Chapter 7 - Chapter 7

Perspective Pace Tory

"Lizard die!" Pace screamed waking up out of nowhere.

"Oh hey your up sweet." Kiarra said grabbing Pace's hair.

"Do it again that was so cool." Kiarra said.

"Do what again also who are you what's going on and where did this carriage come from?" Pace asked truly confused.

"Names Kiarra the old elf driving this thing is Sefton and the big massive thing you see pulling it is my master his name is Blaire." Kiarra said.

"Didn't answer all my questions but I'm putting the pieces together you saved us and we are all not dead thanks to you." Pace said.

"He's quick this one." Sefton said a little impressed.

"Still only mediocre as far as I'm concerned." Blaire said his deep voice reverberating like anything he said was a fact by nature.

"Regardless for having awakened his soul colour so recently he did do rather well against that lizard man considering the power gap." Sefton said.

"You know I was just going to ask what exactly is the power system like the attributes and that jazz." Pace said looking around him seeing just how few of them their were left alive after what the lizard men did.

"Long story short the colour defines your attributes blue is water and lightning red is body and fire yellow is wind and light. That kind of stuff and for someone so weak your Dellanima is very high. Oh right your Dellanima is the word we use for soul power." Blaire said like it was completely ordinary info.

"Dellanima but that's just the Italian word for soul that is... a strange coincidence. Wait what about the other colours I know their are more the lizard man had orange." Pace said a little more suspicious.

"Orange is mind and soul green is healing and time purple is emotions and space and brown is special it has three earth metal and gravity." Kiarra said quickly answering his question.

"Okay I can assume how talent is graded by initial colour primary is lowest secondary comes second and tertiary comes first. What about having multiple what does that mean?" Pace asked questions they had answered to the others while he was unconscious.

"It means they are true awakened talent determines how many colours you can get but those with primary talent even in the human race have reached three colours before though they are rare." Blaire said a hint of respect in his voice for the rare few.

"Yeah the only races where the primary talents can get all seven soul colours are dwarves, elves, dragons, fey and the monster races that live 200 years or longer. However those that can do so are rare incredibly so even I couldn't do so and I was quite the impressive talent in my time." Sefton said.

"Okay cool but I would also learn about this world's history I imagine the others already told you we come from another world." Pace said.

"They didn't have too not the first time this has happened this is actually going to be the fourth well the third if we don't include that old mystery." Blaire said.

"Long story short the first great cataclysm was 5000 years ago but no-one remembers what happened even all records of before that time don't exist. We know the sunken continent was destroyed then and that two species lived their but not what even the ruins from which the runes and rune technology originates. Even all the few dragons that where from before that time that would have lived and seen everything remember none of it." Sefton said.

"After that 3000 years passed then beings from another world appeared to help stop a coming second cataclysm they succeeded but the fey and monster continents where destroyed." Kiarra continued.

"After that it happened a third time with the third great cataclysm that was only 500 years ago and in that one the elven dwarven and even human continents were all destroyed." Sefton said.

"That's insane... so what continents remain and what remains of the destroyed continents?" Pace asked.

"Only the orc and dragon continents remained but a third of the dragon continent was destroyed in the third cataclysm while the orc's only got a massive and deep ravine along with a waterfall and river." Sefton said clear envy from just how little damage the orc continent had even after three cataclysms.

"Other than that the monsters stayed in this world and were more or less all slain or sealed using discovered rune technology from after the third cataclysm. As for the fey all the survives used a great power to help the only surviving hero from the second great cataclysm so find a new home in that other world." Kiarra said finishing the story.

"As for what remains of the destroyed continents only the sunken continent destroyed in the first great cataclysm have we even been able to find anything the others were not so lucky." Blaire said a serious tone to his voice.

"Nowadays all that remains of the other continents is ash and no matter what magic we use it can never be healed so the survivors from the humans dwarves and elves all moved. To the third of the dragon continent that leaves the destroyed third between them and the dragons. After all dragons have a lifespan of 10,000 years so they have hardly any left all that remains of their race are half breeds and the few truly powerful ones." Sefton said a look of grief in his eyes.

After that I understood why their was such a great silence judging from the way things had gone before our being here meant a fourth was coming. So the atmosphere was reasonable and to be honest I joined the despair rather quickly believing we were probably doomed.

"But good news brats you got what is probably the last Fey blood in either world with us and he's pretty talented." Blaire said trying to raise our spirits.

"Yes your name is Pace right? Congrats on awakening your Fey blood." Sefton said.

"I'm sorry my what now?" Pace asked.

"Your Fey blood your the Fey blood probably the last one with Fey thick enough in your veins to even wield Fey abilities." Kiarra said.

"I'm sorry I'm part Fey how much Fey?" Pace asked.

"Not sure but it isn't much no more than an eighth at best." Sefton said with minimal confidence.

"I'm sorry what the hell I'm part Fey that is!... Actually it explains a lot." Pace said.

"Hey can you do that hair thing again that was so cool." Kiarra said.

"What hair thing?" Pace asked.

"It's called soul glow out of all the races the Fey where naturally closest to the soul and their hair glows the colour of whatever soul colours they are using if they are using the limit of their abilities." Sefton said clearly having met a Fey blood.

"Are their any other Fey blood here or was what you said true?" Pace asked.

"Yeah sorry kid the few Fey blood left on our side died out in the third cataclysm other than the sealed monsters and a few other old dragons you are one of only a handful full with the potential needed to beat the writers." Blaire said hate in his voice when he mentioned the writers.

"The writers are like gods to us only killable to those from the other world when they become strong enough and thankfully every now and again you have a chance at getting a divine writers blessing." Sefton said.

"A divine writers blessing what is that?" Pace asked.

"Basically the writers have beings above them that's why they are fighting and to give the mortals a fair chance to stop them and send them back they send you guys and they sometimes visit you to give blessings." Sefton answered.

"Okay that makes some sense what about why they are fighting?" Pace asked.

"Basically it's for a chance to become a divine writer themselves rather than the play things of the divine writers much like how we are their play things." Blaire said speeding up the carriage in his anger.

"Oh right almost forgot Dellanima is also how we measure power we use numbers of Dellanima to tell your power think of Dellanima like a language and the soul colour as a force making all said reality." Sefton said.

"Oh okay cool so tell me more about the numbers." Pace said trying to distract himself so the idea of all the pressure doesn't settle.

"Well usually you only get truly incredible increases when you gain another primary colour gaining other colours is negligible in comparison. Example if the limit of one soul colour is one which it is then having two means you got at least ten with a limit of 100-200 when you reach three. As for seven when you get all three primary colours you immediately boost to 1000 and the limit for even true Lords is 3500. As for true Lords they are rare once in a generation talents each race gets they usually only have three per race at a time. Though sometimes their are phenomenon's like this monster pulling the cart." Sefton said gesturing at Blaire making it clear he wasn't just a true lord but was somehow an elven true lord and an orc true lord at the same time.

"Wait seriously he's a true lord?" Pace said tone questioning.

"Not just a true lord the first we are aware of to come from being a hybrid you see its known even for pure bloods true Lords when young are fragile so for a hybrid they couldn't survive being one unless both sides were true lords." Sefton said showing that Blaire wasn't just strong but insanely so probably even for the true lords.

"Shut up old man we get it I'm special all a hybrid would get from dual true lord nature is being equal to one of the true lords of the dragons." Blaire said.

"That is true the dragon race is in a whole other playing field to the rest however Blaire over here isn't just blessed he's even more blessed beyond his nature as a true lord. To be honest wouldn't surprise me if even without being a true lord he would still probably be at the upper echelon of those few with seven soul colours. So when it comes to power always know the strongest living mortal is Blaire only one compares and even that dragon fell short when it mattered." Sefton said while Kiarra seemed shocked he had mentioned whoever that mystery dragon was.

"Old bastard I'll kill you dare to mention that pompous prick." Blaire said a terrifying aura of seven colours erupted his hate for that dragon on full display.

"Just giving a history lesson no need to get so stressed up you beat him and sealed him no." Sefton said it was clear even though he was vastly weaker than even Kiarra who seemed levels lower than Blaire that he simply wasn't afraid despite the power gap.

"I'll let it go this time but not again not around brats that haven't even been trained yet hell only two have awakened their soul colour. In fact let's make a bet if all those weaklings awaken their soul colour by the time you make it to human territory I'll let it go if not your dead." Blaire said no longer pushing the cart.

"Hey now calm down no need to make such a serious bet calm down." Pace said while the three immediately stopped all actions and just stared on in shock.

"Are you serious he's already gotten a visit from a divine writer." Blaire said clearly surprised.

"I'm just as shocked as you I'm sure none of us are using those high level techniques so he understands but he does." Sefton said equally shocked.

"That... Actually that does explain one thing like who that Sundara guy was." Pace said now understanding one of the more confusing mysteries.

"Not sure if that makes me happy or concerned... Regardless me and Kiarra will go ahead and jump to human territory make sure the four knights cult isn't moving to try and make the fourth cataclysm early." Blaire said as he went through a point that he had used purple soul colour to twist the space of so that he could jump to human territory in an instant.

"Who is the four knights cult?" Pace asked.

"Basically what it sounds like an apocalypse cult following the writers will to try and bring an early cataclysm or change how it happens so more die and the next one will be the last." Sefton said clearly hate and a hint of fear at the organisation.

"Of course." Pace said going to the back section where the others where.
