In the beginning, there was harmony between light and darkness.
Until love was born where it should never be — in the heart of a devil for an angel.
The heavens called it sin, and people called it forbidden, but they called it love.
When God learned of this, He feared that if they ever met, they would disrupt the balance of the universe.
So He tore apart reality and split it into two.
The angel lived within dreams, and the devil was cast among humans.
They both faced divine punishment, and their sin was love.
In their blessing, they received a curse
the angel could never leave the dream,
and the devil would forget her.
Even though they lived in different worlds,
their souls still sought one another.
