Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: Ninja Art: Blinding Dog Eyes!

"Konoha's White Fang? Ooh, how terrifying~"

Yagyu glanced sideways at the surrounding Leaf ninja, screaming in an exaggerated manner that perfectly mimicked Admiral Kizaru from the world of One Piece.

"Yagyu, be serious! The White Fang isn't someone we can handle lightly. We are in grave danger."

Terumi Mei warned him with a solemn expression, feeling a sense of despair at their current predicament.

The reason was simple: the man surrounding them with his troops was none other than Sakumo Hatake, Konoha's White Fang. He was a renowned Kage-level powerhouse, and his White Light Chakra Sabre had slaughtered countless experts.

Even the high command of Kirigakure had issued a standing order: if you encounter the White Fang during a mission, you are authorized to abandon it immediately.

"This is the era of the Third Great Ninja War. What are ninja from the Hidden Mist doing here in our Land of Fire?"

The White Fang stood in front of his troops, staring coldly at Yagyu and his team.

"We're on a mission, of course! You Four Great Ninja Villages are fighting so passionately on the mainland, it made us feel a bit uneasy staying on our islands. So, we just came to take a peek at the situation,"

Yagyu replied nonchalantly. Even while surrounded by enemies, he appeared completely at ease.

"If that's the case, then there is nothing left to discuss."

The White Fang waved his hand, and the Konoha ninja immediately shifted into combat stance.

"Ooh, give me a break~ I came here with such a relaxed mindset. How about we just pretend none of this ever happened?" Yagyu said with a cheeky grin, looking entirely cynical and unserious.

The White Fang's face remained cold; he clearly had no intention of letting them go. In an instant, the swarm of Konoha ninja lunged toward them.

"Can't be helped then. Infinite Light!" "Ninja Art: Blinding Dog Eyes!"

Yagyu pursed his lips, and suddenly, his body erupted with boundless golden light.

It was as if Yagyu had transformed into a sun, with infinite radiance blooming from his very being.

The Konoha ninja, who had been staring at him intently like predators, were instantly hit by the intense glare. They clamped their eyes shut in agony, suffering significant damage to their vision.

"What kind of Ninjutsu is this?"

The White Fang was shocked. This technique was terrifying.

If used on a large-scale battlefield, it would effectively destroy the enemy's vision. Meanwhile, allies with their backs to the light would remain unaffected. It was a strategic-level technique of immense power.

He must be eliminated!

The White Fang made up his mind, closing his eyes to sense Yagyu's position.

His assassination techniques were top-tier, and he possessed a formidable talent for sensory perception. Even without his eyes, he could pinpoint Yagyu's location.

The White Fang moved. In a split second, he appeared right beside Yagyu, his chakra-infused white blade slashing mercilessly.

Whoosh.

The sensation of the blade hitting nothing but air made the White Fang's expression change.

In his sensory perception, the strike had definitely hit Yagyu.

"Ooh, how scary~ The White Fang... you really are a monster." "But light cannot be cut. Now... it's my turn."

Yagyu spoke lazily as he raised his long leg. A cross-shaped flash of golden light materialized at his heel.

"Speed is weight. White Fang... have you ever been kicked at the speed of light?"

The golden cross-flash spun rapidly as he delivered an unceremonious kick toward the White Fang.

Sakumo Hatake dodged in a panic. The beam of golden light shot out like a cannonball, striking a large tree nearby and snapping it clean in half.

"Retreat!"

The White Fang shouted a stern command, ordering all his subordinates to fall back.

Although the Konoha ninja had been temporarily blinded, they were facing away from Yagyu to avoid the glare, so they were still capable of escaping.

[Ding! Achievement Unlocked: Repelled Konoha's White Fang.][Template Character: Kizaru – Unlock Progress: 11%]

Yagyu was not a native of this world; he was a transmigrator.

He had arrived in Kirigakure and become a civilian orphan. Initially, Yagyu had been somewhat dissatisfied with his starting location.

After all, the protagonists of this world belonged to Konoha; the Hidden Mist was merely a side character. Furthermore, judging by the timeline, it wouldn't be long before Obito Uchiha took control, turning the Mist into the "Village of the Bloody Mist" where comrades slaughtered one another.

Yagyu had felt hopeless about this future.

Fortunately, he awakened his

"Golden Finger"

—the God-level Imitation System. By mimicking others, he could unlock character templates.

Right now, he was imitating Borsalino, better known as Admiral Kizaru from the world of One Piece—a monster who wielded the power of the Glint-Glint Fruit (Pika Pika no Mi).

To unlock the Kizaru template, he had to mimic the Admiral's personality and behavior in daily life.

However, daily mimicry only provided small gains. Mimicking him during significant events yielded the greatest achievements and increased the unlock percentage drastically.

Just like now—by imitating Kizaru while repelling the White Fang, his progress bar had jumped significantly.

"Yagyu, should we chase them?"

Terumi Mei looked at Yagyu with excitement. She hadn't expected the usually cynical slacker to possess such power.

"Let's not~"

"I came here with a relaxed mindset, you know? I don't do troublesome things like that,"

Yagyu drawled nonchalantly. The

"salted fish"

(slacker) mentality was the core of what he needed to imitate.

"What a waste of a good opportunity..."

Ao, his other teammate, was agitated. He felt they could have gained a lot from this encounter.

"The White Fang can't do anything to me, but it's also impossible for me to kill him. Most importantly... I can't guarantee your safety."

Yagyu's expression became much more solemn. He actually cared quite a bit about these two teammates.

They had been together for several years, and the bond built over time was no joke.

Although he mimicked Kizaru, it didn't mean he was Kizaru. Mimicking was just a form of training for him; he did it when he felt like it.

"Our mission was merely to scout the situation. Encountering the White Fang marks the end of that mission,"

Yagyu yawned lazily, speaking with indifference.

He had to admit, Kizaru's style was quite likeable. Possessing overwhelming power while maintaining a slacker's attitude made for a very stress-free life.

"Alright! We encountered the White Fang; that is more than enough intelligence to report back."

Terumi Mei nodded, and the three of them began their return to the Mist's frontline base.
