Lydia was resolute, and it seemed no one could change her mind. Without this determination, she wouldn't have made it through all these years.
"Grandpa, huh? You say it so smoothly. Do you know what calling him Grandpa really means?"
Merrick's voice was cold, but a mocking smile tugged at the corner of his lips.
It seemed this woman was truly determined. Not only had she gotten close to Geoff, but now she was trying to get close to his grandfather as well. Impressive.
"Don't change the subject. The butler is right here with me. If you don't want to talk to him, I'll take him to see Grandpa."
Lydia didn't want to waste another word on this arrogant man. His icy demeanor made her fear she might freeze just by talking to him.
