Perspective Doctor Despair
Suddenly a small yellow orb with a werewolf carved on it shattered shaking the many orbs around it.
"Looks like your little pet failed Despair." Said a feminine voice of what looked like an elven women in a cloak wearing a smiling mask.
"Deadly Desire do I need to remind you that you and I are same in rank by name only." A male voice of a male elf wearing the same cloak but with a crying mask said.
"That doesn't matter clearly your little pet project won't get another shot to kill the other worlders till they arrive at least a few dozen miles from land." Desire said voice dripping with distaste.
"Perhaps but I have plenty of pets made from birds bears and even sharks one wolf means nothing even if it has a soul colour." Despair said before walking back to his laboratory to make more monsters.
"Yes but unlike you I have those under my charm at least one per boat on some even seven not to mention all the golem charms each can bring. I'll admit that may only slow them down if they could kill a werewolf with a soul colour but that will be enough considering my other pets are keeping Kiarra busy." Desire said.
"No plan for Blaire as usual though I can't say even my masterpiece could do much to that monster. Though I do have this just in case the werewolf failed." Despair said bringing out three red orbs.
"Oh my how kind of you Despair to give me three vm's I'll be sure to send them to my men should be enough to kill a few of the other worlders if they didn't have help." Desire said using her purple soul colour to force the orbs through many hundreds of miles. To the operatives that were on the first morning boat out of dragon stone knowing the other worlders would take that one if they had help.
Perspective Brycen Chace
"Morning everyone gets up we're going to miss our boat!" Sefton yelled waking us up we all got up thanked the inn keeper and left to catch the first boat out of dragon stone so early in the morning the sun hadn't even fully risen.
The walk was long and annoying the path was strange and had too many bends. But we reached the docks the large metal ships not unlike modern day ships just smaller, greyer in colour and with magical pulsating runes all over the outer surface.
"Okay that's pretty cool." Brycen said.
"Yes but be careful Deadly Desire a female elf of the same rank as Doctor Despair has plenty of agents and those under her charm at least a few are on this boat. So it wouldn't be surprising if most of those without unlocked soul colours got theirs over this two month boat part of our trip." Sefton said.
"Two months!" Austin said.
"What did you expect this is 5000 miles and it's a boat going across a sea of lava it's not going to be fast but we have no choice it's too long. Even for the trick I used to reach dragon stone so fast no-one has that much Dellanima other than those with seven colours." Sefton said.
"That's actually a really fair point." Jacklyn said.
"Well not like the journey is going to get shorter besides we need to do some training before we get to the human lands so we can more easily handle our training when we get to the capital." Pace said.
"Okay then forward we go." Max said walking onto the boat.
"How do these things even work?" Miss Agatino asked.
"Most of the runes absorb the Dellanima and heat from the lava and that's what the boat uses to move meaning almost no fuel is needed to actually run it making it a cheap way to transfer goods from the dragons land." Sefton said.
"I imagine it doesn't hurt that such a thing would also mean extra room for people and stuff to stay in making bigger journeys with more people not that hard." Carbry said.
"Yes now Carbry, Max and Pace I'll help you with your biggest current issues with your soul colours and we will work from there." Sefton said taking the three away for their training.
Perspective Austin Kenzie
"Having everyone that can use soul colours of training makes me feel a little uncomfortable about what to do if one of the agents of this Deadly Desire appears." Austin said.
"Agreed but whether or not we like it stuff like this will happen sooner or later and you saw what happened with Carbry seems being under pressure is the only way to awaken soul colour." Lina said having come to her own conclusions about what aided those with soul colours improve not that it wasn't obvious.
"She's right if any of us want our own soul colour this pressure is a minimum." Miss Agatino said practically forcing the words out not enjoying the fact that it seemed the easiest path to getting the very helpful and reassuring soul colours.
"T-their isn't anything w-we can do about it o-only hope it works when it's o-our turn." Tillie said.
"Okay then we are agreed even if we face problems no calling for help from those four so we can have hope of forcing out our own soul colours." Brycen said everyone simply nodded no-one particularly pleased about the requirement for feeling any amount safe in this madness.
Perspective Sefton Caleb
"You Carbry need to try and use your soul colour to sense enemies and Dellanima that is it's strong point it has the widest range on enemy sensing you can get. Even then it isn't perfect so practice on focus and making air bullets like the werewolf did. As for you Max all you need to do is work out most of the time Carbry and his physical is fine but yours is barley passing so improve that and work on your moves spare against Pace when he's free. As for you Pace the only advice I can give is to start meditation to try and get a hold of that Fey form other than that join Max on his work out your physical is worse than his your only passing because of your creativity." Sefton said deciding to start with simple easy things they could understand not relying on this worlds training methods speaking volumes to how good he was as a teacher.
"Yes teacher." They said in unison as Carbry started meditation and Max and Pace started to exercise when he got tired Pace started to meditate to work on getting in touch with his thin Fey blood so he could master his Fey form.
After that Sefton left the room focusing his energy on the rest of the crew making sure if any had signs of Desire and her charm on them so he would know who to look out for.
"Seems you've gotten more careful my old friends." Sefton said clearly he had an old former friendship with the two.
"If only you hadn't gotten so obsessed with that opportunity knowing the truth is nice but that cost is so high even if it was true it wouldn't be worth it." Sefton said thinking back to older days from long before he had even met Blaire or knew he existed.
"Perhaps I could have stopped this ended it all back then maybe if I had made the right choices you two wouldn't have gone down this dark path." Sefton said thinking about how Doctor Despair might have known with such accuracy when the other worlders would be summoned the werewolf had to have snuck on a boat.
"How could he know when the other worlders would be summoned so accurately even knowing they would be on dragon land is concerning enough. Perhaps moves in the shadows have already been made and more of her agents are on this boat than expected three at least considering." Sefton said well aware that Doctor Despair and Deadly Desire didn't have blessing that could so accurately predict that far into the future no-one did in fact.
"I knew this would be different but this seems excessive I wonder if the writers intervened early as well but so early this is suspicious." Sefton said thinking of every reasonable possibility he could think of.
Perspective Sundara Belial
"How interesting you wasted your first turn and yet you still survived the bear." A divine writer with the appearance of an old man growled.
"I may be third generation but I am not like my peers." Sundara said making his second move.
"Beginners luck no third generation could beat a second generation we know the game too well." The divine writer said making his own next move.
"That was not just luck boy." A young blonde man on a throne high above said with clear dislike for both parties.
"My apologies Lord Author I didn't mean to imply your game had luck with such a role." The old looking divine writer quickly said like his life depended on it.
"It matters not he has made his way through the lizard men too now focus on the game brat if you fail a third generation may yet do what you have not. Escaping his contract and if that happened all because you couldn't handle him the punishment can be imagined." The Author said.
"Of course my Lord." The old man said placing finally pulling put the werewolf then seeing it fail wasn't surprising but it was annoying to not kill even one where the lizard men had killed most of them.
"The only good move left for this stage is to luck bless how annoying." The old man said pointing a small film of clear Dellanima at three people on the ship.
Perspective Pace Tory
This is a little much two forms of train over and over again no breaks definitely pushing me hard. Perhaps while I meditate I should talk with Jay if anyone can help he's annoyingly my best option.
"Jay I need your help figuring out that Fey form." Pace said.
"I'll tell you this it's the limit of what we can do at that current moment before with the lizard men I could access it because I'm more in tune with the thin Fey blood we do have." Jay said.
"So with the werewolf that was all me?" Pace asked.
"Yup knowing what it felt like helped you force out a brief spell under high stress only as of now at least." Jay said.
"Well not super helpful but it points me in the right direction so it's a start thanks Jay." Pace said.
"Pace remember this as of current every time we use that we lose some of our lifespan it's mostly because of all the plastic in us the iron compared to the plastic is harmless." Jay said.
"I'll ask Sefton see what he can do it'll help if nothing else decrease how much life span we lose until we master it." Pace said after that I broke my meditation and woke up.
"Sefton I need your help pushing the stuff in my body out specifically anything you sense that would be more harmful than iron using that state with all the plastic is shortening my lifespan the iron doesn't do much in comparison." Pace said.
"Of course hold still this will hurt." Sefton said using water to find the plastic and force it out of my body even using healing on me. I can feel it in my bones that did a lot not only did it mean my Fey form hurts my lifespan less and I'm physically healthier not much else changes but it's a good step in the right direction.
"Not much but definitely a step in the right direction maybe do that with everyone it should help at least a little." Pace said going back to exercise.
"I think I will if it helped you this much." Sefton said looking at the pile of plastic seeing that even if those with denser Fey blood existed they couldn't survive so much toxic elements so Pace was definitely the best in either world.
