Synopsis
She was once the Supreme Goddess of the Heavens—protector of the realms, wielder of the divine sun, and a beacon of justice. But power makes even gods hunger, and love can blind even the wisest. ☆ The one she trusted, the one she secretly loved, betrayed her in the cruelest way. On the day of their union, he stole her God Seal, butchered the divine realm, and chained her in blood and lies. Her last memory was of flames, screams, and the laughter of the Demon God as he destroyed everything she swore to protect. But death was not her end. From scattered soul and broken light, she was reborn—her power diminished, her heart scarred, but her will unshaken. This time, she will not be the naïve goddess who gave her heart to a serpent. This time, she will rise from the ashes of betrayal, hunt down the Demon God who ruined her, and reclaim the Heavens themselves. Yet the path of vengeance is never walked alone. Beside her stands the Lonely God, a man cursed to vanish in seven years, who sacrifices everything to shield her. Cold as ice, yet burning with a hidden devotion, he may be the one love she never expected… or the final heartbreak she cannot endure. To conquer the Demon Realm, she must survive forbidden trials, endure thunder tribulations, and awaken her Godhood anew. To save the realms, she must shatter the chains of the past. And to protect the man who silently bleeds for her, she must defy fate itself. ☆ Rebirth. Vengeance. Forbidden love. Her story is not of a fallen goddess… but of one reborn to avenge the heavens.

Chapter 1 - A Love Like Mine

Seven powerful thunder strikes tore the God Realm apart. Fire fell down like rain on the lower realms as two entities fought in the celestial space until their last breaths.

The matching wedding garments on them were torn and stained with their blood and covering multiple injuries. Without her God Seal and most of her powers gone, the devil that betrayed her seemed to have the upper hand in this war.

She conjured her power again to shield herself from his cursed power.

The devil grinned when he saw the light of her powers dwindling and losing its effects. She was running out of her spiritual strength and it would take just one more blow to end the queen of the heavens for good.

Tears built up strongly in her eyes as she uses all her strength to withstand the burning heat of his powers. She wasn't staring at the world falling apart around them but at the face of the immortal she once loved and gave a second chance.

The multiple blades he had pierced her with hurt less than the knife of betrayal he drove into her heart.

Her tears streamed down her face and fell among the collapsing stars beneath her.

Cangmo.

She said bitterly as she reached the stage where she could no longer fight. All her God vessels had been brutally severed, her spiritual veins blocked and her life line was reaching its end.

The faces of all the Gods that fell and died because she chose the wrong person haunted her. She wished she had listened to them when they told her she was making a big mistake.

Her entire body shook as it reached its limits.

''Ah!!!'' Multiple shockwaves ruffled her opponent and the celestial space around them as she forced out more of her powers.

Even though it was obvious she would die at his hands, she was not going to make it easy for him.

''Yuerong,'' the devil called, channeling all his cursed moon powers at her and her shield. ''Why don't you accept defeat?''

''If you stop fighting and submit to me, maybe I might spare you the shame of dying as a God.''

Yuerong smiled at his crazy talk as blood trailed down the side of her chin.

''Join me and let's conquer the four realms together. Every knee will bow at the sound of our names. We will be invincible and rule the four realms as only a demon should.''

''The demon realm would have supreme power and there will be none who would rise against us.''

''Cangmo,'' she spat out as her shield began to thin out and more blood spilled out from her mouth. ''You have lost your mind.'' Her voice cracked as the pain of her injuries was unlike anything she had felt before. The goddess placed her hand on her bleeding chest, eyes closed as a tear rolled down her pale cheeks.

The demon paused from his attacks as he stared at her pitiful form.

''Cangmo,'' she began softly as she was gradually nearing her end. But there was one thing she wanted to know before she died. She opened her eyes to stare at his demonic form and asked, ''Have you ever once loved me?''

The silence that followed was the most intense. It was like the crumbling world around them paused to listen to the demonlord's answer as they stared at each other.

''Love?'' Cangmo repeated as if it was the strangest word in his vocabulary. Memories of their days together in the immortal realm as best friends, their memorable time spent training hard at the Red central tower haunted him.

The moments she stood up for him when the Gods rose against and criticized him. How happy she was when he lied that he loved her.

The demon king's eyes darkened as a dark aura rose and clouded around him.

''If love would be the reason that will hold me back from becoming a God, then…'' The dark aura slowly materialized into a long, sharp spear brimming with evil energy and resentment. ''...I must end it.''

Yuerong gasped as the spear pierced through her ribs and straight for her bleeding heart. The goddess's hands fell apart as blood gushed out from her mouth.

The pain she felt was indescribable.

If someone told her years back that their lively, pure hearted Cangmo would be the cause of her death and the destruction of the God realm, she would have never had the heart to believe it.

Everything still felt like a nightmare to her and she wondered how it all went wrong between them.

How her Cangmo degenerated to this heartless devil who talked down on love like it was some affliction.

The devil used his powers to pull the spear out of her body and watched as she fell to her death.

Her arms spread wide as she fell beside burning stars.

''Cangmo,'' she whispered as she fell to her death. ''You will never find a true love like mine.''

If there will be a second life for Gods like me, I will find you.

Her eyes closed as she took in her last breath.

And I will kill you.

The supreme God of the God realm fell like one of the burning stars from celestial space. The star shared mountains in its path and raced across the seas with fury. The star traveled across the four realms, breaking into tiny pieces before scattering all around the dark murky swamps of the third immortal realm.

The group of immortals by the swamp all scattered in fear as the broken star burned hotly and stained the swampy rivers with blood.

He meditated before her golden statue. His eyes closed in deep concentration as his long, white hair with visible hints of red at the tips blew softly with the wind.

He has been sitting before her statue for one hundred days without moving. Nourishing it with his powers.

Outside of the Red Central Tower, one of his disciples hurried up the stairs, breathing heavily as he entered the golden room in which his master has been in seclusion for some time now.

The disciple fell to his feet and bowed his head to the ground before his master.

''Master, a broken purple star had just fallen into one of the swamps of the third immortal realm, contaminating the river with blood.''

His eyes fluttered open as they fell on his disciple.

A purple star…

Broken…

Blood…

His disciple slowly raised his head a bit to lock eyes with his master in concern.

''The immortals of the third immortal realm are all afraid. What shall we do, Master?''

There was only one immortal he knows with the original being of a purple star. A star so ambitious to convince them all to draw powers from the sun and be Gods.

Yuerong. She's dead.

''Take me to the fallen star.''

''Yes, Master.''
