Episode 1 – Admission
Rain lashed against the ambulance windows as Mira was rushed toward the hospital gates. The sound of sirens mixed with thunder until it was impossible to tell which was louder.
Inside, the air smelled of disinfectant and fear. The fluorescent lights flickered — once, twice — then steadied, but something in that brief darkness made the hallway feel wrong.
A nurse whispered to another, "She came from the old wing… no one should've been there."
Mira's stretcher rolled past the emergency doors. Her fingers twitched. She wasn't fully conscious, yet she could hear it — a sharp, distant scream echoing through the corridors. It sounded human, but not completely.
The doctors froze for half a second before pretending they hadn't heard it. Only Mira's eyes moved, following the sound deeper into the hospital.
The scream didn't fade. It lingered, as if waiting for her to answer.
