Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: First Meeting with Charles

Chapter 1: First Meeting with Charles

Late at night, everything was silent, with a bright moon and sparse stars.

The bustling shops that were lively during the day had long since closed their doors.

Only the neon signs hanging above them were still flickering with light.

In a certain corner, a pair of eyes was cautiously scanning the surroundings.

By the dim afterglow of the neon lights, a small figure could vaguely be seen.

At this moment, he was slightly raising his hand, seemingly preparing to do something.

Surprisingly, as the figure extended his palm, the arc-shaped camera suspended above the shop entrance eerily shifted its angle.

After doing this, the figure quickly walked out from the corner.

As he walked, his gaze rapidly scanned the surroundings, ready to hide at any moment.

Fortunately, the journey was uneventful, and the figure successfully arrived at the entrance of the shop.

It was then that the small figure was clearly seen to be a boy of about eight or nine years old.

He had a messy head of black hair, a face covered in dirt, and his clothes were filthy.

He wasn't tall, at most only about 1.2 to 1.3 meters.

But his pair of dark eyes appeared exceptionally bright.

He once again scanned his surroundings, and after confirming no one was around, the boy slightly closed his eyes. The innate power, following his thoughts, slowly extended towards the lock on the shop's front door.

The next second, with a 'click', the tightly shut shop door actually split open a crack.

The lock had opened by itself.

Just as the boy was about to step into the shop, a voice suddenly came from the darkness to one side.

"Theft is an immoral act!"

The boy's heart jumped, and he reflexively raised his hand, preparing to control a piece of glass he held to shoot it behind him.

"Child, don't be nervous, we mean you no harm!"

The gentle male voice from before appeared again. There was an inexplicable, reassuring magic in his voice, which made the boy, who had just made a move, unconsciously stop.

However, he still remained vigilant and slowly turned around.

Behind him, two people had appeared at some unknown point.

They were two adult White men, both seemingly around thirty years old.

One of them was tall and thin, wearing glasses on his nose, looking like a refined bookworm.

As for the other, he was a middle-aged man sitting in a wheelchair.

He had long dark golden hair, a gentle and elegant demeanor, naturally giving people a sense of closeness, like a good-natured person.

The moment he saw the two, the boy's pupils sharply contracted.

This scene was naturally noticed by the middle-aged man in the wheelchair.

"Child, you seem to know us?"

Know?

More than just know!

They were practically famous!

The boy didn't speak, but his gaze remained fixed on the two, his expression unreadable.

Seeing this, the middle-aged man in the wheelchair pushed his wheelchair, moving closer to the boy.

"My name is Charles Xavier. I am the headmaster of a special school, and he is Hank McCoy, a teacher at the school."

Charles smiled as he introduced himself and the refined man standing beside him.

Hearing this, the boy looked over at the man.

Seeing him cast his gaze, the man named Hank also smiled at him.

"Aiden." The boy replied, which was clearly his name.

"The purpose of our school is to specifically teach and cultivate children like you who possess special talents.

Would you like to come with us? You will never go hungry again, nor will you ever live on the streets again."

Charles looked at the boy with sincere eyes, a gentle smile on his lips, giving off an approachable and kind feeling.

But to those unaware of the situation, his current appearance resembled more that of a child trafficker trying to abduct a child.

However, the boy knew that the other party could never be such a person.

After all, this man sitting in a wheelchair with a gentle smile was the famous Professor X, possessing the strongest brain in the World.

As for how he recognized the other party's identity? It was because he was not from this World.

Yes, he was a transmigrator named Aiden.

As for why he transmigrated?

It seemed he was hit by a truck. He vaguely remembered seeing the words 'Good Bye' on the truck.

Then he closed his eyes and opened them again, becoming a nine-year-old boy, and seemingly arriving on the other side of the ocean.

At first, he only thought he had been reborn, but now, seeing these two, he understood that he had transmigrated.

And he had transmigrated into the Mutant World within the Marvel Universe, which he was familiar with in his previous life.

After two seconds of contemplation, Aiden replied.

"I agree, but you have to promise me one thing." Aiden's gaze turned to Charles.

"What do you want?"

Hearing Aiden's response, Charles was also a little curious.

Aiden looked directly into Charles's blue eyes and said very seriously, "My request is very simple: never try to peek into my memories."

"Uh..."

Listening to Aiden's words, Charles was slightly stunned.

A hint of embarrassment appeared on his face.

"Well, I'm very sorry, but I actually already checked the moment I first saw you."

Charles was an honest and good-natured person.

Deceiving a child was something his moral compass wouldn't allow, so he directly admitted that he had just used telepathy to read his mind.

Hearing this, Aiden frowned, filled with confusion.

If he remembered correctly, in the original comic, Professor X looked into Deadpool's memories, and after learning that everything he knew was a fictional character in a comic book, he went insane.

Why was the other party still fine now?

Since the other party wasn't insane, it could only mean that the other party had strong endurance, or that he hadn't seen his past life's memories.

Sure enough, Charles continued, "Your innate talent seems to be able to block my psychic perception. I can't see any of your memories, which is very rare!"

Hearing Charles's words, Aiden suddenly understood.

It turned out that his Mutant ability prevented Charles from probing his memories.

Upon receiving this news, Aiden secretly breathed a sigh of relief.

It wasn't that he was worried Charles would pose a threat to him after knowing his identity as a transmigrator. Given Charles's personality, as he knew it, he would never harm a child who was only nine years old.

What Aiden was worried about was that Charles, his protector for a period of time, would go insane because of this reason.

In that case, the foothold he had finally found would be wasted.

After all, the hostility of this World towards Mutants was very strong.

"Let's go, I'll take you to see your new home!" Charles smiled and waved to Aiden, then led the way towards the open square not far away.

After walking a distance, the three arrived at the open square. Hank raised his hand and operated the wristband on his wrist.

The next moment, a blurry outline appeared, which was a highly futuristic aircraft.

Following the two, Aiden entered the aircraft, and the hatch slowly closed.

With the engine starting, the aircraft became transparent again.
