"Sakuraaaaa!! Sakuraaaaa!! Sa—ku—raaaaaa!!". Naruto Uzumaki screamed on top of his voice as he ran towards the gate of the village where Sakura Haruno Sasuke Uchiha and Kakashi Hatake stood waiting for him. He pummeled multiple times and struggled with the loads on his backpack, finally he arrived before them.
" Naruto, it looks like you are the one late this time.", Kakashi said, hinting that he wasn't late anymore.
Naruto breathed heavily for some time before replying. "Eh? Do you think you could fool us Kakashi sensei?".
Sasuke rolled his eyes at Kakashi as well suspecting something from him.
Sakura who was confused asked the men, " what's going on?".
Naruto chuckled, "Sakura, you didn't notice?"
"Notice what?" She asked.
"Kakashi didn't say anything, instead he looked at his team nonchalantly, like he always do.
Sasuke replied her, his eyes still at Kakashi's face. " Kakashi sensei here happens to be a fake, a shadow clone at that. And he really thought he could fool us."
Naruto and Sakura were surprised, "ehhhhhhh??!!!". They screamed.
Sasuke faced Naruto, " thought you knew?".
Naruto Chuckled, "I was going to say he changed his headband. But that works too..".
Veins appeared on Sasuke's face showing just how angry he is. He said to himself. " He didn't even notice at all!!!"
The actual Kakashi appeared behind Naruto with a short bag on his hand. "Hey, Naruto". His voice calm and eerie. Naruto screamed his heart out, attacking the Shadow clone with Rasengan.
Sasuke and Sakura disappeared from the motion and were seen far away from him, there was a huge hole that made a crazy impact on the soil.
Sakura shouted from far away. " WHY WILL YOU USE THE RASENGAN ON A SHADOW CLONS BECAUSE YOU ARE—ARE YOU CRAZY!!? I WILL KILL YOU IF YOU DO THIS AGAIN, NARUTO!!!".
More veins just appeared on Sasuke, and his face turned purple.
As they head out of the village, they walked silently on a slightly wide path surrounded by Forests. Kakashi led the way, followed by Sasuke and Sakura, then there was Naruto.
There was peace and quiet for some time until Naruto asked.
"Kakashi sensei.."
"Yes, Naruto." Kakashi replied.
"Where are we heading?". Naruto asked again.
The rest who were also having the same question on their minds became attentive to what Kakashi was about to say.
" We are heading to a village attacked by rogue ninjas from the sound village. They happened to need our help."
Sakura asked after hearing this, "ehh?! Kakashi sensei, isn't this supposed to be a C ranked mission? I mean, you are the Hokage and Naruto and Sasuke had become very strong for a mission like this. So why us?".
Naruto agreed by nodding his head like a ragdoll while sasuke also agreed by looking at her.
Kakashi rubbed the back of his neck with his left hand, " This happened to be A ranked, Sakura. Yes just as dangerous as Pain's attack and the fourth ninja war. "
The atmosphere changed instantly, Sasuke's eyes widened instantly and it is not even hidden that they are very shocked by the statement. Naruto couldn't move from that spot as well as the rest. They were consumed by fear and Trauma. The memories of the incident flowing through their heads. It was a cold evening in Konoha but here, out here. They are feeling a very strong heat from within.
