Lydia was at work as usual, but she did her best to avoid Merrick. She even had her assistant handle the work reports.
"Sister Lydia, it's the end of the day. You can leave first. I'll take the remaining documents to the secretary's office," her assistant, Charlotte, said considerately.
"Alright, I need to pick up my child, so I'll head out now," Lydia replied.
As Lydia walked out of the office and reached the lobby on the first floor, she unexpectedly ran into Kellan, who was also leaving.
Kellan glared at Lydia with anger, but Lydia, after meeting his gaze, chose to calmly look away.
"Stop. What are you doing here?" Kellan called out to Lydia, but she didn't stop. She didn't want to argue with him at the office, nor did she want to leave a bad impression on her colleagues.
"Lydia…" Kellan called out again, chasing her all the way to the parking lot before finally catching up to her.
"Kellan, I'm a con artist. You'd better stay away from me to avoid being tricked again."
