Aria looked upon the Yggdravine in the distance, as she tried to devise a plan. A ding sound came from her system.
[ Quest Received - Defeat the Yggdravine, or destroy the portal crystals. Depending on course of action, rewards will differ upon completion. ]
I honestly just want to go home, I'll try to defeat the monster too but the priority is to get out of here. I want to make sure Maya is safe. Eric can suffer a bit though.
Aria took her Star Piercer and aimed directly for the crystal at the roots of the Yggdravine. With a powerful motion, she launched the pillar of light. With 20 points in strength, covering the distance was an achievable task for Aria. The spear struck the crystal with accuracy as it crumbled apart. Aria waited for the portal to close. "Didn't I just break the portal crystal? Why aren't I being teleported to the entrance?"
The Yggdravine suddenly began to shake, large roots that were embedded in the earth broke free and thrashed about. Somehow Aria got the feeling, she pissed it off just now.
A rumbling sound erupted all around. From the edges of the darkness, four Tree Ents appeared. The same as the one that Aria encountered before falling down. They slowly made their way to the Yggdravine in the center of the cavern. It looks like they are protecting the Yggdravine, and following its orders? Aria didn't know what was going on but that same bad feeling returned.
Aria scanned one of the Tree Ents, to see if her system could give any other information that could help her win or at least survive.

Aria blinked while looking at the new upgrade, "perfect timing." She scanned the Tree Ent and Yggdravine once more to see what new information the upgrade revealed.

- Weakness: Fire inhibits the regeneration of a Tree Ent and will kill it in large quantities or with a high enough intensity.
- B-rank Monster Yggdravine
- A subclass of world tree that has been corrupted from a young age. Releases airborne pollen that influences the minds of beings that inhale it.
- Weakness: Fire will temporarily stop it's regeneration. A core is randomly placed within the body of the Yggdravine. Destroying the core will stop it's regeneration and cause the monster to wilt away.
A weakness! Aria was relieved by the system coming through with some life saving information. The problem was, how could she create fire? Her ability was technically light, and fire can be created using light and heat. She needed to increase the heat of her light in order to harm the Ents or Yggdravine. Her Star Piercer was pure focused light and energy, but it wasn't going to be able to do the trick in this case.
Aria remembered when she first created the Star Piercer skill, she made a massive light sphere that was almost like a mini sun. The heat coming off of it at the time was much hotter than normal. She could replicate that sphere. Her Light Manipulation skill increased since then, so her sphere could be all the more powerful this time. That might be just what I need in this case.
Aria needed to get closer to the Yggdravine, she was too far away to execute her newly devised plan where she currently stood. She activated her Celestial Cloak, and quietly moved closer to where the Ents were surrounding the Yggdravine. She got within 20 feet of the closest Tree Ent, and she didn't dare to get any closer. She crouched beside a large rock nearby, and looked over towards the tree. I really hope this works.
Aria deactivated her cloaking skill and hid behind the rock. As Aria was waiting for her moment to attack, something from her shadow shifted. It was like a piece of her shadow had seperated itself and moved away.
Not paying any attention to her shadow, Aria activated her Light Manipulation skill and began forming the largest light sphere she could possibly make at the moment. It grew until it was larger than her own self. The heat it was giving off was definitely more intense now. Aria felt as though her skin was beginning to burn by standing so close to it. The Ents took notice of the brilliant light coming from about 15 feet away. They seemed puzzled and the first Ent took a step towards it.
Aria couldn't make the sphere any larger at this point, so she threw it as hard as she could towards the Ent closest to her. The sphere barreled its way to the Ent and impacted with its large body. The Ent began to fall backwards as its entire body started to become engulfed in flames. The light sphere dissipated shortly after it met the Tree Ent. Before disappearing, the sphere cause small fires to appear on the root system of the Yggdravine.
Fire spreads. This fire was no exception either. The intense flames that covered the Tree Ent were feeding off the wood of the beasts body. Soon the Tree Ent stopped all movement as the last of its body was being burned away by the flames. The small flames that started on the Yggdravine, slowly fizzled out as its resistance and regeneration was much stronger.
The other three Tree Ents locked onto Aria as they began to approach her now, angry at the demise of their fellow Ent. Aria ignored her system messages for the moment as she had to think fast. That massive light sphere took about 40 AP, and she could only do it once more. "Shit, I might not make it out of this alive."
