Let us see how far this devouring man can ascend. *** Originally, I wanted to write a Book Eating Magician fanfiction— But this Versatile Mage idea refused to leave my mind. So here it is: a reimagined tale of the Grimoire of Gluttony, Now reborn as Beelzebub, The hand that devours all, into a body of magician in versatile mage world. Chapter 1 - Reincarnation Realm

"No—No—NO!"

"I don't want to go! I won't be thrown into Berserk!"

'Another one…'

Looking at the soul of a man being dragged away by two demons, a young man standing a few steps away just shook his head in pity.

The entire place looked like a futuristic heaven—large rooms, a dark sky glowing under beautiful blue lights made up of advanced technology—but the design had an ethereal, medieval beauty with carvings in unknown languages.

The place looked unreal…

"Guess it's not called the Reincarnation Realm for nothing."

Damon muttered as he stood outside the giant room guarded by two demons wearing nothing but short pants.

Large, bulky humanoid figures with ogre heads, two horns protruding from their foreheads, held giant spears crossed before the entrance, restricting access.

"Next!"

A voice called from the other side of the door, causing the demons to look down at Damon's soul. They slowly uncrossed their spears, allowing entry.

"Go."

In a low, dangerous voice, one of them muttered, causing Damon to shrink back before bowing his head and stepping forward through the gates.

His body trembled as the demonic aura pressed down on him while he entered the room.

"Oh… let's see what we have here. Another soul from Earth—007, right?"

On the other side of the door was an office space designed in the same ethereal style—a giant golden table with a chair for Damon to sit in, facing the figure of an angel. A literal angel with white wings sat on the head chair.

"Come, sit. Damon Starfall, right? That's your name, isn't it?"

"Y-yes."

Nervously, Damon answered as he took his seat before the angelic figure. It was a male with blonde hair and blue eyes, giant white wings on his back, and a flawless, celestial face—a literal angel.

"Okay, standing in the queue for so long, you should have some idea what this place is."

The angel said as he flipped through the pages in his hand.

"Uhm… Age 21, death due to earthquake. A college student. Quite an early end, isn't it?"

Going through Damon's file, the angel set it down on the table and looked directly at the nervous young man.

"Alright, let's keep it short. As you know… you're dead."

"This is the Realm of Reincarnation. You've read a lot of novels, haven't you? You should know what this is—an idea, perhaps?"

"Yeah, it's the same as those reincarnation stories you've seen. Dying, meeting a ROB, all those clichés."

The angel's tone darkened.

"…But I ain't just any ROB," he said coldly, his voice detached. "This is a special corner of the Reincarnation Realm—only for creators, writers, authors, translators, and the like."

"A place created after the Lord's displeasure toward your works."

"To punish those who wrote nonsense, idiotic plots, and made their characters suffer."

"This place is for people like you—the writers. You'll be reincarnated to live the life of the main character you created to suffer."

"You will experience the agony your protagonist endured."

The angel leaned back, giving Damon time to process what he had just heard. Damon sat frozen, mouth slightly open, blinking blankly before managing to speak.

"…What?"

"I just explained everything. Gosh, you humans are so hard to deal with. Can't even understand the basics."

"N-no, wait. I don't mean the reincarnation thing—but what do you mean by calling me here? I'm not a writer!"

The angel raised a brow before glancing down at Damon's file again.

"'Devouring Mage: A Versatile Mage Fanfic.' Two chapters… See? You wrote this."

Looking at the file, Damon finally recalled his old days—when he had once tried to write a fanfic of his own.

Uploaded on a small webnovel platform, Damon, inspired by *The Book Eating Magician* and *Versatile Mage (Quanzhi Fashi)*, had once decided to create his own story—a fusion of grimoires and magic.

"See? This is clearly your work. Don't worry too much. You'll be reincarnated as the main character. The Reincarnation Realm's motto is for you to experience what your protagonist did."

"If he experienced suffering, you'll share his pain. But if he enjoyed pleasure, you'll share that too."

The angel smiled as he called for the demons to escort Damon out.

"W-what? But how? I mean—there are only two chapters in the book! What happens after that?"

"Oh, don't worry. Since it's a fanfic, after two chapters it'll follow the original storyline. Just enjoy it. You wrote an overpowered protagonist, even if it was only for two chapters. You'll be fine."

The angel said as the demons entered the room—two red giants with bulging muscles radiating a demonic aura that made Damon flinch and jump back in terror.

Looking at the angel with trembling lips, Damon stammered out his final words.

"W-why?"

The angel simply smiled and said,

"Have you heard of Gege?"

"…"

"…"

"…You're doing a great job," Damon muttered weakly before the demons grabbed him by each arm and dragged him away, ignoring his futile resistance.

"May the God's light be with you," one demon growled. The words, though meant as a blessing, sounded far more like a threat.

And that was the last thing Damon ever heard before being sent into the world of magic.

The world of Versatile Mage!
