3 days later.....
"What a building."
Aria found herself standing in front of her new school in a completely different city. She readjusted the collar of her new school uniform. The uniform was a white dress shirt with a dark blue blazer and matching blue dress-pants. Aria had the choice of a skirt as well but prefered the pants for comfort. She glanced over the different building accross the campus and couldn't believe the scale. It was larger than some universities. This was the Miraden Academy of Awakened.
2 days earlier, Ben and Aria received a delivery with all the information regarding her new school arrangements. When they saw the name of the school, they both were surprised. This wasn't just any school, this was one of the top 10 awakened schools in the continent. Aria was just an F-rank, this must have been a mistake. Ben called the number on the documents for inquiries, since he too thought this was a mistake. He was able to get a hold of someone.
"Hi there, I'm calling to see if there was a mistake in the school assignment of my sister Aria Knight."
"Hold on just a moment while I search the file...it doesn't seem like a mistake, there was a last minute opening at the school and based on the timing, she was able to get in last minute. She's very lucky to get this assignment."
After the phone call, Ben couldn't help but be more concerned. This was a top level school where only some of the best awakened students attent, meaning a F-rank would be more out of place.
Back to in front of Miraden Academy of Awakened...
Aria was still observing the castle like building in front of her, lined by large metallic walls standing tall around a fortress. While the castle seemed old, there was advanced technology intertwined in the building. Against the cold gray stone was crystal like accents lit up by icy blue lights. The spires at the top of the towers were scanners that could sense portal formations, and other disturbances. In many places around the campus, there were small cameras monitoring entrances and places of importance. By all means, this was a fortress.Well I should be safe here, based on what I have seen so far, Aria thought.
"Welcome miss Knight, I'm here to guide you to your classroom. My name is Clarice Vernon but you can call me Clara. I am the academic advisor here at the academy. Now please follow after me."
Clara was a tall middle aged lady with shorter black hair in a bob style and sharp facial features. She approached Aria and after introductions, she started to make her way through the grounds in front of the castle.
Aria followed behind her listening to Clara as she provided information about the school and how things will proceed with her classes.
"This is a top class academy with highly advanced facilities meant to train awakened youth. You will be taking residence in the dormitory building for 2nd years, which you can access using your student ID. You can get a customized student ID after classes from the admin office near the entrance of the main building."
She continued. "You have been sent your weekly class schedule already, so if you have any questions regarding it or need a change; please bring that up with the Administration desk."
The two of them toured around the main building which was like a maze. They passed through cobblestone hallways lined with beautiful furniture and decorations, that seemed to come from a different century. Intricate carpets layed upon the floor in every corridor. Once again technology was infused into the ancient architecture. Computer screens were found almost everywhere. And security cameras hid in the corners. Robotic cleaners, and drones occupied the main areas taking care of menial tasks.
Clara showed Aria where all of her regular classes will take place such as the arena, the VR simulation room, and training rooms. The scale of everything was off the charts.The campus was composed of many seperate buildings, all for various purposes. Aria was certain she would get lost at some point.
Finally Clara stopped before a closed wooden door.
"Our last stop is your homeroom classroom. This is where you will start with your classes every morning. Professor Hodgens is your homeroom teacher, so please direct anymore questions about your coursework to him. Now one more thing before you enter."
Aria was overwhelmed by everything so far, but listened to the best of her abilities.
"I looked over your file and discovered you are an F-rank awakener. I don't wish to alarm you but please be careful. I have nothing against low ranks, and I hope you can learn plenty during your time here."
"Thank you Ms Clara, for everything. I will be sure to study hard while I'm here."
Aria smiled as she thought Clara was someone with a good heart. Clara nodded before she proceeded to knock on the door of the classroom. A few seconds later, a older gentleman opened the door.
