Synopsis
A year after losing Travis, Silver tries to build a new life in New York — a tiny apartment, a night job, and the ghosts of her past. But the hunters haven’t stopped searching for her… and neither has fate. When a mysterious wolf saves her life, Silver is drawn into the orbit of Matrix — charming, magnetic, and dangerously controlling. What begins as comfort and desire quickly twists into something darker, a romance that blurs the line between love and captivity. Meanwhile, whispers spread of a weapon that could wipe vampires out forever. Silver must decide who to trust, what to fight for, and how much of herself she’s willing to lose before everything shatters again.

Rain slicked streets. The smell of wet asphalt mixed with iron and smoke. Everything moved in slow motion, like the world had decided to pause just for this moment—just for us.

Travis's hand gripped mine, tight and trembling, but his blue eyes—so light they almost looked white—were alive, filled with fire, defiance, and a love that had never needed words until now.

"You have to go," he whispered, voice ragged but steady. "You have to survive… no matter what."

I shook my head, pressing myself closer. "No. You can't… I can't—"

He cut me off with a shiver of laughter, small but sharp. "Silver… listen. You've always been stronger than you think. Stronger than me, even. You have to keep going. Promise me."

I nodded, tears streaking my face, blurring the rain around us. "I promise… I promise I'll survive. But Travis, please… don't leave me."

He pressed the small, worn notebook into my hands. The leather cover was familiar, heavy with the weight of his music, thoughts, and secrets. "Take it," he said, voice faltering. "All of it… my plans, my mistakes… my songs. Everything you'll need if… if I'm not there."

I clutched it to my chest, trembling, fingers soaked from rain and his blood. "I don't care about plans or songs. I care about you."

A soft, broken smile touched his lips. "Then hear this, Silver… one last time."

He leaned closer, eyes locking with mine. "I love you. Always have. Always will."

I couldn't breathe. The world had narrowed to the sound of his voice, the feel of his hand against mine, the heat and light in his gaze. And I whispered it back, voice cracking.

"I love you too. I love you so much."

The moment stretched, fragile and infinite. Then the hunters struck—fast, ruthless, unavoidable. He pushed me behind a wall, shielding me, taking the brunt of the attack. Pain flared across his body, sharp and bright, and I screamed, lunging toward him, but he gripped my wrist.

"Go! Survive… Silver!"

I clung to him anyway, sobs ripping through me. "No! Please, Travis!"

His grip loosened, his strength fading, but his eyes never wavered. He pressed his forehead to mine, a silent communion of trust, love, and farewell.

"Go… find your path… and live for both of us," he whispered, voice thin, fading.

Then he was gone.

The world tilted, and I fell to my knees, clutching the notebook to my chest. The rain drenched me, mixing with tears, mixing with the memory of his laughter, his warmth, his impossible courage.

And I made a silent vow through the sobs and the storm: I would survive. I would carry him with me. I would never forget.

Because even in death, he was my compass. My anchor. My first love.

And the hunters? They would not get the last word.
