Chapter 22 - borrowed warmth

Meanwhile, at home, Lydia was advising Belinda, telling her not to interfere in her matters with Kellan.

"I told you, Lydia, stop nagging. Kellan came to see me, and I didn't say a word. I won't say anything in the future either."

Belinda sat on the couch, clearly annoyed by Lydia's constant nagging.

"Good, you better not have said anything. I want nothing to do with people like them. They teamed up to set me up and then had the nerve to blame me. People like that have no moral compass, and I need to stay far away."

Lydia's voice was filled with anger. To her, Kellan and Desiree weren't even worthy of being called scum.

"Lydia, it's also possible that Kellan was deceived by Desiree," Belinda suggested.

"Even if that's the case, it doesn't change anything. He claimed to love me but chose to believe someone else without even giving me a chance to explain. What kind of love is that? What use is a man like that?"

Lydia spoke with determination, her face clouded with anger.
