The next day, Aria was standing with her brother outside the Awakened Assessment Centre or the AAC. One of many government agencies that had come to existence in the wake of people obtaining their ancient bloodlines and the appearance of monsters.
"So, you ready to go in?" Ben asked Aria as she seemed to just be standing there frozen.
Aria gathered her resolve and entered the building. After speaking to the front desk and confirming the appointment, Aria was asked to wait in a seating area nearby.
After about 5 minutes, a nurse in a blue scrub came to greet them with a friendly smile. The nurse had light brown skin and longer black hair put into a bun. "Miss Knight, we are now ready for you. You must do the assessment alone, so please come with me while your family member waits here."
Aria waved goodbye to her brother as she followed the nurse who came to get her. They proceeded further into the building and arrived in a large white room with various computer screens placed around the room. In the center of the room was a large glass cylinder that easily could fit a human inside. Aria guessed that is what the test is done with. A doctor on the opposite side of the room came over and greeted Aria offering a handshake.
"Hello there, I'm Dr. Bensen. Pleased to meet you Miss Aria?" The doctor was a middle aged man with medium length brown hair, and wore wire framed glasses. He kinda had a nerdy but professional appearance in Aria's opinion.
"Nice to meet you too." Aria nervously responded and shook the doctor's extended hand.
"Now we hear you have awakened, so we are going to test what rank you are and confirm that you have indeed awakened. Please step into the glass cylinder in the centre of the room, and we will proceed with the test."
The same nurse that brought Aria to the room, walked to the cylindrical object and pulled the handle on the side of the glass, opening a door for Aria to step into.
Aria stepped into the glass cylinder as the door was closed behind her. Up above her head was a small speaker that the doctor spoke to her through.
"We are going to start the test now, please stand still and we will tell you when the test has finished."
Aria held as still as possible. Green lines began to circle Aria with a grid like pattern. It felt like a minute had gone by when her system flashed in front of her eyes.
[ Scan of host bloodline detected, initiating system ability to block external interference. ]
Aria wasn't sure what was happening, but she couldn't do anything about it.
Soon the test was done and Aria could come out of the glass cylinder. In the next moment, Dr. Bensen walked over with a tablet in his hands.
"The test was a little odd, but we were able to get a result regardless. Congrats Aria, you are indeed awakened. Unfortunately I regret to inform you that you are an F-rank. Your bloodlines is of the Celestial type, but is a lesser angel bloodline."
Aria couldn't quite understand what she was hearing. Her system said she was of a High Celestial bloodline, and Titan bloodline. Now that she thought about it, she had never heard of anyone with more than one bloodline before.
Did the system notification I received during the test have something to do with my test results? Aria was thinking about how this result came to be.
"Now I know this isn't the ideal result, but awakeners have shown that they can improve their rank by one of two ranks through dedicated training." The doctor continued. "Since you are now awakened, you will have to transfer schools and attend a school that focuses on training and learning to control your bloodlines ability. Even a weak ability can cause a lot of damage to ordinary humans. I will submit your details to the National Schoolboard of Awakeners, and they will be in touch will you regarding your new school arrangements. Please return to the front desk before you leave to get your awakened identity card."
With that, the Dr. Bensen turned around and exited the room from a different door while Aria went the way she came following the same nurse once again. Aria met with Ben before she went to the desk for her new documents.
"So what happened in there?" Ben asked.
