Chapter 1 - Chapter 1

Immortal Realm

In a domain where darkness manifested in absolute form, two white orbs suddenly emerged, bringing light and a faint hope to those whose senses had long been suppressed within that nefarious and dangerous territory. Shortly after, a sound echoed:

Crack.

As if the firmament itself could no longer endure the substance sustaining space, violent tremors tore through the domain, ushering in the end of a possible era.

'My Dao has come to an end.'

That was the immortal's final thought before being swallowed by the translucent river that emerged from the fissures opened within the darkness.

Mortal Realm — Skyr Continent — Region XXX — City XXX

Inside a simple wooden house, situated in an ordinary village, a prostitute sacrificed the last remnants of her life to sustain the birth of her child. Given the dire conditions, the delivery was nothing short of a miracle, considering the mother's malnourished body now hovering on the brink of death.

Moved by sorrow at the woman's desperate struggle to grant life to her son, the midwife decided to take the child to the village's small orphanage — a place created to shelter the orphans left behind by the constant wars that plagued the mortal world.

Eight Years Later

A deep breath.

Then, a sudden shock.

The boy awoke among other children, clutching his chest in a state of intense agitation. His memories surged forth like a river without banks, and his soul, dormant until then, sublimated. Only because of this was he able to withstand the weight of thousands of years of memories from his previous life.

'I succeeded… I wasn't certain reincarnation would work. After all, the Domain of Reincarnation is one of the universe's great taboos.'

Closing his eyes to examine his body, Sai observed his new form: short, straight blond hair; dark eyes, deep as ripe plums.

'Basic talent in all five elements… it could have been worse.'

With a simple movement of his hands, the heavens stirred, manifesting auspicious signs above the small village.

'With this, the karma of my birth is settled. Now, what truly matters is establishing a new Dao.'
