Early in the morning, in the uchiha part of the village, specifically in a large house on the far East side
Uchiha yoruichi:
"Huff... Huff... Huff... Huff"
The sound of my training filled the entire training Hall of my private compuond.
I was currently shirtless with a rock the size of my entire torso on my back, doing pushups. Sweat dripped from my forehead, and my muscles seemed on the verge of tearing. But my facial expressions did not match the strain on my body– it was serene, as if I were listening to some beautiful music.
"496... 497...498...499...500! "
With a great heave, I got up and tossed the boulder to the side. It fell with a huge *thud* cracking the ground under it.
"Haa... I'm done with training for today. "
With slow, trembling steps I made my way over inside my house and collapsed onto the floor. My muscles were aching and trembling, yet the bright smile on my face didn't leave.
If someone were to look at me, they never would have been able to tell that I was 9 years old. I was pretty tall for my age, not to mention the sculpted and defined physique I was carrying. Along with the standard uchiha package of a handsome face, black eyes and long black hair reaching past my shoulders, it would be pretty normal to mistake him for a 12 or 13 year old.
3rd person pov:
He recovered very quickly, the trembling of his muscles relaxing as he felt the fatigue drain away at an astonishing pace.
Yoruichi stretched his limbs, producing a satisfying *pop* sound before relaxing and looking around lazily.
'I should go take a bath and get to the academy. It is 'that day' after all. '
After a quick bath and change of clothes, he was walking down the streets of the uchiha compound,with his hands in his pocket and that same lazy look on his face.
"Hey, Yoruichi! You on your way to the academy? "
"That's right uncle yu. "
"Ah Yoruichi, you're out early. Take this apple as a gift why don't you"
"Thanks aunty. "
"Ah Yoruichi boy!... "
On his way down the street, he was greeted by everyone he passed. Old, young or middle aged, everyone stopped to say hi to him.
It was quite easy to tell that he had a pretty great reputation in the uchiha clan, probably because he was a rising star in the clan.
As he made his way out of the uchiha clan compound while mjnching on an apple, a sigh escaped his lips.
He was a transmigrator. After dying on earth at a young age 9 years ago, he had reincarnated here, in his favorite manga and tv series, the world of naruto.
Initially, when he learned he was an uchiha, he was horrified, thinking he would have to get past that Brainwashed madman itachi uchiha during the uchiha massacre.
Turns out, that was not the case. He was currently in the second great shinobi war, which had recently begun a few months ago.
A year younger than minato, who was actually his classmate.
Currently, he was headed for the academy to attend his early graduation exam. Him and most of his classmates and all the clan kids had opted for an early graduation.
As soon as he stepped into the academy, he noticed the small crowd on the training field and quickly hopped over. Surrounding a chunni instructor, was various clan heirs and a lot of his classmates. Many familiar faces. Especially...
"Yoruichi, you came! "
He turned to the source of the youthful voice to find minato walking towards him. From the corner of his eye, he caught kushina observing them, though she realized he saw her and quickly turned away.
That got a chuckle from Yoruichi.
"Yo, Minato. So you did come after all. "
"Did you think I wouldn't? " He responded with a smirk
"Of course. Who wouldn't be intimidated by this great master? " I pointed to myself in an exaggerated manner.
"Everyone who is present here, it seems"
Yoruichi acted like he hasn't heard minato's remark and confidently smiled, showing of his perfect teeth.
"Don't worry minato. This is gonna be a walk in the park. "
Minato shook his head.
"Why would I worry? "
Just then our conversation was interrupted by the chunin instructor in the middle of the stage shouting out.
"Listen up you brats! This year's graduation exam has two parts. The demonstration part were you showcase your clone, substitution and transformation jutsu. The second half is the combat showcase, we're you will spar with me . Do you understand? Now get ready! I'll call your names one by one. "
And one by one, the examiner started calling out the names of the kids present here in an alphabetical order.
While he was doing that, Yoruichi fell deep into thought.
'*sigh*if only it was like in the show, where they'd just ask us to do a clone jutsu and be done with it. But it is understandable. This is during wartime, so they want to make their exams a bit tough, but not too tough so that they still have enough expendable fodder to throw at their enemy. '
As he was thinking, he was snapped out of his daydreams by the call of his name.
He quickly made his way to the centre of the training field, and the examiner looked at him with a bored look.
"Go on then" He said, waving his hand for Yoruichi to get on with the exam.
Yoruichi nodded his head and immediately performed all three basic E-rank jutsu in smooth succession. Now the boring part was over.
The examiner froze for a second, before nodding to him with approval.
"Good. You passed the first half. Now for the second. "
The chunin drew a kunai from his sleve and held it lazily before him.
"Don't hold back. "
A smirk formed at the corner of Yoruichi's mouth.
Until now, most of the examinee's had only used basic taijutsu or shurikenjutsu, mostly because they didn't know any jutsu or just weren't proficient enough in them to use them in battle.
'Throw kunai? How 'bout I throw these hands instead? '
Immediately Yoruichi formed a single seal for body flicker, rushing forward.
Surprise appeared in the examiner's eyes as he tensed immediately and held his kunai at the ready. Yoruichi appeared next to him and threw a kick.
He tested the young boy, punching and slashing. The student blocked all of them with a little difficulty and threw a counter.
The chunin immediately blocked it with his forearm and attacked with his blade.
Yoruichi easily dodged down, his forehead touching the ground. A single black tomoe flickered into his now crimson eyes. He dodged to the side and punched out from below. The examiner blocked again, but it didn't matter.
Yoruichi grabbed some dirt with his other hand and tossed it at the man, blocking his sight. It was only a second, but it gave him enough time to cast a multitude of seals in a second.
(Fire release: Dragon fire jutsu)
A flame dragon erupted from Yoruichi's mouth, exploding towards the examiner.
He flipped over the dragon, managing to only singe his hair slightly and responded by throwing seven kunai at the boy.
Yoruichi weaved through the kunai with precision, his sharingan spinning wildly. He even caught three of them and threw them back all in a way that restricted the instructors vision.
The man was barely able to dodge, and was met with Yoruichi's fist closing in on his face.
"I win! "
Only for the examiners body to vanish in a puff of smoke.
Yoruichi's eyes widened in realization.
"A clone...? "
The chunin appeared behind him with his kunai at the ready.
"You're good kid. But you still need experience. " He said with a smirk.
The stunned Yoruichi's expression slowly twisted.
"Is that so? "
But the voice wasn't coming from the one in front of the examiner. That one had vanished in a puff of smoke as well.
The chunin examiners face twisted in disbelief.
"Impossible! "
He whirled around only to be met with a one tome sharingan and a one inch punch aimed at his heart.
"Looks like you fell for your own trick. "
The examiner's expression remained frozen for a second, before twisting though multiple emotions at the same time and ultimately settling on a resigned pride.
"I'll admit it, you got me. Well played brat. " He said with a Huff.
Yoruichi grinned arrogantly, withdrawing his hand and looking at him expectantly.
"You pass kid. With flying colors. "
The surrounding children who had witnessed this entire fight had their jaws on the ground.
They had just witnessed an academy student defeat a chunin!
At the examiners words, they broke out of their stupor and quickly made way.
And they weren't the only ones.
In the Hokage building, Sarutobi Hiruzen sat before his telescope viewing orb with a smile on his face while smoking his pipe.
"It's seems there's a new rising genius in konoha... "
He observed Yoruichi's face for a while before slowly sighing.
"Uchiha Yoruichi huh... "
Back at the training ground, every child around him looked amazed, the clan heirs immediately noting down that they'd need to report this to their clan.
"That was amazing Yoruichi! You actually beat the examiner! "
Minato excitedly jumped in front of him like a rabbit.
"Told you it'd be a walk in the park. "
He did his level best to look nonchalant and walked past minato, put his hands in his pockets and leaned against a wall.
Minato just blankly looked at him and asked
"What are you doing?"
"Aura farming. "
"... What? "
*sigh*
Yoruichi shook his head with melancholy.
"You'll understand one day minato. "
'Well even if doesn't work on minato, it'll work on the others. ' he thought, glancing up at the awe struck and admiring gazes of the other kids.
'Not gonna lie, this... is a pretty good start. '
