, Aria only had more questions. Same with the seat change, he has some influence when it comes to the Academy. Maybe he's the son of a member of the school board or something. Aria was developing her theory and ironically Maya was also thinking somewhere along the same line.
"Eric, what is your family name?" Maya asked outright.
"Well aren't you bold, I won't tell you for free though. I will trade information if you have anything interesting to share," Eric responded nonchalantly.
"I know what it is, I could always just tell her." Aria intervened as she looked at Eric.
Eric mentioned one number, "324". Aria instantly knew what he was referring to and backed off. "Sorry Maya, I can't help you this time."
Eric grinned, knowing Aria's weakness. "So Maya, what information are you willing to trade?"
