Chapter 3
Perspective Lina Catherine
I know I'm not supposed to write in this stupid book Pace started but who cares about what he thinks I need to write something. Besides when we all woke up today he seemed different somehow he was looking around everywhere must have had a bad dream. Regardless though I thought he didn't even dream he always says he never remembers his dreams. Doesn't matter though he's out again getting more food and water from the forest with the hunting and gathering team.
"Lina why are you writing in Paces diary thing? The whole point is that he decides who writes in his just use your own" Miss Agatino said.
"Well it's just that Pace is probably the only person in this group that would risk his life for this book if someone who wrote in it died." Lina said.
"Why might you say that?" Carbry questioned.
"It's just back in Primary School I knew him and Max and I got to say since then they have changed a lot. I mean I expected as much but Max just seems like a normal guy but Pace has grown so much he seems like a real leader someone who would risk his life to save something like this." Lina said.
"I see so it's because you honestly know somewhere deep down if anyone would risk their skin for a book if anyone who wrote in it died it would be Pace makes sense he does strike me as the type." Carbry said.
"... Yeah I mean think about it from my perspective some bit more we could all die any day any time here so I just wanted to feel like even if I die this will say I was here. So you know being able to believe in a guy would risk his skin for this book really helps me feel better." Lina said.
"Fair enough just don't use to many pages I have a feeling eventually that book may only have a few names still living to write in it." Miss Agatino said.
Perspective Vittoria Agatino
I decided to write something in the book again not exactly what I want to do because Pace will definitely read this but still. It's just weird I can't seem to feel that same fear from before I don't know why something about seeing such an over cautious guy like Pace sleeping just made me feel safer I guess. To be fully honest with my self I get it if anyone has a good chance of getting home and helping as many of us get home as possible it's Pace. I mean I remember when I met the kid he was writing about a similar situation as a little hobby so if anyone can handle this it's him.
"Hey Carbry am I a bad teacher." Vittoria said.
"No your a great teacher dealing very well with an impossible situation." Carbry said.
"It's just look at all the pressure we are putting on the hunting team let alone Pace and Max both of them have so much pressure on them because of me because I'm not good enough." Vittoria said.
"It's not your fault it's just a fact how much can one untrained women help a group of at least decently physical men that are what 18-19." Carbry said.
"I know that but still I know they are technically adults but come on why does Pace have to go he's about as physically capable as I am just younger and a guy." Vittoria said.
"It's fairness he's smart enough to know if the guy with all the crazy life risking ideas doesn't risk his skin on them it'll only make this worse on this front. You know it's actually me who should be the one wallowing in self pity I actually was well trained member of the army." Carbry said.
"No it's not your fault someone physically capable needs to stay behind in case a bear or something comes." Vittoria said.
"I know but still unlike you I'm actually trained and everything so it's different I know I can't help much because my prosthetic is loud so any animals would just know where we are. But still I'm a man an army man a good one too one of the best even." Carbry said.
"Still though your incredible here you've earned writing another entry." Vittoria said.
"Thanks." Carbry said.
Perspective Carbry Ulick
So I decided against my better judgement to try making another entry about anything I want. So I think I'll write about something odd I noticed Pace doing this morning when he woke up. First the fact he actually slept so long despite how stressed he clearly is and the more important one is how he looked around the cave. I remember in my longer missions we were always told the signs for if someone might need to be sent home. I have one thought about what Pace did this morning it's exactly like a textbook example of someone breaking mentally. The only part that irks me is who did it. Pace doesn't strike me as a greenhorn who would be having such serious problems so soon. More over the way he walks and talks even with all this pressure what has he been through to make him so strong mentally same question about that Max kid. But that doesn't matter much now I'll just ask him when he gets back.
But at that moment students from the hunting and gathering team ran into the cave.
"Bear! Theirs a bear!" Yelled one of them.
"What happened where's Pace and Max and what do you mean by bear?" Carbry asked keeping calm.
"When we where out getting more food and water we saw one very angry and aggressive bear so Pace and Max told us to run get help while they deal with it." Answered the student.
"Where in the forest show me I need to get them back here safe and sound." Carbry said.
"Follow me this way." The student said then running back with Carbry not far behind he was definitely the fastest and was sent to get the message to them while the others where just told to run.
Perspective Maximillian Titanius
About 20 minutes before the students arrived at the cave with the message about the bear.
"Pastry are you sure your okay you've been acting weird all day?" Maximillian asked.
"I'm fine Max I just need more sleep unsurprisingly I've been sleeping like crap ever since we got here." Pace said.
"Your clearly not okay did you have a bad dream or something just tell me you haven't kept a secret from me like this since." Maximillian said stopping himself halfway through.
"Since what Max since what go on say it." Pace said agitated.
"I'm just saying you've always been open told me everything and I don't want you to feel like your alone again not like back then never again." Maximillian said.
"Well too bad sucks to suck now doesn't it." Pace said as they both began to walk further and further ahead of the group.
"Pace come on please just tell me what's wrong I don't want to have to worry more about you than I already have been ever since we came here." Maximillian said.
"Oh so you don't want to wait for my answer well I'd love to say I don't know what that's like." Pace said.
"Pace come on that was years ago I was 8 how could I say something like that I lost..." Maximillian stopped himself for a moment then took a deep breath and continued. "It's just that we were both young and I don't think your made about waiting for me your mad because your still waiting for... for someone to come help us when they won't we only have ourselves and each other now." Maximillian said.
"I know I'm just sick and tired of waiting for one thing then another I am tired of waiting for something that will never happen no more waiting." Pace said getting close to yelling.
"Look Pace please just calm down what if you wake something up this place is still dangerous." Maximillian said.
"No I don't think so I am going to yell if I want to no more waiting for a dream that isn't even real!" Pace yelled at the top of his lungs when a very large and angry bear now showed itself.
"Bear! Run! Go tell the others we will keep it from following you!" Maximillian yelled.
Perspective Pace Tory
Ever since that weird dream with Sundara Belial I've been angry wait for this wait for that then it's just another terrible or worse a truth I can't handle just like back then. I looked around for him he wasn't their I was freaking out but I gained control again but regardless with surprise to no-one Max noticed. But that doesn't matter now I need to focus I need to help Max with the bear it's all my fault again just like back then.
It must have been 20 minutes of somehow surviving the bear just running jumping climbing and making sure the other can create distance then the bear gets attracted to the other because of their efforts. I can't handle this anymore no more waiting I'm not a kid anymore I am not waiting for him anymore. I am going to explode I don't care if this kills me. I don't care anymore as long as I don't have to wait for more pointless lies to crush or more even worse truth I'm going to kick this stupid bear.
Just like that this blue light began to bleed out of me like something in me had broken out and this ball of water formed at my leg I kicked it into the bears skull filling it with lightning.
"Did... Did I just kick a lightning into a ball of water right at a bears head." Pace said as the bear ran way because that definitely hurt a lot.
"Yeah I think you did what was that?" Maximillian questioned not even able to sound excited out of shock.
"I think I awakened my soul colour turns out it's blue and that comes with water and lightning." Pace said.
"Where did you hear that about soul colour?" Maximillian asked.
"I thought it was a dream about someone arriving to help us said he had a purple soul colour and specialised in the space half so I just assumed." Pace said.
"Yeah okay." Maximillian said.
"So what now?" Pace asked.
"I guess we just tell them the bear lost interest or we lost it somehow and I think it'd be best we don't mention the literal magic." Maximillian said sounding like he had aged a few years from still strong shock.
"Yeah okay fair enough... Want to see what I can do with this." Pace said.
"Absolutely." Maximillian said sounding like himself again.
"I wonder... Nope making something decent with just thinking is really hard maybe this okay dinner plate." Pace said and just like that a almost perfectly circular plate of water just appeared.
"We have super powers and magic this is awesome!" Maximillian yelled then taking deep breaths trying to calm down.
"I know how about this static shock." Pace said as a small ball of electricity just appeared in his hand he then couldn't help but fall to his knees and it disappeared.
"Hey are you okay Pastry you seem exhausted?" Maximillian asked.
"Yeah but seems using this magic is tiring as can be let's just keep using it for my training only I'm sure if we try we might be able to get you and others to awaken their soul colours." Pace said.
"That would be awesome man thanks... Oh right and I'm sorry about earlier it's just... you know." Maximillian said sounding genuinely sorry.
"Yeah it's okay your concern was reasonable but hey I have magic now but note to self water is way less tiring to just make then lightning." Pace said.
"Wait try to make something else." Maximillian said.
"Okay here goes fire, earth, air." Pace said with absolutely nothing happening.
"Must just be those two I can't use anything else wait how long has it been?" Pace asked.
"About five minutes." Maximillian answered.
"Okay well I feel exhausted so selling the idea shouldn't be too hard but still let's just have a sit." Pace said sitting down then falling to just be lying down drained beyond belief.
"I'm just gonna stay here for a minute or forever." Pace said panting all of a sudden.
"Note to self the exhaustion takes a minute to hit but man it hits like a truck." Pace said.
"We are here are you two... oh your both perfectly fine." Carbry said then they both followed him back and got told of by Miss Agatino for being so reckless.
